Macron looked dead. No smirk, no smile, not his typical jocular self. I couldn’t tell if it was seething anger or what. Maybe he was super irritated about being made to sit in the hallway like a schoolboy.

. As I wrote today, Zelenskyy has nothing but a devastated country. Europe has no weapons, no money, and no armies. The lack of money is the key element in these negotiations because Trump is not only done funding the war, but Europe is getting a bill COD for American weapons to send on to Zelenskyy.
Their countries’ finances are in the gutter.
Where oh where do they find all that dosh needed to pay for their NATO commitments, tariffs, free money for all those “new residents” who are bleeding their taxpayers dry (wasn’t the purpose of opening their borders to cultures antithetical to Western Christian civilization that their social safety nets were collapsing because their own citizens weren’t producing fast enough to keep it solvent??) ….and pay for the continuation of this monstrous war??

(The UK in particular is set to crucify their taxpayers again, but that still won’t be enough. So they are looking for other ways to boost their coffers. Starmer and his Chancellor, the inept Rachel from Accounts, have decided to assess 4Chan with daily penaltes in the thousands upon thousands of pounds for daring to ignore their draconian censorship laws. I doubt that will go anywhere per SoS Rubio and President Trump…that’s how desperate they are.)
Just a wild guess, but I bet Macron, Starmer, Merz et al have just been handed their…er…hats by a man who has backed them into a very uncomfortable corner with no exits.
Instead of having to call them one by one, he maneuvered/invited their egos into said corner in one room all at once.

I’d say they desire a ceasefire.
I’ve not heard their comments on ceasefire as a demand.
With all of the efforts,
might as well go for a peace agreement, if possible. : )
( a ceasefire essentially allows opponents time to build up resource$$$,
and then blame the other party, if / when a firecracker goes off… and a snowball effect begins…)
In about 7 months there have been 5 peace agreements signed amongst other countries -and battles stopped. (and the temporary ceasefires were skipped – for good reason(s).).

I had a very good meeting with distinguished guests, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, of Ukraine, President Emmanuel Macron, of France, President Alexander Stubb, of Finland, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, of Italy, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, of the United Kingdom, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Friedrich Merz, President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, in the White House, which ended in a further meeting in the Oval Office.
During the meeting we discussed Security Guarantees for Ukraine, which Guarantees would be provided by the various European Countries, with a coordination with the United States of America.
Everyone is very happy about the possibility of PEACE for Russia/Ukraine.
At the conclusion of the meetings, I called President Putin, and began the arrangements for a meeting, at a location to be determined, between President Putin and President Zelenskyy.
After that meeting takes place, we will have a Trilat, which would be the two Presidents, plus myself.
Again, this was a very good, early step for a War that has been going on for almost four years.
Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, are coordinating with Russia and Ukraine.
