Somebody is lying to PDT re drugs coming into the country. The number of fentanyl ODs daily in Eastern Washington and other locations is still very high. Might have slowed things through the southern border but that poison getting in from Canada hasn’t appeared to slowed at all. Follow an EMS site out of Spokane. There’s 5 or 6 fentanyl ODs a day just in that city of 300k.
So why do you think someone is lying? You don’t think that there is a plethora of drugs already in the country and in distribution channels?
Do you think those drugs already in the channel could be causing those problems? Do you think that Spokane might have a much bigger drug problem than most other places?

I think it is possible, on the West Coast including Spokane, that politicians are involved with drug cartels and trafficking. Drug use is supported by supplying “harm kits” and supporting open drug use and homelessness. In downtown Spokane it is fairly common to see drugs exchanged and used in public-with no consequences. My son and I went to an event at the downtown library and the lobby was filled with drug users-many were involved in deals.
TBH this wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
Have they instituted “safe drug use zones” and facilities like California, wherein they actually provide public space and even paraphernalia for addicts to “safely” do hard drugs?
Any president can only do so much to stop people from having access to drugs but it shouldn’t be his responsibility totally. Parents need to do a better job of training their own children to not take drugs. We stand here yelling at the sky demanding the government stay out of our lives and then expect the government to intervene. People need to take personal responsibility for their own selves and their offspring and teach them how deadly drugs are. There is a story in the Bible, Jeremiah 35 explaining a father’s admonition about drinking wine. The children were given the chance to drink wine but they refused because their father had trained them not to. Same goes here.
Don’t disagree re personal responsibility however, it was only two weeks ago PDT addressed the issue with China producing and shipping the chemicals used in the production of fentanyl to major labs in Canada. The finished product is still bleeding into the US through the northern border. If anything, Canada is complicit in not cracking down on production which PDT has also tried to address. That poison is finding it’s way into a lot of different substances and killing Americans who aren’t hard-core drug users

I thought this was odd until I learned the scientific reason for the effect. A more infectious disease will crowd out a less infectious disease. Covid was optimized to infect humans, very infectious. Soo, a person equally exposed to both the flu and covid will end up with covid. The effect will also happen between strains of the same disease.

I think that was the Valdez oil spill, it caused tremendous environmental damage to the area. At any rate, there have been multiple oil spills in Alaska and I can verify everything else you stated except the bit about Alaska prohibiting flaring. Flaring is a common practice in the Gulf of America.

That regulation isn’t for environmental reasons. It’s because Alaska’s subsurface oil and gas are owned by the state and managed collectively on behalf of all Alaskans, and state law requires efforts to avoid waste.
Only about 0.17% of the state’s gas production was flared in 2021. Texas, which like Alaska is a major oil and gas producer, flared almost 1% of its gas, or 102 billion cubic feet. California flared almost 1.1%, Wyoming about 4.75% and North Dakota a whopping 7% of all gas produced.

Government involvement in stuff creates inflation. Housing, medical, education, and yes, food (thru SNAP/EBT). The producers of these goods and services know they will be paid, so they increase their prices to get more of those dollars, which requires increased funds to cover the “inflation” which then increases (we want that money) prices. Rinse/repeat constantly.

Current rate of inflation is due to Biden’s green energy policies and the stimulus for covid combined. Both are adversely impacting the pocketbook while the increases move through the economy – it takes months to years for the full impact to be felt. Also, during Biden’s administration many birds were culled due to flu and many cattle were culled due to drought in the Midwest. Those are two reasons we are seeing it manifested heavily in beef prices and in egg prices (until Trump sourced more eggs). Additional price pressure is from the millions of extra mouths to feed that belong to illegals.
Both parties raise the rate of inflation because both of them spend. But there are critical differences. Spending on welfare, SNAP, charitable assistance, Medicaid and wars are sunk costs, they do not improve the long-term economic situation of the country on the world stage. Spending on factories, robots, inventions, engineering, production are costs that improve the country’s ability to compete globally. Also some not all farm products and farm improvements. Some infrastructure improvements are also sunk costs, but others also improve the country’s ability to compete – roads, rails, ports, airports, electrical grid and power plants.
Once a country and its currency has been abused (devalued) to the extent that the US$ has been there are NO easy off ramps – it ends in depression or hyperinflation and destroys the currency.
This is why the movement towards greater self sufficiency – including homesteads, farms, victory gardens and other practices which enabled my grandparents to survive the great depression – has grown so much. At least stockpile dry and canned goods to last a few months, cheap stuff is fine, survival is about eating long enough to shop another day or month. Prepping should be sufficient to get through enough weeks or months to give you time to get the lay of the land after a disaster of any type, so, you can figure out your next best move.

Every time I watch one of these, I appreciate that we have THE MOST MEDIA ACCESSIBLE PRESIDENT IN HISTORY, and am amazed that he goes from one subject to the next without missing a beat. Joe Biden could not have handled even one of these in a thousand years, which is why they hid him away, and Harris would have been revealed as an even bigger buffoon and laughing stock than she already deservedly is.
