In the nation of Moldova, the left bank of the Dniester (Nistru) River is home to 360,000 citizens in the Russia-controlled region of Transnistria. To the right side of the dividing line made by the Dniester is the western/EU allied side of Moldova.
The Russian energy company, Gazprom, provides gas to Transnistria through Ukraine. The gas is subsidized by Russia, so the Russian-allied citizens of Transnistria do not pay market prices; in fact, the gas is provided free. However, the gas into Transnistria is also used to power the Moldavskaya GRES power plant, which generates electricity for both banks of the Dniester. In essence, the “free” Russian gas is provided to both the pro-Russia and anti-Russia elements in the region.
The contract for the transit of Russian gas into Transnistria through Ukraine’s territory expires on January 1, 2025. Despite the war between Russia and Ukraine, gas transit and the contract signed in 2019 have continued. However, Ukraine under Zelenskyy has repeatedly said they do not plan to extend the gas transit agreement with Gazprom. This is a way for Zelenskyy, technically NATO, to create anxiety and crisis in the region.
The western aligned government of Moldova have been demanding that Russia withdraw all military and influence from the Transnistria region, meanwhile the Transnistria local governing officials are requesting Moscow to keep the flow of Russian gas ongoing. Observers have noted, “It looks stupid to ask for the withdrawal of Russian troops from Transnistria and meanwhile request Russia to continue to give free gas to the region.”
The citizens of Transnistria are pawns in the political schemes. Zelenskyy (Ukraine) is refusing to allow gas to heat their homes to come after the transit agreement ends. Ukraine, together with NATO, want Russians out of Transnistria. The looming energy crisis has created a state of emergency that the west, together with the Moldavian government intends to exploit.
It is not accidental that the EU/NATO/US State Dept/CIA are using the flashpoints of Georgia and Moldova to create conflict against Russia (check the map).
EUROPE – Moldova enacted a state of emergency, as the country gears up for an energy crisis at the start of 2025 following the end of Ukraine’s obligations to transport Russian gas through its territory.
Moldova, and especially the country’s breakaway region of Transnistria, will be hit the hardest following the end of the decades-long agreement.
Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that the country has enough gas, bought on the international market, to keep the right bank of the Dniester (Nistru) River warm throughout the winter ahead.
But, he added, some360,000 citizens on the left bank of the river, in the Russia-controlled region of Transnistria, “are still dependent on one source of import — Gazprom.”
The leader of the Russian-controlled Transnistria declared a state of economic emergency on Dec. 6. Heaters, as well as basic goods like rice, grains, matches, salt and so on, have disappeared from shops, hoarded by the local population in anticipation of the crisis ahead.
Following decades of relying on free Russian gas, the Moscow-controlled region will now need to pay market prices, lowered by energy bill relief schemes provided by the Moldovan government. (read more)
It’s almost a guarantee at this point the CIA and U.S. State Dept. have ongoing strategic operations in control of Moldova. Energy market prices will be a lot higher than what eastern Moldovans pay now. There is going to be unrest and political friction created by this crisis as the west says, “apparently, independence has a several costs.”
White House FEBRUARY, 2023 – President Joseph R. Biden Jr. met today with Moldovan President Maia Sandu in Warsaw. President Biden reaffirmed strong U.S. support for Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He highlighted ongoing US assistance to help Moldova strengthen its political and economic resilience, including its democratic reform agenda and energy security, and to address the effects of Russia’s war against Ukraine. Moldovan President Maia Sandu
For more than two years we have been saying to keep an eye on Moldova in the background. On November 2, 2024, Moldova held their national election, and while the actual number of people living in Moldova voted for the anti-war position, once the overseas ballots were added the results changed. The nationalists became the minority and the pro-war/pro-EU globalists declared victory.
This may seem like a relatively ‘over there’ and small issue. However, the people who control Joe Biden, the U.S. State Dept and the CIA have been positioning themselves in/around Moldova for several years now.
Now that Georgia has voted to reject the EU and anti-Russia efforts, watch out for Moldova to become the spark that leads to escalated conflict with Russia.
Moldova has a significant population of pro-Russia citizens in the east, which makes the internal domestic dynamic a little strenuous to manage. It is very similar to Ukraine in that regard. It is much smaller than Ukraine, but similar inside the national political dynamic. Additionally, the geopolitical dynamic that is unfolding with the use of Moldova is identical to how the U.S/NATO exploited Ukraine.
It was the Moldovan ex-pat community, living outside Moldova, that overwhelmingly decided the fate of this small nation that borders Ukraine.
The people living in Moldova are majority aligned with Russia. However, the people voting in the election from outside Moldova changed the dynamic of the election. This reality creates a major source of angst for Russia and Vladimir Putin. This dynamic also creates the point on the stick the EU/USA and CIA will use to poke the bear.
Watch closely.
When the U.S. activates NGOs in European countries (Moldova, Hungary, Georgia) the media call it “spreading democracy.” However, when the people who live in the country organically rise up in the opposite direction against the government outcomes from the NGO pressure, the media call it “Russian interference.”

Yesterday, I listened to Alex Christoforou’s daily walking narrative, and he delves into this situation, which reminded me of Sundance’s advice ‘ Watch Moldolva’:
https://rumble.com/v626i7b-fico-meets-putin.-moldova-second-front.-rutte-stop-poking-the-pirate.-trump.html?e9s=src_v1_ucp
In today’s podcast, Alex mentioned that “7 Moldovans” and security showed up for Maia Sandu’s inauguration: a groundswell of support.
“When the U.S. activates NGOs in European countries (Moldova, Hungary, Georgia) the media call it “spreading democracy.” However, when the people who live in the country organically rise up in the opposite direction against the government outcomes from the NGO pressure, the media call it “Russian interference.”
A+
They’re “spreading” something alright….it sure as heck ain’t democracy…
Is this really just the natural state of “democracy”? Germany in the 30s was a democracy. Yet it lead to the greatest bloodletting of humanity in all of history.
It appears that Democracy, like capitalism, can be a terrible thing.
NGOs should be renamed as they are ultimately government funded organizations.
And better, banned.

Nasty Geopolitical Operators
Thank you, Sundance!
Praying for the people of Russia and the fair people of Moldova who are not part of the scheming to create more war tension, bless them abundantly and give them some kind of miracle.
Someone should get this analysis to President Trump.
This whole CIA-led EU-globalist/NATO inclination to poke the Russian bear seems to me like trying to play chess with dominoes…instead of moving pieces you knock them all down. I don’t understand why the West wants to widen a war it is clearly losing. International arm dealers have known from the beginning that Russia would win the war in Ukraine because the US and EU don’t have the capacity to rearm Zelinsky’s conscripts with munitions and medium range missiles.
Not to mention, the people of western Europe are reliant on Russian natural gas and their economies are shrinking from huge price increases in the petroleum-based products on which their industries are dependent.
If there is an end game to all this war-mongering beyond greater profits for the military-industrial complex, I fail to see it! And if there isn’t, if this massive increase in human suffering we’ve seen since Trump left the White House is purely mercenary, just a means to the end of the rich getting richer, then decent people will have a hard time wrapping their minds around the level of depravity of the globalists.
It’s part of a centuries old plan to balkanise Russia into multiple states and steal its mineral wealth. Crimean War was one of the first initiatives from the people ruling Britain at that time, when the British Empire passed control t the US post WWII the same emnity continued because the ruling classes in Washington have always had their foreign strategies shaped by London. Americans don’t want to hear it but it’s true. I’m not saying London controls D.C. I’m saying London influences the foreign policy philosophies held by the movers and shakers in the ruling elites of both nations. There’s an argument ro be made that both WWI and WWII were fought in part to prevent Russia and Germany ever uniting, because London knew that if Germany engineering and industrial muscle ever combined with Russian resources it would represent a mortal threat to the British Empire. This could have been a motivating factor for the UKUSA taking out the Nordstream pipeline, which has destroyed German industry because most of its industry depended on cheap Russian gas and without German industry the EU economy is destroyed and becomes entirely dependent on the US .
Anyway, this is why, Blackrock et al, want Russian wealth, and they’re using Western blood and treasure to take it.
Blinken, Nuland, Zelenskyy, Kolomoisky
Yeah definitely sounds like a British plan to me.
They’re puppets. I was talking about the people who control them and the other puppets, which includes all the puppets in the US, all the puppets in the UK, all the puppets in the EU and all the puppets in Ukraine.
Strike the root.
Well Kolomoisky is a puppet of Nate Rothschild…
All of the oligarchs both Russian and Ukrainian are puppets of Rothschild et al. Where did their finance come from that made them into oligarchs in the first place? That’s why they hate Putin so much. He foiled their Plan A soon after he took power by forcing the Russian oligarchs to stay out of politics or else. Khordoskovky disobeyed and found out what the “or else” option was. But as you say, they are all puppets. Look to their bankers.
Who controls the banking industry as a whole? Where is the hub of said industry for the last two hundred years? Jews and London are the correct answers
The Whitehall Conference in 1655 is when Oliver Cromwell heard petitions to allow Jewish people back into England after they had been expelled from the country for centuries by King Edward I in 1290.
The neo-Ottoman in Turkey wants his Crimean port back. Hence the current tacit alliance between Ukraine and Turkey. Erdogan recently called on Russia to respect Ukraine’s sovereignty, a stab in the back to his Russian ally. Turkey also doesn’t give a crap about NATO, and will continue to use the migration lever on Europe as Syria and Lebanon devolve. There’s not much that the Deep State can do, they have little leverage over Erdogan and the migration issue will keep the Europeans from cooperating. On the otherhand, Turkey knows that a weak Russia is detrimental to them as they’ll have no so-called “great power” allies (China has little interest in a serious alliance due to the Uighuir issue). So the Ukranian fling is skin deep. Turkey is no friend, not by a long shot, but the irony is that NATOs eastern-most frontier might just keep them from starting WW3.
Erdogan wants his Ottoman Empire Mk II so he’ll be focusing next on Jordan and Lebanon, I would suggest. This does not bring him into direct conflict with Russian interests in that region, and he is unlikely to intrude on those because he knows how hard Russia can hit back, if he is foolish enough to try it on. The US and Israel are the ones least likely to find Erdogan’s near future exploits amusing, Russia is likely to take a watching brief from the sidelines, smirking silently as they watch the US and their “closest ally” get into more and more inconvenient fixes, one after the other.
No way will Erdogan go against Russia’s core interests. Turkey needs the electricity from a massive Russian Nuclear Power Plant under construction, that, plus gas transit fees from Turkstream and the gas from Bluestream are fundamental to Turkeis future prosperity. Oh and votes for Erdogan and his Party.
I think it will be a while before Turkey stabilises the parts of Syria it wants then it will face Israel who also wants to control if nor actually occupy its neighbours.
Dead on , it’s all about the ” Benjamins ” .
Dig up McShame from Annapolis and ship his

Good Riddance to the rinoRat Benedict Arnold of our time.
The impetus for the Crimea War was much less Anglo-centered than you’re depicting. The roots of the conflict were in a series of wars between Russia and the Ottoman Empire which took place over hundreds of years.
I also question singling out London’s biggest fear was that Germany would join forces with Russia. In fact, both France and Great Britain, the traditional powers of Western Europe, had their eyes opened over the growing power of Germany alone by the Franco-Prussian war. So I think Germany alone posed the biggest concern for both, because it threatened a centuries old balance of power with a new world order.
I think some of your several hypotheses on what driving forces caused what historical events have some truth to them but I also think the issues you’re broaching are complicated enough for other hypotheses to be valid as well.
Totally agree my friend. It’s just it’s impossible to accurately encapsulate every complexity into a single pithy coupla para’s on a blog. I try my best, but ya know… 🙂

Yes, we sure did. There’s a reason Klause Schwab shared a stage at Davos with Pfizer CEO, Abert Bouria and that reason is money…and lots of it!

Welcome to Moldova. Your papers please.
A man tried to escape from Ukraine to Moldova in a toy box
My memory is a little fuzzy. Kiev and most of the borderland called Ukraina was built by the Russian tsars and the center of the Russian Orthodox church for how many hundreds of years? Didn’t Katherine the Great conquer the Ottoman Turks in the Crimean war before America was even a country? How long has Crimea/Odessa and the lands east of the Dnieper been Russian?
The territories of Kievan Rus overlapped much of those lands. And that polity existed between the 9th and 13th centuries. Of course, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus have common heritage in Kievan Rus.
Crimea was even partly held by Kievan Rus at one point. It had changed hands numerous times. Mongol empire,
,Crimean Khanate, and Ottoman empire. All, before the Russian empire under Catherine the Great won the Crimean War against the Ottoman empire.
You’re talking about the Russo-Ottoman Empire Wars. There were lots of them and, you’re right, they’ve been going on since the 16th century, long before the Declaration of Independence.

I am so grieved to hear this news… totally unnecessary.
Neocons are pushing Putin to war.
Crap Weasels
I hope President Trump will be able to get this insanity under control fast.
I can’t wait until he is inaugurated.
Trump has a plan, but he cannot provide any tells before he gets into office.
Unfortunately, the citizens involved will have to suffer the pain until 1/20/25.
They need our prayers.
We will continue to see as worldwide escalation of conflicts until then.
It will take a lot of patience from Putin to allow these issues to progress without a high level of retaliation.
That is a very serious insult to weasels!!!
My hate for those pushing us towards a third world war knows no bounds.
I also have a building contempt for the moronic sheeple who have no idea anything like that is even being done to us, and that’s about 95% of the populations in every single Western country including my own.
I disagree with the 95%. If true Trump would have lost. Same with Georgia, and many other countries. Most of Europe is collapsing, all do to people around the globe are waking up.
Evan the people of Moldova see it, and the election stolen by the west to put a puppet in charge.
As the hippies used to say “what if they gave a war and nobody came?”
Two things: Is there a case for citizens living overseas not being allowed to vote in the country where they no longer live, obviously armed forces serving abroad would not be included in that category.
Second thing, Putin could press on in southern ukraine and take Odessa then carry on going west taking a wide swath along the coast and join up with Transnistria. That would have the added bonus of cutting ukraine off from the sea.
Then there’s this to remember…
“The Cobasna ammunition depot has been referred to as one of the largest[3] if not the largest ammunition depot in Eastern Europe[2] and contains up to 20,000 tons of Soviet-era weapons from the 14th Guards Army of the USSR and also from the former states of Czechoslovakia and East Germany. Ever since Russia’s conflict with Ukraine, there has been growing distress in Moldova for the Cobasna ammunition depot, with some believing that the weapons there could be used in a potential future military conflict. Additionally, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova determined that an explosion of the weapons located in the ammunition depot, which passed their expiry date long ago, would be equivalent to the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.[3] Concern for such an event increased following the 2020 Beirut explosion.[2]”

In 2015, George Friedman wrote a book called “Flashpoints: The Emerging Crisis in Europe” which laid out a scenario eerily similar to what’s currently happening. Whether broadcasting the foreign policy establishments long term plans or simply being a student of history, it was clear to many who had a reasonable understanding of the past that the EU wouldn’t last. And that the buffer states would become the battlegrounds.

“It was the Moldovan ex-pat community, living outside Moldova, that overwhelmingly decided the fate of this small nation that borders Ukraine.
The people living in Moldova are majority aligned with Russia. However, the people voting in the election from outside Moldova changed the dynamic of the election. ”
It was a clever ‘loaded dice’ election. They knew that the ex-pats would carry it so they made sure of a strong pro Western turnout by providing excess voting booths in all EU Moldovian embassies but minimal in Moscow. This ensured that anyone who wanted to vote had no problems voting across the EU but huge issues in Russia.
This was down to the vast majority of ex-pats being in Russia, with the very limited voting capacity in Moscow leading to huge queues and the majority of Moldovians in Russia unable to cast a vote.
The result, as Sundance writes, a narrow victory for the Western powers.
Where have we seen THAT scenario before/since?
Roughly 500k Moldovan ex-pats live in Russia. The Moldavian government provided ballots for only a quarter of those people.
Another point re Transnistra is that it contains ex Soviet arms and munitions dumps, one of which was the largest such dump in the Warsaw Pact due to its strategic location. These are protected by a 1000 strong Russian peacekeeping force.
It is a narrow strip of land perhaps 40 miles wide running down much of the Moldovia/Ukraine border. As such it is virtually indefensible. It is believed that the dumps are mined to prevent them falling into the hands of the Ukrainian Army as, although very old, there will be, based on exploiting similar dumps in Ukraine since 2014, a large amount of still usable munitions and weapons in there. Were the big one to be detonated it would be the largest explosion ever seen in Europe causing an environmental catastrophe.
Also were the Russian peacekeepers to be attacked it would draw Russia directly into a war with Moldova/Ukraine, neither of which are in NATO so no automatic Article 5 involvement.
This could be yet another ill considered move by DC that looks an attractive option to distract Russia but may just be forcing Moscow’s hand to push much further west to that border of Ukraine rather than stopping halfway at the Dneiper River.

Mail in ballots miraculously changes the election results. That sounds strangely familiar.
Mail in ballots are an anathema in this situation as they wanted to prevent a section of the electorate from voting. Postal ballots would have given the wrong result.
“Counting” the ballots would “cure” that problem.

I have no problem with people following their consciences.
But snarky “Bertha Better’n Yew” aka Joan emerges from her burrow to attack the Mother of God and Guest4ever on Christmas Eve.
Not cool. Or wise.
Ironically, Bertha’s namesake Joan of Arc respected the Virgin Mary greatly.
The Brits murdered Brave Joan.
The Brits since then have posed a threat to the peace and freedom of countless millions of people. They are behind much of the mess with Ukraine.
How about more co-operation among Christians and less ankle-biting?
Satan hates all of us.
But Satan loves our divisions.
God bless all of you and your loved ones this Christmas season and throughout 2025.
No one attacked the mother of Jesus (she is the mother of Jesus, not God) – you are a little “holier than thou” with your accusation. The Bible clearly states she is to be honored – not worshiped or prayed to. Only one Person is to be prayed to. People who read the Bible know this. Sorry this truth was offensive to you. It appears that you wish to dispute the Bible verse I quoted. You will need to take that up with the person who wrote it. And btw I am not interested in what Joan of Arc thought about anything nor the fact that she was murdered by the British. You go on to make a case against the British who posed a threat to the peace and freedom of countless millions of people. Thanks for the news flash but you are off base trying to connect what the Bible says about who people should pray to and the British being a threat to the world. Merry Christmas to you as well.
Things like Ukraine continuing to allow Russian gas to flow across Ukraine, suggest that the whole Ukraine-Russia conflict is contrived.
If it is contrived, that implies collusion between US and Russia.
If there is US-Russia collusion to contrive the conflict, this means US-Russia-China collusion.
Which means a MUCH greater Plan is executing.

Merry Christmas dear Colkitto. Many blessings to you and yours.
Did the pro-west forces use the same tacic as the Democrats? Democrats tried to use fraudulent overseas ballots to steal our election. They solicited foreign populations to register to vote in the US elections. They bragged that this effort might produce as many as 9 million votes, when only about 2.5 million US citizens live abroad.
Personally, I think that citizens who CHOOSE to live abroad, not by assignment of the US government such as the military or the State Department, should not be allowed to vote in our elections. Michigan used this ruse in their elections and our anti-Constitutional courts supported them (refused to require prior MI residency).
If there is not a residency requirement to vote in any election , what’s the use of having States? The officials and jurists should be removed and banned from serving as they are guilty of gross dereliction of duty . In other words Civil Rights violators .
These, “people” behind all this are nothing if not evil!!!

“If America’s elites continue to assert their right to intervene in the internal affairs of nations, to make them conform to a U.S. ideal of what is a good society and legitimate government, then we are headed for endless conflict. And, one day, this will inevitably result in war, as more and more nations resist America’s moral imperialism.”
The unstated poignant message about Moldovan elections, influenced by ex-pat votes, is that just like the US elections …. “it’s the ballot count stupid and NOT the number of voters.”
By limited and heavily mitigating vs NGO influence, Georgia and Hungary created too big to rig environments, which is what the US-G7-EU in a quandary with respect to those states.
This is now a deadly dangerous high stakes race to 20 January.
Its also the reason the EU tried to assassinate the leader of Slovakia last year.
I don’t see what the big deal is. All that happens is that they will have to start paying for their gas instead of getting it free from Gazprom. I care why?
In a way you make a great point but ignored the discussion of the cost vs resources issue the “Russian” Region of Moldova faces.
It would create a huge dilemma for the EU-G7 puppet Government of Moldova … if say “somebody” put up a large subsidy fund for them to buy fuel on the “open” market and the deliveries were “delayed” (blocked) by the Moldovan Government for “tax reasons” or other “delivery delay” … which would occur given the current situation.
trapper: I agree. Sometimes, it’s just business.

“Spreading democracy” is a red flag meaning anti-Russian coup/color revolution regardless of who the actual citizenry votes for. In other words, these NGOs are robbing the people of their power & their voices: the opposite of democracy.
This is quite simple to resolve.

January 20 at 12:00:01 pm eastern won’t come soon enough.
With Moldova, it’s really hard to guess which direction this goes. I can only hope for cooler heads to prevail, but these people are committed. The collective Europe’s willingness to jeopardize their own people is only superseded by their hatred of all things Russian. They have become godless, and no longer bear much fruit. A reinvigorated Russia is like an anathema to them. They see in Russia what they can never be.
Perhaps unrealistic, but would be nice to see the USA send free gas/heating energy to the Moldavite citizens who need energy RATHER than giving Zelenski/Ukraine more money, missiles and armaments. That would be money well spent!
I think a certain former and newly elected President warned them about this…..
A large part of the Moldovan ex-pats live in Romania (their neighbor) because Moldovans and Romanians speak the same language and are the same ethnic group. So when you think of Moldovan ex-pat, think they literally live in the neighboring country and go visit every so often.
I think the votes were stolen.
The situation is a little more complex though. The “nationalists” have two meanings in Moldova. There are those who want to keep independence, and many of them are Russians and Ukrainians, and there are those who want to unify with Romania. Russians and Ukrainians don’t want unification with Romania, while Moldovan-Romanians do. So they vote respectively.
Also – the ironic part is- in re to Transnistria:
Russians and Ukrainians fought side by side to split from Moldova. Ukraine aided the separatists with arms and money. Now, how karma bites back! The same happens with them in the Donbas.
The reason Transnistria is under Russian occupation is because Ukraine wanted that.
Also – Romanians in Moldova aren’t anti-Russia (most of them), but many are pro-Romanian reunification. Moldova was, after all, part of Romania.
The nuances are exploited by bad actors on both sides.
Transnistria? This is one area I missed that the US Trans Community can move to escape the tyranny of the evil Trump Regime. Along with Transylvania, Trans-Jordan, Tranistan & Tranzania!
However, I like their president! Don’t bother knockin’ if the Moldovan is rockin’!
Gee, this article sure sounds Putinistaean.
