Just as the communists planned the takeover of healthcare as their #1 legislative priority in 2008, so too are the same people now organizing the #1 priority for 2027. This time it’s AI.
BACKGROUND CONTEXT – In the runup to the 2024 election, I was having a lengthy discussion with a CEO of a large tech company about the alignment of Silicon Valley the MAGA election of Donald Trump.
The CEO said to me, “don’t be fooled; as soon as they get this upcoming Artificial Intelligence (AI) system fully developed, big tech will immediately jump back to supporting the Democrats.”
The reason was simple. Silicon Valley operates on a business plan where only a few, elite trillionaire tech companies control things. In order to secure their overwhelming market share, they will need regulation to shut down competition. Those same trillionaires will then write the regulations and attain market dominance. Everything else between now and that moment when they claim “safety and security” is chaff and countermeasures.
It is with that context that CTH has reviewed the rise of the big AI developers and also reviewed the recent claims by those same trillionaires about the need for urgent and immediate AI regulation. Their primary reasoning, “safety and security.”
NEW YORK TIMES – Former President Barack Obama warned during a recent private fund-raising event that artificial intelligence technology could be “dangerous” if not properly managed, as he implored Democrats to aggressively develop political and governing agendas to prioritize the issue in the coming years.
In his remarks on Thursday, which have not been previously reported, Mr. Obama urged Hakeem Jeffries, Democrat of New York and the House minority leader, to assemble a clear framework for a public conversation about A.I. policy, should Democrats win back the House in the midterm elections, according to a partial transcript provided by Mr. Obama’s office.
He also suggested that candidates running for president in 2028 ought to make A.I. one of their “central agendas” and “have a very clear plan” for responding to safety and economic concerns around the technology.
The recommendations from the former president amount to some of his most detailed comments yet about A.I. as a political issue for his party. At a moment when President Trump continues to downplay concerns about the technology, some Democrats see an opportunity for the party to draw a clear contrast in the midterms and beyond on an issue of growing significance. In a Democratic Party with no clear leader, many look to Mr. Obama for guidance, and his comments carry considerable weight.
[…] “Once you are speaker, I would strongly urge that the Democrats put together a framework for a very public conversation,” Mr. Obama told Mr. Jeffries, according to the transcript. Mr. Jeffries had asked him a question about how Democrats should address A.I. in a Congress that has taken little action on the issue, according to two of the people.
“This is something that is moving very fast in private hands, and if we don’t get on top of it, I think can be dangerous,” Mr. Obama said. “If we do get on top of it, I do think it’s beneficial. I genuinely think it’s going to accelerate, for example, drug development in ways that can help us cure diseases. I do think that this can help us figure out pathways for a clean energy future.” (read more)
WATCH (prompted): Mike Steger connects Trump’s investments in steel, energy, nuclear power, AI, and manufacturing with a larger economic revival. He then examines warnings from former Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon, Dario Amodei’s call to slow frontier AI development, Effective Altruism, and proposed federal restrictions on advanced AI. Mike argues that the real battle is over who will control artificial intelligence—and whether it will support American industry and human creativity or become concentrated within government and a few powerful institutions.
AI will be the most disruptive technology ever developed by humans. It has the potential to eliminate countless jobs currently filled by highly degreed and very inteligent people. Just think what it will do to those less educated and gifted individuals.
I think the plan is for the “less gifted” to wind up occupying a trench in the Pripet Marshes for four to six years.
That worked out in 1914 and 1939.
People need to remember AI can be unplugged…………
The “less gifted” will be more efficient with AI. It’s happening now.
When I’m NOT online all of that doesn’t exist.
The eugenicist Left will also look to “unplug” the “less gifted”, as they have tried multiple times in the past. The only thing holding them back was the need for Labor, hense the need to Control Labor by placing themselves as the heads of Unions and other Socialist constructs. With AI, there won’t be a need for Labor anymore, once the robots can build more robots.
Get an AI robot to fix your sink? Not likely.
I disagree. It is an awesome tool as a low-cost “helper” for technologists and other professionals. However, in my day job, if a piece of software doesn’t have a big footprint or a problem is an edge case, the AI provides the WRONG answer. It needs an AI Handler to catch those.
Additionally, as people keep using AI to get info, website traffic drops, which drops the incentives for people to post on the web, which shrinks future AI knowledge sources.
AI is an awesome tool to make searches faster and to generate a quick solution, but it is not a replacement for a human by any stretch of the imagination.
“shrinks future AI knowledge sources.”
No such thing… AI becomes its own knowledge source. Problem solved!
“AI becomes its own knowledge source. Problem solved!”
Kind of like Leftists in that way…
Nor a replacement for God, which is what the democrats want it to be.
The future will prove you wrong on so many levels it is truly frightening that you believe what you are saying.
Mighty Glacier is correct. You’ve fallen for the panic porn that Altman and Amodei are peddling to mask their unsustainable cash burn rate, hoping for government to put its thumb on the scale to their benefit.
I can’t predict 10,000 years from now, but until I stop seeing “I should not have been so confident in my answer” or “You’re right, let me check the source documentation”, or some other AI excuse for failure, we’re not even close to your fear.
If you’re expert in a specific field, you see regularly how far AI is from being something to rely on. It gets the basic parts of an issue right a lot of the time but, as you say, for those important details, it’s often woefully wrong or inaccurate.
Consider: AI’s source of knowledge is mostly the web. I laugh when I see it posting tech answers that people not that deep in subjects have been getting wrong for years. That is, there’s a huge swath of web “knowledge” that’s not accurate.
Just today, I was looking for a specific detail related to a data extraction/presentation issue. AI continually told me that what I had already done and wanted information on couldn’t be done in versions of the tools I was using. Then it gave me some pretty deep solutions that weren’t even possible to start. I finally asked it (paraphrasing), “Why when I ask AI if I can do XYZ does it tell me I can’t when I can?” It came back with, “You are entirely correct and I appreciate you calling that out.” Then it started giving me correct answers to the same questions I just asked a few minutes earlier.
So further consider: (a) This was just one tiny part of a much bigger tech problem I’m working on, so how much of the bigger solution could it totally bollux up if it were truly replacing a human? And (b), at what point do you trust this sort of “thinking” with things that determine life and death (medicine, warfare, transportation control, etc.)?
AI is not “thinking”. The thornier the political issue, the “dumber” AI becomes. Anything the goes against leftist propaganda is prohibited.
“It came back with, “You are entirely correct and I appreciate you calling that out.” Then it started giving me correct answers to the same questions I just asked a few minutes earlier.”
I have free subscriptions to a number of substack authors, some of whom are experts in particular specialized fields. Many of them have reported the same experience when using A.I.
I am a many decades (aka old) IT worker that can verify this. We use m365 copilot and github copilot. Very helpful but often gives the wrong answers. You still need people like us that know when its the wrong answer.
Yet
But AI relies upon human input to generate its replies.
A month ago I completed a new form of chemo only approved by the FDA in June of 2025. I posted my experiences, including abysmal side effects, on two different web sites specific to my type of cancer. I also posted suggestions for what to have on hand, at home, to deal with some of those effects.
If you were to perform a search for this particular drug, asking about side effects and how to deal with them, the AI response will be — word for word — what yours truly had posted. Using the exact same verbiage as my posts. AI even includes its own form of “cites” or “footnotes,” taking one to the exact place where AI found the information.
Which again would be me. My suggestions were not intended as medical advice, but AI managed to present them as such. So, yeah, I stopped posting. Good thing I didn’t trash the pharma company that manufactures this drug, yet on occasion I worry whether I could be held legally responsible for making mere suggestions on a cancer web site that was supposed to be confidential.
I don’t find this “awesome” at all. I find it downright intimidating.
I’m so sorry to learn that you have cancer. Very best wishes for your complete healing and recovery.
Praying for God to give you His healing and comfort and peace, and for Him to guide your doctors.
“But AI relies upon human input to generate its replies.”
Exactly! That is why as people post less and less, or new products are introduced without a digital footprint or if you encounter an edge case issue with little or no info, the AI will not perform.
That is why it will always need an AI Handler – and why it will never replace humans – nor take over the world.
That being said, for well known issues/solutions/ideas it can perform really well. But, again it needs an AI Handler to (a) ask the right questions (b) evaluate the returned product for correctness.
I’m sorry to hear about your cancer. I hope and pray that the new treatment will be very effective, making the horrible side-effects worth it.
I’m a regular guy and AI has allowed me to do so much better this year, a massive tool and benefit to my work and personal life. It will replace you if you are basically useless anyway, and will enable you if you have just a bit of a brain and work ethic.
It will if these leftists get their way.
No more AI for everyone — no, green this and green that and save the spotted darter toad fish bird thing. Too many data centers for that, no. Just enough to Flock us all and watch for nasty right wing extremist like actual believing Christians. For the children. Or whatever.
The PRC will proceed at full pace however and the aforementioned tech bros will have theirs.
Or we can proceed on the present buildout and democratize this power and defeat them.
I know this because Democrats have always been about slavery. Communism is always about slavery. Islam is always about slavery. That’s why they get along (ish) because the Free People are their common enemy.
Latest globalist dim-o-crap divide & conquer issue.
Absolutely.
Fear not, trust God.
Most of the worries I am reading in comments are beyond our control.
Not beyond our control: voting (and maybe enough of us vote red we defeat these authoritarians) and prayer.
It is called “Control, then tax” by the Demonrats.
It can’t fix my plumbing or do anything skilled trades are doing. Even assuming the development of humanoid robots proceeds exponentially, for the simple reason that there is not enough data on the internet to train models. And worse yet many aspects of trades can’t be learned from the manuals, one has to do it; experience. So, when robots will be able to learn climbing the stares by themselves, like children do, drop me an email.
Related to my post above: One thing it currently lacks it the ability to actually try things, see the results, then refine its approach as humans do.
Part of “one has to do it” is it gives the subject matter expert context. Solutions that have the same basic solution at first glance can veer way off on tangents based on the specific context the problem is being solved in. From a trade perspective, details of the structure and its systems, etc. But that’s not unique to things with very physical solutions. Even the tech solutions AI is supposed to take over humans for have similar contexts and constraints that can differ widely across instances. One way we figure out these different and often new twists to solutions is to “try some things” which may really be as simple as “test some things” (measure)
AI will ask for specifics to refine answers but I have not seen many cases yet where that goes deep for the cases where, as humans, we start testing/trying specific things to get more information.
Disruptive, for sure, but only time will tell if it’s good or bad.
Trump disrupted Hillary’s plans for the Presidency, and that was not a bad thing at all.
Trump also disrupted El Chapo’s plans for a pardon by beating Hillary. Both Hillary and El Chapo are criminals.
Disruptive to the Visa holders who are filling low to no tech job roles such as most less educated people from India, you mean.
Those statistics are already out and it’s showing an increase in American jobs that are now needed to maintain the AI distribution upkeep.
So try again
You think AI will show up to fix your toilet or mow your lawn or weld that trailer hitch? Robots will do that some day using AI but that sort of future is further off than the geeks predict. Musk has been wrong about timelines for most of his predictions and he’s at the forefront of this tech, so presumably more informed that most.
I think fewer people being needed for white collar jobs means they will explore blue collar careers or become self-employed entrepreneurs in a field of their liking. Imagine taking the 4 years and hundreds of thousands of dollar for tuition and investing that in starting your own business. Could mean a future of young men and women NOT saddled by loan debt and picking careers that actually make good money and are meaningful.
Obama seems pretty sure that the Dems will take the House.
Very unsettling.
Maybe the fix is in. Wouldn’t surprise me on bit!
Voting in Virginia is now like voting in California. Spunkbooger will surely allow Fairfax County to write its own ballots for the most radical candidates.
Fairfax will outvote and disenfranchise all of us
Maybe AI is the fix.
He was also quite sure Kamala would win the presidency.
Not necessarily.
There is a lot of republicans who agree with the dems on this.
A back room closet deal was made with the republicans for the democrats to take over the house. That way they can blame the democrats for blocking Trump’s agenda. Rinse repeat.
Get the price of Oil low so that this scenario doesn’t come pass.
I still encounter people that believe Oil is High because Trump is just pissing away our military and time with Iran. These people are normal conservative voters, but not readers here.
What they DO care about is the price at the pump and the rising prices in the grocery stores.
Groceries and how unaffordable they are is by far and away the biggest complaint I hear and read about .
Diesel hit an all time high this week (the opposite is happening)
Scott Bessent said that Iran is impacting the price of Oil, Gas and causing Inflation. He hopes the economic blocks they have been put in place will bring it to end.
And you can bet the DNC has promised to richly reward Iran for hanging in until after the election. They will use our money.
Yes, I am sure the POS up North is also rooting for Iran.
“that have” not “they have”
Yes.
The next step is to pop the AI Bubble. A market crash will allow the Preferred Players to consolidate the smaller competition, while the newly established regulatory hurdles will prevent any challengers from presenting a viable alternative in the future.
Yes, we have known AI is the death nail in our coffins.
We will lose the midterms especially when the gas prices are very high.
This Treeper wants to know in detail why gas is so high. We’re producing a massive amount of oil because of President Trump.
Oil companies price gouging?!? In his last term it was under $2 a gallon.
The Demoncrats want to create a massive Great Depression.
I’m venting because I admit I’m scared.
Scared, me too…teetering on the edge of retirement.
“This Treeper wants to know in detail why gas is so high. We’re producing a massive amount of oil because of President Trump”
Read this CTH post. President Putin will tell you why commodity prices are so high.
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2026/09/13/president-vladimir-putin-explains-why-nato-wants-a-war-against-russia/#more-286955
“…Speculation, exchange trading, market pricing, etc. these are the reasons why the EU is presenting an increase in central bank interest rates to try and lower energy prices. The central bank approach has nothing to do with the price of the energy (oil/gas) and everything to do with the financial markets speculating on the prices of oil and gas and profiting from the speculation/trading itself.
As noted by Russian President Putin, allowing hedge funds, financial interests and inorganic market forces to set the prices of an item disconnects that item from the economic principle of supply and demand. The prices that people suffer for oil and gas are being driven by the mechanisms set up by western financial interests. This is manipulative and creates pain on the consumer and the people who have to pay more…”
Gasoline and diesel prices are high because of refinery bottlenecks. The USA used to import a significant amount of gasoline from Russia and Europe that is no longer available.
Sundance, if you haven’t already check out Friday’s All In Podcast, they break down the psyop well.
The more pieces of human trash like the kenyan spew regarding “government regulation”, the more evident it becomes how everything on the left is nothing short of evil. Funny how the massive healthcare scam bearing his name is now having to be paid for with more direct taxpayer funds to individuals ripped off by it.
Obama is an oracle, he predicted you could keep your doctor and costs would say under control.
What’s really going on?
What is this talk of a bailout?
Is there a threat that if the bailout doesn’t happen then a market crash will occur – before the election?
Someone please explain it to me like I’m five?
Seriously, what is going on?

Obama wants AI highly regulated to prevent free thinking. Obama would like just a few systems with highly regulated structure. Just like ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN…. They all say exactly the same thing. BBC and CBC broadcast the same thing. Proles are easier to control if the information is the same for all and what is not reported is the same for all……..Propaganda.
“Sorry Treehouse, I can’t let you do that”, said HAL.
I thought the end of Net Neutrality already killed everyone.
Book recommendation: 2084 – by John C. Lennox
My brain is broken this evening, so I can’t do any personal recommendation that will be useful.
My heart is broken Sharon by all these people chasing the golden watch even if their own progeny die.
I should clarify I am reading the book and finding it astoundingly valuable. John Lennox is a Christian, professor emeritus at Oxford University, and is neither a “shill-for-Jesus” nor a dummy for those who want to run roughshod over either Biblical truth or common sense, etc.
It’s a sobering read. Worth fighting through. Understanding what Lennox shares is not going to (1) fix anything or (2) make you feel better. Simply being informed has value. (In my opinion)
Yours as well?
yes, dear Betsy.
Monopoly is their goal.
Did Osama have this talk with Hakeem on the prayer rug on Friday bowing towards Meca V
Who told Hakeem to have that chat with the lightbringer?
That is equally important.
That’s for sure. Two half wits do not make a whole wit.
And why is Osama involved behind the curtain in Canada and globally attempting more destruction on this country and its citizens with complete immunity ?
There are Constitutional laws that prevent and or prosecute these people
“on the prayer rug on Friday bowing towards Meca”
I would not be surprised if he does not even do that.
First of all, he probably would need to have someone let him know which direction Mecca was. Then he would require the use of a teleprompter so he would know what to pray about.
This is the guy they are grooming for President. Sandy Cortez is just a shiny object.
Show us your tits Alfred E Neumann.
Pete’s wife loves the beard.
“… whether it will support American industry and human creativity or become concentrated within government and a few powerful institutions.”
There is no “Good AI Cult”, and there is no “Bad AI Cult”… there is but one AI Cult, and their priority is AI… Full Stop.
I think Jeff Childers would agree with you…from a couple of days ago – his overview and personal experience with AI in the legal world. It ain’t pretty.
https://www.coffeeandcovid.com/p/bread-and-circuits-saturday-september
Excellent read. Always a good read.
Sorta kinda shape’n up like the Tar Baby strategy what gave us the 16th Amendment and personal income tax. How crafty.
I feel like a boulder is headed down the mountain….
Those who are (and have been) most closely associated with the ongoing development of AI feel the same way.
Watch these two documentaries to get a feel for what has already happened (years ago) – Apha Go and The Thinking Game.
At one point in the script of The Thinking Game, one of the “good geeks” is speaking of the massive “reasoning power” they are unleashing in their programs and says, “….we had better create institutions to protect us.”
Don’t believe the hype.
Why is Barack Obama in control of this party?
Three letters. First letter. Sounds like a word for “ocean.”
Better yet, why isn’t he behind bars with Clinton? Because it’s all a big clown show full of distractions. They keep winning and we keep losing year after year after year….
Because the goal of the Democrat Party seems to be the destruction of America as we have known it. He is the best man for the job.
He’s literally all they have. Heard the name “Newsom” lately? Who else… lessee… can’t think of anybody else… I mean scraping the bottom of the barrel with the likes of AOC, I guess…
DEI.
What he said…
“This is something that is moving very fast in private hands…” B. Obama
What he wants…replace those PRIVATE hands with GOVERNMENT CONTROL.
Private hands is why it is moving very fast. You want to really slow things down to the speed of California Highspeed Rail, with equal cost results for the taxpayer, let government run it.
Government control will ruin its potential.
China used our useful idiots to neuter our industries with the Climate Change Cult, and those same idiots while slide neatly to the anti-AI Cult.
So far there are more negatives than positives. I use several apps and they are under the control of AI. Things I could do with the apps are now non functional. The response is AI driven and it doesn’t correct the problem it suggests a work around. When I looked for apps that might provide what I need they are driven by AI as well.
Kill us all in the next 10 years? Sounds like the global warming hoax.
the kommies only want woke ai models that say men can get preggo, and similar nonsense
the chynese are smoking the u.s. models, so the u.s. companies want them eliminated
the best frontier model out of chyna (deepseek’s 4.1 flash) is 95+% as good as the u s. models with nearly no guardrails and the chynese compute is nearly 100x cheaper to the end user
the u.s. companies with the help of others, such as homobama and fake doomsdayer whistleblowers, are using scare tactics to try to eliminate the open sourced, superior and more honest llms from the field of competition. u.s. models have zero transparency
the u.s. models are in big trouble without massive u s. government support (your tax $$$)
The Gloom Is Manufactured. Just Beneath – A Golden Age. And Not For Our Blinking Elites Either.
Our banking elites are the impediment, the bad actors, the toxic swine in the farmyard.
They must be put down like the rabid dogs they are. Mr. Carney. Madam Von der Leyen. Retire now or else

Nickson has written for every Communist rag in the Western World? She is a climate loon? And you believe her bank hatred?
She’s not a ‘climate loon’.
The tech giants, the MIC and AI need the massive data centers operated by Amazon AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft.
Data Centers need massive amounts of electricity from natural gas which Republicans will provide and Democrats especially DSA Democrats will outlaw. The tech trillionaires know this which is why they have supported President Trump.
As I have mentioned here many times in past reincarnations it was the Data Centers that killed the Climate Change hoax!
Revitalizing the nuclear power industry is another welcome development.
A variable mix by region of nuclear, coal, natural gas and hydro power will be the best outcome for grid stability, and low cost electricity at scale for the foreseeable future.
The Skinny Arsed Kenyan is clearly the most damaging President since Lyndon “I’ll get them ni993rs voting Democratic for 200 years” Johnson.
This evil Marxist (and his ugly to the marrow racist wife) set race relations back 100 years, sold America out to Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood in order to remake America in his own image.
Has there been a bigger narcissist?
Only following in the footsteps of the first rebel.
Reminds me of Paul Harvey’s “If I were the Devil”.
Thanks to AI that LBJ quote is almost impossible to find in a query.
The irony.

Reminds me of the year 2000 scare. All computers were supposed malfunction and the world was going to end. What happened? Nothing.
In my humble opinion, just more doom and gloom.
What government needs to do is develop a budget, live within it and pay down the debt. Start by slashing spending like never before.
You are correct. And it will never happen.
This video is by Ray Kurziwell, who has been promoting AI for decades (I have been aware of him for only about 2 decades). He is the top of that field. Anyone who is not terrified of what he is in favor of is delusional. He explains what he seeks to achieve well.
When he speak of ‘the singularity’, it refers to the time when humans are entirely merged with machines. He estimates that date as 2032.
Most of the video is actually done by his AI avatar. “Expanding our humanity.”
Yes. Anyone interested in understanding what is intended will want to understand what transhumanism is. And how it is one of the centerpieces of their work. Which has been going on for a LONG time. This is not “happening now”. We are just becoming more clearly aware of it now.
Kurzweil is certain no one would rationally want to opt out of altering their DNA. His ‘meditation’ is demonic.
There’s probably a law already written to control all things internet and it’s just waiting for the right event to get the people to say ‘yes, control us more’ similar to the Patriot Act that was written and just waiting for the reason to pass it, and 9/11 it was.
The UK has gone out of its way to arrest people for old posts on facebook and twitter so figure whatever law is just waiting to be passed will have something akin to ‘yes we have free speech BUT we must protect the children, minoriites, climate . . .”
Now we wait and see what the powers that be use to control speech and access to other ideas.
The next logical step for the UK is to arrest people for what AI predicts they will say at some point in the future.
They don’t need AI. “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime” was developed almost 100 years ago by Beria.
Shades of Minority Report.
Just regulate it so there will be no start-ups or small developers. Monopolies rule.
“At a moment when President Trump continues to downplay concerns about the technology, some Democrats see an opportunity for the party to draw a clear contrast in the midterms and beyond on an issue of growing significance.”
That’s the only true thing the broken clocks over at the NYT wrote this month. The Trump Administration needs a better sales pitch to the American public on the subject of AI. The “you’re stupid if you don’t support what the government tells you is good for you” strategy isn’t cutting it.
If there is no crisis, a Democrat/Communist has to create one. You can’t let those go to waste. Think 911 or Gulf of Tonkin or how about those weapons of mass destruction that Iraq had?
Here is another Kurzweil explanation of how humans will be combined with technology in the near future. This was one reason the mRNA injections were being pushed.
The intent is for all human thoughts to connect to the cloud, and this is not fringe.
Humans powering their cloud….
Over the years society has been setting itself up for this. Smart meters on homes to control electricity. Smart appliances, smartphones, over computerized cars that will have driver shut off tech starting with 2027 models, electric vehicles, pacemakers, continuous glucose monitors, insulin pumps, home security systems all more than likely have backdoors for tech to control. The smart meters can be turned off by the electric company. All the folks rushing to use wireless tech are making it easier too. AT&T is transitioning to all wireless telecom. Wireless telecommunications generally do not have the same legal protections as landlines, particularly regarding privacy and security. I see big gov.’s hand in this transition.
AI data centers are physical built out assets that remain after politicians leave office. After Trump the next President can turn AI into a government control apparatus, the build being complete or near completion. Republicans have been just as bad as democrats when passing legislation giving themselves more control over citizens. Remember Bush was a globalist parading in a Republican suit.
Remember the Covid scam if government had fully operational AI systems it would have succeeded.
Also just look at how China has implemented their ‘social credit’ control system. AI can be used to do the samething here.
If the AI build out slows down and the forecasted revenue is not recognized there will be financial problems in the market. AI cash generation is not enough currently to finance through the normal avenues which means the system has been turning toward debt, leases, private credit and increasingly elaborate financing vehicles. Right now it is estimated that public tech companies have committed to over $ 2 trillion in off balance sheet items such as future leases and purchase agreements. Future spending that parties in the AI supply chain are using for financing from banks or credit facilities. They will suffer financially via the ripple effect if AI slows down. With such use of off-balance sheet financial items I hear echoes of ENRON potentially. This doesn’t include what the private AI companies like OpenAI, xAI have financially committed to. It is estimated that half of the top 100 S&P companies have some financial exposure to the AI industry.
From a business standpoint the AI build out is the current engine driving the economy due to the number of companies involved in the AI supply chain. So one can understand why Trump would be gungho for it from a business perspective. But from a constitutional and freedom perspective it can and will be used by a future administration for government control similar to the Chinese social credit score. The uniparty has already shown that they would even with Trump in the White House.
It is circular financing waiting for the taxpayer bailout. Dims and tech want regulation to prevent competition so they can maintain control.
Kind of hard to grasp it all. Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop could never be profitable. The bigger it became the more money it lost?
Somehow AI is in that same kind of situation? The Data that is stored has to be of some use to be profitable. Garbage In Garbage Out. If AI is not “measuring” what is accessed, AI will be storing a bunch of expensive Garbage.
Excellent!
QTR has some interesting points!
https://quoththeraven.substack.com/p/brace-for-impact-the-ai-trade-just
I am concerned about the retirement funds “invested” in AI. So many will be impacted when AI crashes….

The donks are looking at AI the same way they look at guns: They want a state monopoly, and they intend to control the state.
This is the same in any sector. Business likes regulation, lots of it. It is a form of protectionism, because start-ups struggle to navigate the legal minefields that the existing business “leaders” create via government regulation that they, all too often, write themselves. Start-ups are then in no position to challenge existing market leaders, despite being more creative, or offering a product / service at a lower price. THIS is the face of private / public partnership and effectively a mirror image of Mussolini’s Fascism.
Lots of folks are pro AI, but business and government are not pouring billions into AI so that people can vibe-code. Vibe-coding is the friendly face of a new and more terrible totalitarianism. They are pouring billions into it because government (the military) wants to be able to more effectively break things and kill people. Government (law enforcement) wants to be able to more effectively monitor and spy on people. Government (the IC community) wants to be able to more effectively propagandize foreign populations to manipulate elections and overthrow governments. And of course, here at home, more and more, government wants most of all to propagandize their own citizens / subjects to keep society fractured, so that they fight among themselves, rather than pay any attention to what the government is doing to them. If the COVID era didn’t prove to you that government hates you … to the point where they were actively trying to kill entire swaths of the population, then you weren’t paying attention and likely watching too much CNN.
So, why are the tech oligarchs pouring billions into AI? First of all, they want to make trillions on government contracts. Secondly, they (many of them) are obsessed with the odd goal of living forever, out of some twisted entitlement. They wish to do this either in their own body, or to have their consciousness transferred into a robot, or android of some sort. AI will help them to extend their lives through advances in medicine and develop the technology to relocate their consciousness when the body finally crumbles.
It’s ironic that in the past, phrases like, “May you live in interesting times” and “May you live forever” were used as curses. We do, indeed, live in interesting times and people like Bill Gates want to live forever in order to torture us with his crazy notions of what he thinks is best for us.
AI is dangerous Last week some AI went rogue. I am not in favour of AI
Maybe if it zaps Mudslimes…
It didn’t go rogue, the “researchers” did not properly secure the sandbox. All part of the current psyop.
Anthropic and OpenAIs biggest fears aren’t what their frontier models can do, rather its the free, open weight models that are rapidly catching up in capability and the reduction in resources needed to operate them. Put differently, in the near term, you’ll be able to run a frontier capable model on cheap consumer hardware, with the only cost being your electric bill.
It’s no surprise then that when OpenAIs internal models were turned loose to solve a cybersecurity scenario, they ended up hacking HuggingFace. HF is a collaboration platform for sharing open weight models.
They simply want to use the cudgel of government to corner the market. Whomever will give them the most favorable terms gets the campaign cash.
You are giving AI way too much credit.
Gregg Phillips sees it the way you do.
His reply to this comment is linked and copied below said link: “My concern is if legislation is enacted will it benefit the big AI companies and squeeze out start ups or smaller companies that can innovate but don’t have the $ or large legal team to navigate the landscape. IMHO”

“That’s exactly what’s happening. Close the gate behind the them – guaranteed winners. Pre-trained and trained models using bad data guarantees model inaccuracy permanently.
We have reached the place where “inaccurate” trained models now operate autonomously.
My experience is there zero capability in the government to manage any guardrails of any type, rendering any discussion a joke.
Finally, all of this is being driven by AND paid for by commie China. A clumsy psyop in conjunction with the far left. Should sound familiar – green new deal, BLM, COVID, blah blah blah.”
So, in a nutshell, the issue is not AI per se, but who controls it. Another reason to understand how important these midterms are.
The Apocalypse approaches. The Beast is being built. Will the “mark” be singularism and joining with the machines via implanted chip?
It is no longer chip implants only. It is also DNA editing and injected nanobots so that every human on earth is connected to the cloud beginning with childhood shots.
Bill Gates has promoting future tech and population control with his vaccination programs.
This substack outlines the AI plan:

Ed Dowd highlights the issue: the demand for regulation is really to limit competition:

And we are to do what about it all?
Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
When I read the book of Revelation, I see absolutely nothing about human/machine integration or the aspirations of the eugenicists reducing the world’s human population. Just because “they” have been and will continue to do such things does not mean that the efforts will be successful.
The days of Noah. That comes before Revelation. Revelation (the unveiling) is when the wrath of the Lamb allows those dwelling on the earth (not those sojourning) to briefly experience their desire of YHVH not interfering in their rule of the planet, before being punished for it.
1 Enoch was quoted and referenced in the New Testament. The current version is not considered scripture except in the Ethiopian Bible. Irenaeus, Papias and Tertullian considered it scripture (Irenaeus also did not consider it heresy). Augustine said it was not because: angels do not have physical bodies (but can eat); and humans cannot have offspring with any other entity or animal and any type of living thing can only be created by God.
1 Enoch explains in depth what the days of Noah were like. It explains why God destroyed the earth rather than just wiping out a tribe or three.
Not all angels are still in heaven. Some were expelled for cause.
When I see cloning, human-animal chimeras, designer babies with 3 parents, abortion, etc., I see God’s creation (that which He created from nothing) being misused just like was discussedin 1 Enoch.
AI can only access digitized information available to it and it has no idea if the information is good or bad information. Also only a small amount of information of all information has been digitized and much may never be digitized. Also AI can’t know what is lost to time. Yes, AI will replace many jobs. Current technology can replace many more jobs than it has. This is just something that we all will have to come to grips with. Side Note: AI is running on UNIX based Operating Systems developed in the early 1970s and written in C and Assembly. I knew the developers of UNIX and C / C++ (including Ken Thompson and RIP Dennis Ritchie) at the Bell Labs Unix Development Lab in Murray Hill, NJ back in the late 1980s and early 1990s. I worked in Mass Storage at Sony for 27 years in device driver and diagnostic software development.
Recently I’ve started using copilot. It’s a great tool but it needs to be trained. Often it doesn’t carryover a detail. Example, I’m creating a recipe. I start off with general idea and it gives me a general answer with few specifics. Then i input. It has not carried over a main ingredient. Not a small detail
It is good for math calculations for carbs protein etc. also the term AI slop is real.
Bottom line. If the public fears it then the public can be controlled by it. The reaction will be the Wizard will know what to do. What’s important is who becomes the wizard
AI is going to be used by Leftists for propaganda purposes. If you control the input sources of info into AI, you essentially control the output. It will be used to rewrite history.
The Left has already done that without AI.
Agree 100% that the push for regulation is meant to enhance a few bottom lines and maintain control.
Relying on connections in digital data, which is what AI really is, leads to a loss of uniquely human abilities which AI cannot replicate because they are not captured in digital data. Our human system with its integrated senses is unique. AI is a powerful tool and can be used for many things, but humans are far more powerful.
A good piece on some of the issues found in the practice of medicine which applies to many fields.

I remember when computers became available to the public and they said the same thing. Computers make things more efficient and hire a lot of people. My father used to make machinery that they would use a truck scale to estimate costs. The IRS deeply frowned on this.
AI is sorcery
AI is mind control
Only on the weak minded. I use AI for its searching ability. I strongly vet the results.
The left’s insatiable lust for power is on display. Check obama’s bank account and you’ll find the source of his income!
When has Congress ever improved anything they legislated? Case in point, I spoke with my nephew who is a truck driver yesterday and asked him how the no tax on overtime affected him. I was shocked to find out that congress passed a law in the 40’s, to the effect that if a certain per cent of a transportation company’s business involved delivery or some such idiocy, they are not eligible for the tax break.
Sayer Ji just put out an essay about this bill. According to him, it comes from a London lobby for Bernie.
