Although some scenes in Europe look apocalyptic and suggest the Left are seizing control the opposite is happening. They’re rioting because their handlers know they’ve lost and so have sent them out onto the streets to create the impression of strength in the hope that their inevitable fate can be averted.

Revolutionary socialists are always a minority of a population, but they’re the first to grasp the importance of communications technology, allied with education, way before the rest of the population. This then allows them to manipulate perceptions that their ideology is not the fringe view, but mainstream, and the only reason that it has not been enacted is the evil repressive forces who stop it.

The middle class ‘intellectuals’ who lead the movement will glom onto any grievance, any division any disaffected minority any worthy cause and subvert it to their aim of gaining power the easy way. See revolution as the ultimate life-hack, where the mediocre suddenly have the opportunity of achieving wealth and power, way beyond their limited resources or abilities.

There’s a problem though, the action of instigating a revolution has to be rapid, decisive and disorientating, so that it’s opponent’s quickly loose control and then the majority of the population are left with the impression that the illusion of strength is a reality. In essence the country has been mugged, using tactics well known to criminals targeting large groups of people, exploiting basic human psychology and the residue born of an easy living.

The actions in Europe are different, they are born of a desperation that they are steadily losing the influence they used to have in Europe, possibly the world. The leaders who protected and enabled these movements to survive, prosper, then grow are heading for the exit doors, the media shield is far weaker and their opponents getting stronger.

In a few weeks time: Spain’s socialist PM is going to get booted out, Le Pen will now win in France (the collapse of the Limoge town hall will be the only image she really needs in her campaign literature, though she could choose from thousands of devastating images), the AfD are on the rise in Germany, the Scandi-countries are raising the drawbridge and the US is an example of what can be done to reverse mass migration, with the next census condemning the DSA led Democrat Party to electoral extinction.

Around the world the Left’s doctrines are being rejected, even as education establishments desperately try to pump out the next generation of revolutionary drones, but they are too little, too late, or reject the ideological brainwashing they are subjected to. The MSM that the left wielded, after institutional capture, is massively weakened in its ability to influence events, ironically out-manoeuvred by conservatives, who’ve seized on its ability to cut through the official socialist narratives.

The solution to turn to radical Islam and ride its 7th century hatred of modernity and anti-semitism has spectacularly backfired, with the creeping cult now increasingly exposed, well short of the numbers needed to allow any chance of victory. Again, the Islamic playbook is identical to those of the revolutionaries, when they stage events and go on media channels claiming victory is close at hand. No it isn’t, far from it, their belligerent, immature, thugishness has made sure the next wave of European leaders are far more active in removing this imported blight from their countries.

So, what’s left? An army of disparate cultures, motives and methods, unified by an inculcated hatred of the West, fuelled by a self-loathing of their repeated failure’s, primed for power, is now unleashed to wander around Europe, like a medieval mercenary company, torching things. There’s no decisive shock action, no storming of centres of power, simply looting luxury items and trying to sell them online, and burning, defacing and damaging some historic buildings in a part of the world that has had to often rebuild itself due to devastating wars.

So we have Slotkin mouthing off, and DSA plots to plunge the Republic into a civil insurgency, but in reality this increasingly hysterical narrative will be seen for what it really is, an attempt by the people who created this monster, to stop it turning on them for betraying it. The best thing they could have done is let Trump win in 2020 and slay their ideological monster, instead they’ve all but guaranteed he’ll take them down along with it.

Standard Time begins this year on November 1. Except for Arizona and Hawaii, states that did not opt into Daylight Savings Time, all other states will set back their clocks by an hour. Fall back, Spring ahead.

Each year I write a blog post calling for the abolition of Daylight Savings Time. It is the prime example of a cost-free policy that does nothing, so Congress can be seen not doing something. It seems this year there have been some murmurings calling for elimination of Standard Time, to keep Daylight Savings Time year ’round. Well, which came first? Standard Time came before Daylight Savings Time, so eliminate the latter.

The reason we can’t have Daylight Savings Time all year is because we can’t have children getting on the school bus in the dark in winter. So, I rise to keep Standard Time and leave the clocks alone.
