Together with cabinet members from Commerce, the EPA and Energy, President Trump signed two executive orders today and holds yet another lengthy impromptu press conference.
The first XO was an order to remove federal COVID-19 mandates in education. No more COVID vaccines are federally mandated for school attendance. The second XO is targeting the energy sector to unleash American energy independence [SEE HERE]. The Energy XO encompasses the revitalization of energy infrastructure and creating access to federal energy resources.
Additionally, keeping with a new process of holding impromptu press availabilities, President Trump took several questions from the media about ongoing current events including the meetings taking place in Europe around the Russia -v- Ukraine conflict. WATCH:
.
The press availability allows President Trump to speak directly to events as they unfold. It is remarkable transparency that cuts through the ability of the media to frame current issues. A very smart communication strategy.

Said before, I hope the President also restarts his “LIVE” Oval Office conferences with Congress…with the media in attendance.
Given how some “Republicans” are now acting like long lost relatives stepping up to the Prayer Wheel to join President Trump … it would be interesting to have a repeat of his 2018 14-Point immigration reform Meeting as well as a live Tax Relief meeting…for starters.
Yep, if anyone didn’t notice, the quisling shepherd McC0nnell is fading fast, and his sheep seem to be scattering like rinos from a sinking ship. I still trust them as I trust a venomous serpent though.
Pretty sure that his aides, maybe also his wife, have been running a McConnell “robot” for some time now, using the same techniques as they did for the Biden robot.
Aging gracefully is a tough gig to pull. For bitter, evil persons, he’s dang near impossible.
The Biden Syndrome … McConnell is so far gone that the strings are now directly connected to the corpse and instead of via his bank accounts.
I don’t trust them either but its their votes in Congress that count … and so far so good … and they are even saying the right stuff to the media (go figure) for the time being.
If this keeps up long enough the rats know they cannot go back because they are dead meat .. ask Mayor Adams.
Plus, I still suspect these “new found friends” know the reason for DoJ slow roll on referrals as well as the lack of names being made public as results of DOGE investigations … before the courts stopped DOGE lists with names were found.
I saw a video on you tube of him in a wheelchair being wheeled to suv. He can’t ambulate on his own now. They had enough men in black to block the view of the hoist in the suv but it was obvious. He looked just as bad as Feinstein in the wheelchair. McConnell looks like a Nightmare Before Christmas characters now.
Yep. Bidan was actually in better shape at the end the Mitch is today. Too much cocaine and CCP money has done him in.
Mcconnel last of mohickens in senate.
He heap big proud scum in a downward spiral like biden his trading partner.
I remember when diesel cost less than gas, let’s get diesel down !
MAGA engines need it 💪
Yep … The price of diesel and maintenance related lubricants as well as oils are major inflation drivers.
Oh yeah. The vast majority of the people have no idea how much the price of diesel impacts the cost of transporting goods. I wish this was taught in general education. If nothing else, the concept that energy, and its production are necessary to maintain modern human life. And the ways that it can be done realistically and responsibly. Unfortunately, many, many people think that their electricity “just exists” and that their meat and produce just “appear” in the grocery store.
Young people should be taught about the real energy costs of moving things from one place to the next. If we were a sane society, we would be learning about and teaching the advances in nuclear technology. If we want to keep going forward, eventually nuclear will be the only way, realistically, in the long term, unless we develop some sort of technology that seems like magic to our current knowledge. However, we need to keep up the “drill, baby, drill” until oil can be replaced with nuclear tech. Leftists cannot understand that one can’t simply “will” a transition from a (sort-of-debatably) limited resource base to a (virtually) unlimited one.
Tesla had something to say about near magic availability of universal power.
Nuclear and fusion are where it will be at, in time, and they need to be responsibly and consistently pursued and advanced.
I’m still jazzed by General Fusion, as literally Steam-Punk Futurism as one could ever hope to see; I have thoughts of such a system in a long-duration human exploration spacecraft, the liquid lithium metal could make a pretty nice radiation shield..
HB11 is pretty danged awesome too, with the potential to harvest electricity from fusion without any heat exchange system at all; I always thought this would be ideal for my airship castle, producing its own power and its own helium to boot.
Wonderful dreams! Do you have any drawings of your airship castle? I’m trying to imagine it. 😄
I’m a bit of a mad inventor and conceptualist, I see far more than I have means to create, even in the form of art, then I have this little Treehouse obsession to deal with too . . . 😉
They’re all in my head, and yes, such appear in my dreams too.
Most of my dreams are fixing airplanes and spacecraft and saving the world; but I have more toys in my head than Santa’s workshop it seems sometimes.
👍🏻😎
Watch “Sky Pilot and the World of Tomorrow”
Cool movie.
Yep and to think one of the early Apollo Moon Missions actually used a man portable NUCLEAR Energy source on the surface of the moon 50+ years ago…and the nuclear submarine, USS Nautilus (SSN-571), was commission 71 years ago in 1954.
It is really astounding that it takes Elon Musk to now propose we do more.
There should be a thorium reactor in every garage.
Outstanding comment. Thank you. Decentralize the grid. Eliminate the threat of EMPs. Reserve fossil fuels for internal combustion engines. Your suggestion would bring the “too cheap to meter” concept to fruition.
“Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow”

You mentioned steam punk so that movie and Disney’s “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” come to mind.
I grew up reading Jules Verne.
I love anything steam punk or Art Deco. Love Art Deco locomotives, ocean liners, cars, furniture, architecture etc.
That was an era of beautiful artistic timeless designs.
I’m keenly aware of how much goods are shipped by truck.
My stepfather was a commercial truck driver for many years. It was a challenging job to drive such a vehicle safely in all kinds of road and traffic conditions.
This.
Energy is and was free the Old World buildings Cathedrals were not Churches they pulled power from the neon level of the Ether, charged the living waters and bridge magnetrons increased the power in the canals!

Not sure its even taught any more but in the High School Economics classes I took 50+ years, we actually wrote cost proposals as a group exercise in class.
I even recall in high school our economics teacher drawing pictures on the CHALK BOARD that looked allot like Sundances Supply Chain Pictures.
The Systems Engineer Courses, I took, included cost proposals and cost based design case studies for combat vehicles.
Don’t know what they teach today.
Not much. It’s very sad. That’s why they fall for so much.
Visited my sister in a nursing home yesterday. She’s a retired teacher. Hates Trump and Vance, thinks they are evil. She watches CCN for her news. She totally unaware Trump is doing away with the Department of Education. I told her our schools are 40th and in last place in education proficiency testing but 1st in cost of education per pupil. She thinks the tests must be tricks or fake.
Hard core democrat and will likely go to her grave as such. But I keep trying every visit and I do see some signs of progress so I keep trying. Much thanks to Sundance and Treepers for much of my ammunition.
I listened to a guy tell me elon did a nazi salute and had a swastaca tatoo on his chest.
The he started talking just like a parrot again about how bad Trump was.
I just ket him tslk for about 5 min and was able to switch the subject.
I got him talking about himself and he forgot elon and trump.
Obvious cnn msnbc junkey.
This is what propaganda lies do to people.
Help them live in denial of the truth.
I knew it would be a waste of time to speak truth to him.
It was like the cnn lie stuff was a drug in control of his mind.
Hopeless no.
Hapless yes.
SMRs(Small Modular Nuclear Reactors) are the future. The only reason it takes forever to build a nuclear power plant is the litigation.
All of the coal fired power plants that FJB shut down are still perfectly operable.
Instead of the coal fired boiler the size of a 20 story building, just set a SMR down next to it and send the steam back to the turbines. These reactors are similar to the reactors in our ships and submarines. They can be built quickly as they are a modular design that can be built as if on an assembly line.
We need to reenergize the shut down coal plants and send that power back into the grid.
Use an molten salt reactor and the excess process heat could turn the coal into gasoline and diesel.
I read that NuCor’s 6 module SMR is being installed somewhere in Utah. Not expected to be operational until 2030. Yikes. Secretary Wright needs to get it to us much sooner. We build nclear powerplants for carriers (140+ megawatts) and subs in less time than that. I’m guessing that it took NuCor many years between the working prototype to its first production models.
It makes no sense. It’s less refined. How does it cost more?
Taxes.. that how.. almost double the gasoline tax in many states.. All governments collect more money per gallon of gas/diesel in taxes than the actual refiners and suppliers make.. Next time you hear about the evil money grubbing gas companies and their max .08 per gallon profit think about the .25 cents per gallon tax plus state taxes..
Didn’t realize it was THAT much but I knew it was artificial. I drive a diesel pick up and mumble under my breath about our government each time I fill up!
Probably something to do with requiring diesel a few years back to have an ultra low Sulphur content for highway use.
Yup. ULSD is the main cause of increase in Diesel Fuel price. It requires more refining to get the sulfur out so cost is more.
USLD was required in 2006. Fed tax on fuels has not been raised since 1993
It follows where US refineries are optimized for refining heavier, more sour crude oil. Desulphurization is not free. Then there’s marginal gains at significantly more cost like with those new regulations going into effect in 2006.
Economics, there’s always a tradeoff.
Clinton
My first diesel Ford van was NOT a PowerStroke but a naturally aspirated International 7.3 L in a 1993 Econoline. It seemed like the price of diesel skyrocketed the first year I owned it which was in the early 2000s? I bought the diesel for low maintenance and the lower price of diesel fuel made my choice practical. When diesel became more expensive than gasoline, the higher price for diesel parts and utilizing diesel mechanics on occasion wiped out my cost savings. I did get over 20 mpg on a few tank loads with all highway driving.
I buy a vehicle that obtained better mpg so the government taxes my savings away. Why bother?
My second and last diesel was a PowerStroke which taught me to stay away from anything turbocharged.
“The press availability allows President Trump to speak directly to events as they unfold. It is remarkable transparency that cuts through the ability of the media to frame current issues. A very smart communication strategy.”
The truth, when told transparently, travels half way around the world before the liar can get his pants on.
Such a style is in complete contrast to the phoniness of the last four years and of the MAObama years.
Let those with eyes see, and those with ears hear, and those with open minds understand!
But we know that some will remain blind, deaf, and stultified!
Indeed, but the MarxMerdia is losing it’s mind as it realizes that Americans cannot help but be awakened by the obvious screaming conflict between their dooming and America’s blooming!!
Biden couldn’t even remember the names of the people standing behind him. He couldn’t answer a question with any depth of knowledge about a single subject while Trump is informed and intelligent on all the issues. The contrast is sooo stark as you say!
An poopee pants was not beyond stooping on stage an grinning.🦨😳
He is an absolute machine! Love it!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Trump Time is Best Time!!
Feel the Power!!
Energy for Everyone!!
💥 💥 💥
Preemptively stop any bird flu nonsense!
Drill baby Drill.
This is what we voted for.
Energy to rebuild America!
Problem is with Drill Baby Drill is the price of oil.
If it falls lower than$ 65. 00 – $70.00 per barrel. US oil is unprofitable. If we flood the market with oil, the price will go down. Oil companies will go bankrupt. Which really puts the hurt on “Drill Baby Drill”.
Also attempts to control the price of oil by changing our production will really piss off OPEC+. They would retaliate with production adjustments of their own to counter. OPEC has a lot of power over the cost of oil because their cost per barrel is a lot less than ours.
IF ……and a large if granted, ……the USA re-industrializes we’ll need vast quantities of energy and oil to produce worthwhile products to market. Look at the opposite the Germans have cut their own throat, they cannot produce without energy which is now limiting them due to chasing the green dream unicorn.
Flooding the US with cheap abundant energy will unleash a tidal wave of engineering and new manufacturing. The oil companies will not go bankrupt. It will also dramatically decrease the cost of core goods and foods transportation.
The demand for energy will rise as manufacturing rises.
Nonsense. You’ve been watching too much Landman.
In previous busts, big oil companies and smaller exploration and production (E&P) companies bought up leases and other assets for pennies on the dollar. Their cost of production is now much lower – in some cases the marginal cost of production is under $10/barrel.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) prices were mainly in the $40 – $60 per barrel range during Trump’s first term and the industry did fine.
Didn’t happen the first time and doubt seriously it happens this one. We need energy independence. I don’t give a damn about OPEC and what it does.
Drill Baby Drill Is Dead, Oil Executives Say
https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Drill-Baby-Drill-Is-Dead-Oil-Executives-Say.html
By Julianne Geiger – Feb 06, 2025, 3:30 PM CST
I don’t have any opinion about this article. I found it curious.
Oil and Gas Journal, Nashville, TN is best place for news in the oil patch and decipher for yourself. I get it in my inbox.
I don’t blame them since they get jerked around every 4 -8 years by a different administration, stopping and starting oil pipelines, where they can and can’t drill, etc.
Those oil executives are somewhat confused. President Trump is “The Decider” on “Drill Baby Drill.”
Perhaps those executives didn’t get the memo.
Some law needs to made that extends beyond what an Executive Order can do. Wiley Coyote (above) is right. You can’t have an entire industry, that is a large part of our National Security, being jerked around every time there is a new president and administration. Energy is more important than the use of paper or plastic straws.
I’m not criticizing you. I hope the adults who are in charge now can figure out how to stabilize our energy policy and production.
MAGA OVERLOAD
.
These Oval Office signing conferences are just brilliant. Transparency with even agency heads reporting in real time. Better than second-hand pressroom briefings, Congressional reporting, after-the-fact pressers of any kind, even explanatory “fireside chats”. Trump is the man!
.
He is the greatest of all time! We have been blessed America. After they stole 2020 he could’ve said the hell with it, lived the rest of his life in splendor and enjoyed himself but he fought back and won, he amazes me.
My son who had said he was going to vote for RFK, said today that what he liked most about Trump was that “it was so apparent that Trump truly loves America. Had never heard my son say anything like that before. I was pleased.
Totally agree OC! The level of expert information provided during these signings is a great repellent/antidote to doomer narratives from the outset of implementation. Love this strategy!
Body language is different with each speaker
Clean Coal!
Great for Former Feds needing to Learn to Coal!!
No reason that we cannot also build our own version of supercritical coal plants for greater efficiency.
I am an absolute fan of the All Of The Above energy strategy, including the fantastic technological possibilities that our damned dirty Derps seem to hate so much.
So long as that all of the above option includes no solar and wind power for the main grid.
Individuals should be free to purchase whatever for personal use so long as I’m not subsidizing it.
Absolutely.
All Of The Above viable non-scam non-chinese-wealth-transfer-mechanism genuine energy options.
Agreed!
“supercritical coal plants…” I love it! This is the way to counter the Marxists attempts to warp and twist terminology!
To be fair, the supercritical part refers to the steam side of the thermal plant. This is newish technology in the last decade.
Without getting to far into the weeds, it would have a higher thermodynamic efficiency. Ie, more generated electricity for whatever you used for fuel compared to older designs.
I was surprised to hear Trump emphasize electricity for energy (AI/Cars) as much as he did starting around 16:20.
JD Vance and Elon Musk must be thrilled for the future after Trump leaves.
Have noticed over the past few Trump Pressers, when he calls on Brian Glenn, formerly over at RSBN, that Brian asks the best questions, questions that people actually want to know the answers to, topics that everyday Americans are interested in and none of the gotcha questions and never in the pushy manner the regular press (sadly usually the women reporters) insists on.
Nice to see new media reporter stars beginning to emerge, completely done with the past way the media was playing.
Besides working on the price of automotive diesel fuel, the President needs to have a long look at the costs and regulations for Marine Diesel … used by huge portions of existing merchant fleets that make up the international oceangoing fuel and goods shipment pipelines.
When are they going to drop the hammer on the global warming zealots?
Start with the US Geological Survey, which is hopelessly compromised.
Move over to NOAA and the other agencies.
Thank you for mentioning the US Geological Survey. I used to respect their work. Now it is just complete junk. Is their a real
Scientist out there? I can’t find anything on the “new global climate change propaganda site” either. So disappointed in what should be a way to rebuke the validity of “clmate Science”.
Hope they ditch windmills off the coasts of California, Oregon and Washington state.
A New Culture of Life.
The Climate Scam is an anti-human anti-life civilizational-collapse mechanism that must be revealed and destroyed in full, and concentrating on the massive loss of wildlife, which President Trump has already begun, can be a powerful tool to turn away the minds of hundreds of millions of the deceived from hating on humanity and Solar Denialism.
Furthermore, I consider that the Derp State, writ Global, MUST be destroyed!!
https://pacmar.com/article/west-coast-offshore-wind-projects-in-the-works/
And use Martha’s Vineyard as a national scrap yard.
President Trump despises windmills and so do I. Also acres of solar is just as awful.
It’s great to see President Trump surrounded with such capable supportive smart advisors and cabinet members. So different than last time.
President Trump is an amazing man! A truly amazing man!
I like thedocco’s comment about restarting live Oval Office conferences with congress (with R/D Congressional leadership). As Sundance stated, it appears Trump’s strategy is to keep everything as open and transparent as possible. So, imagine him in the same room with Johnson, Jeffries, Thune, and Shumer discussing his upcoming tax plan or whatever. Add in all media present. The Dems/Media can’t change the narrative of what was specifically discusses because it is all on camera for America to watch. Absolutely BRILLIANT!
The first XO was an order to remove federal COVID-19 mandates in education.
Not even REMOTELY enough. To keep the natives who notice this from getting restless:
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2025/02/14/february-14th-2025-presidential-politics-trump-administration-day-26/comment-page-2/#comment-11562400
Does this mean that gas prices will finally start to drop, like they did when DJT was elected in 2016?
That would certainly go a long way towards stimulating our economy and rolling back inflation!
I had no idea that mRNA injections were still being federally mandated in public schools. That is SICK. And parents went along with it?
How many injections were
administered to these students before President Trump removed that federal program? That stolen 2020 election obviously has ramifications far into the future.
I agree with Hellary. They will “all hang by nooses” for crimes against humanity.
COVID and the COVID shots were absolutely genocidal tools developed by the CIA, USAID and mass murder Fauci. The facts are there in the death numbers, actual cause of deaths and spiking cancer and heart disease numbers since the shots were forced on the world. Soon the truth will be too loud to ignore, the globalist cabal needs to be punished severely for this.
Drill baby drill! Oh ya.😂
