There are a few interesting aspects about this Harris/Messenger poll [DATA HERE] that merit some discussion. First, the poll itself is a large sample size with solid cross tabs and demographics. This is not a media poll.
Second, the sample of independent voters is slightly less than norm. That means the actual reality of the Trump -vs- Biden portion of the poll is better than the result that is reflected. Independants increasingly favor Donald Trump. That said, this poll affirms previous recent polling showing that Trump is widening his lead amid all of the key demographics that matter. All good news for team Trump.
The poll, taken September 13-19 among 3,015 registered voters, found that Trump led Biden, 46%-41%. The margin of error was plus or minus 1.8 percentage points. (link)
On the Republican primary it’s not even close, and even more people are starting to wonder now why any challenger remains in the race. With a clear party frontrunner this far ahead, all of the gnat challengers are simply hurting themselves. The longer this continues the more diminished their influence.
The donors and billionaires have come to the same conclusion, as shared in a rather lengthy NBC report yesterday. It’s not the campaigns. It’s not the consultants. It’s not the candidates…. It’s the voters. The formidable scale of the MAGA base voter has just worn down the Republican Party apparatus.
[Via NBC] – […] There is no major anti-Trump super PAC or significant donor financing a push to topple him as the party’s leader, and there is concern that, at this point, spending financial or political capital to undercut Trump is a fool’s errand.
In fact, the two major outside political organizations running ads urging voters to move away from Trump have so far not lived up to the mass anti-Trump spending campaign that some in the party had hoped for.
Five months out from the primary here, the anti-Trump effort is fragmented and weakened as no other Republican presidential candidate is able to even come close to the former president in the polls, despite his legal troubles.
And it’s not just South Carolina. Nationally, the hypothetical anti-Trump cavalry within the Republican Party has yet to materialize, and GOP strategists tell NBC News that it may be too late.
Even when a conservative group does try to hit Trump, it’s often nothing more than a glancing blow and focused on concerns about his ability to beat President Joe Biden. In fact, one spot this summer from one of those groups started with a voter saying, “I love Donald Trump.” (more)
I’ll say it again, we’re living in a science fiction movie, I just don’t know if it is the second or third act.
I heard today that Kash Patel’s new book came out. “Government Gangsters”. He names names….. More on the republican side than the democrat side of the bird. Imagine that./s He said in the interview with Beck that IT can be done. President Trump can turn this around and does have a plan to clean house. It was a glimmer of hope, at least for me, listening. Deep state, puppets, etc. All of this pulling the curtain back to SHOW the corrupt stuff has been way more effective than just saying it at a rally.
He essentially said that the deep state is EVERYWHERE and everyone in gov’t is complicit. We here know this already and probably not too many libs will buy the book. I might buy it and leave it, after reading it, somewhere, like a doctor/dentist office where someone might peruse while waiting.
In other news, 3 in my little rural NC church have already gotten newest boosters. Ugh!!!
I swear to God, if I had the funds that someone like Elon Musk has, I would pay every person $50 TO STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THE VAX AS POSSIBLE!!! 🤬
so…you won’t do that unless you’re loaded then.
🥴
Sundance has pointed out repeatedly from many angles that the current system itself–the bad tree–produces the bad fruit of corruption. Fruit doesn’t make the tree, the tree makes the fruit. Hence, I’m skeptical of the whole “Just get rid of the Rinos and the GOP will be ok.” They aren’t the root problem. They are inevitable and perpetual symptoms of deeper systemic problems, e.g., the 17th Amendment (if not others), that politics is money-driven (campaign finance reform), lack of term limits, etc. Granted, unless you have the right-minded people in office to pursue systemic reform, it will never happen. So it’s a bit of a quandary. I can’t expect the GOP to ever pursue such needed reforms, given how much their corporation and profits would be affected. I only see it possibly coming from a Trump-led Maga party that breaks off from the GOP, clearly lays out such needed systemic reforms on their policy agenda, and thereby presents a clear line of demarcation for the voters between themselves and the DeceptiCon GOP on both state and federal levels. Withou such systemic reforms, without healing the tree, the same old fruit of corruption would eventually arise and hold sway with any new Maga party started.
MAGAts don’t need to have a majority party, we just need to become the voter version of The Gang of Eight like R senate used to have. We need enough voters to be kingmakers… any R would have to have our blessing and support or the R candidate is dead on arrival.
1. Citizens turn back to God.
2. Kill the Fed—TOTALLY.
For starters.
Byron Donalds was on FOX this morning saying the damn Primary is over with and everyone knows it so it’s time to move on and get everything ready to help President Trump in the General Election to take back the White House in 2024!!!
In SC and getting about 2 political flyers a week, all anti-PDJT, always with both PDJT and Biden on them. It’s from one of the GOP affiliates. They aren’t even good fire starters, like the burger king ones I get.
Steve Bannon refers to the other named campaigners for the Republican presidential nomination as Keebler elves.
He has a new one. The seven dwarves.
I’ve heard that too – I think Lou Dobbs is using it.
Dominion has their work cut out for them…
Do Republicans know how to cheat like Democrats in primaries? I mean can they make it close in Iowa and NH to make Trump seem vulnerable or the outcome in doubt? The Dems did it to Bernie although Bernie certainly didn’t have the lead like Trump. However, given everything else the Deep State has tried, surely this is in their bag of tricks.
What I’d Tell Trump If I Thought He’d Listen
BY TYLER DURDEN
TUESDAY, SEP 26, 2023 –
Authored by Frank Miele via RealClear Wire,
One of the many mantras about the 45th president of the United States, and one that proved to be correct in most regards, was “Let Trump Be Trump.” So it is with some trepidation that I now boldly suggest a few areas where Donald Trump might be well advised to, well, take some advice.
1) Let’s start with the obvious. Please, sir, don’t do interviews with NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, etc. I don’t know why it is necessary to make this plea when it should be obvious to you that none of the mainstream media outlets will play fair. But, of course, it is obvious to you. You do it for the sport, but from now on, please think of every interview with mainstream media as your third impeachment. They want to destroy you, and no matter how much fun you have jousting with them, it’s not worth the trouble.
2) Speaking of the mainstream media, don’t be baited by the Wall Street Journal and its editorial “Why Is Donald Trump Afraid to Debate?” You don’t debate because you are 50 points ahead in the polls and because you will not be treated fairly on the debate stage, not even by Fox News. Remember, it was Fox moderator Chris Wallace who protected Joe Biden when you brought up Hunter Biden’s laptop and the evidence of corruption. And the Wall Street Journal is just one more iteration of Rupert Murdoch, who would love you to appear at the Sept. 27 debate co-hosted by Fox Business. Good for ratings, bad for Trump. Here’s my advice: Don’t debate for the rest of the primary season, and don’t debate against President Biden either – unless it is a true debate without moderators to protect Biden from the facts and his doddering demeanor.
4) Name as your vice presidential running mate a fighter like yourself. You don’t need an obvious ally like Kari Lake or Matt Gaetz, but rather someone who will expand your base, not consolidate it. Your choice needs to be either a youthful minority or a woman in order to demonstrate to independents that Republicans are inclusive. That said, don’t let yourself be wooed by candidates whose only qualification is that they are a woman or minority. We’ve seen how that plays out in the current administration.
6) I’m not sure why I have to bring this up, but it’s a bad look to be stingy with your big bankroll when people who depend on you need your support. So for goodness’ sake, sir, help pay the legal bills for all your fellow political prisoners who have been indicted by malign prosecutors Jack Smith and Fani Willis. None of them would be under indictment had they not been doing everything they could to see you returned to the White House. They are willing to risk jail to fight for you; don’t make them risk bankruptcy, too. It is important that the American public knows they can count on you to be loyal to those who support you. For a billionaire like yourself, the cost will be nominal, and the goodwill you earn will be phenomenal.

I have wondered if it would be some kind of legal risk for PDJT to foot the bills for his fellow political prisoners….I am sure they would accuse him of something . Hopefully he is finding a way to help them, hard to believe he wouldn’t.
Number one. Keep doing those interviews, Mr President. Keep racking up the big wins. If Kaitlin Collins and Kristen Welker are the best they have, smacking them around is great sport and only helps the cause. Number two. Frank does okay here. Number three. (Shot). Number four. You’ve had too many shots, Frank. “Your choice needs to be either Vivek or Nikki in order to demonstrate to independents that Republicans are inclusive.” Run for your life, Mr President. Please get a serious and mean man who puts the country before anything else. Stop reaching out to libs. It’s a waste of time, no matter what Ivanka tells you. Number five. (Shot). Number six. Well I love the idea, Frank, but he can’t do that. Getting a**raped by a bunch of defense attorneys doesn’t exactly help the cause. And no, the cost will not be nominal if they can help it. Remember stop the steal.
Mark Robinson would make a great VP
He needs to be Governor of North Carolina, not vice-president. ……respectfully.
With all due respect, it’s way too late to save the country 1 state at a time.
He’s the best candidate in spades. Other than Sarah Palin, she would really energize the base.
So would Byron Donalds.
Yes but they’re both in FL so that doesn’t work…
Funny how cynical I (we) have become.
I automatically felt like this was an anti President Trump comment.
It is not the fault of the President that people were jailed.
If it wasn’t for his interview’s how would we see the strings?
I’m not sure about any of these suggestions.
Agreed. I am particularly suspicious of people suggesting Trump should pick a woman/minority for the VP slot. Frankly that is disgusting. Pick for strength to lead if necessary, the character to support the MAGA agenda and ability to act as a Trump delegate as needed.
RINO Lie No. 6: Twumpy isn’t paying our wegal bills….
Trump hosts a $100,000-per-person fundraiser to help Giuliani pay legal billshttps://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-hosts-a-100000-per-person-fundraiser-to-help-giuliani-pay-legal-bills
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-political-committee-has-spent-more-than-40-million-on-lawyers-fees-as-his-legal-peril-mounts
RINO Lie No. 1: Twumpy is talking to da press too much!
You don’t win souls by preaching to the choir. If you don’t want Trump to be touched by them deadly vipers in government, why, you should never send him to DC where he’ll be in the thick of all the vipers.
Logic is not Durden’s strong point, but he does make a really good parrot for the RINO’s, though.
RINO Lie No. 2: Don’t debate Biden! Of course the viper RINO class doesn’t want the world to see what a blathering idiot they put in charge of everything. That would be bad business for the RINO’s
RINO Lie No. 4: Pick a minority to show how You Iz nOt a Raycissis. Of course this lie comes on the tails of preaching about how Trump should ignore all the rest of the baiting. You don’t win battles where the other side gets to frame the question….duh.
One of my daily reads besides AoS.
On the first point, you are mistaken. Those interviews get him more votes as more of the public sees what is happening.
On the second point, he is well aware of this and will not debate the seven dwarves. He must debate Biden however, as regardless of who is moderating, he will win the debate and gain more votes.
On the fourth point, a fighter yes, but no on selecting a youthful minority or woman to expand the base. There are only three criteria. The candidate must be MAGA, an effective, responsible and non-fake person, and an ideal candidate for 2028 and 2032. If that happens to be a woman or a minority fine.
On point six, it is my understanding that he has gone out of the way, bigly, to help them raise funds.
The GOP also-rans are jostling for position in the event that one of the 100+ attempts by the anti-MAGA forces to disqualify Trump proves successful. A crooked NY judge ruled today that Trump and his family defrauded banks and insurers by overvaluing their properties. The MSM is celebrating, of course. I’m just worried that one of these B.S. indictments is going to stick, whereas the Biden crime family gets a free pass.
All of them will “stick” in the D.C. court, and most/all will be upheld by the D.C Circuit court of appeals. The SCOTUS will be PDJT’s last and best chance to be exonerated of the D.C. charges. JMO
Laura Ingraham tonight interviewed DeSantis, portraying him as a p”populist” who is standing in opposition to the Bush admin.
DeSantis continued the charade by staying he fought the corporatists.
He obviously meant he fought the corporatists for more money.
🎶 “I fought the Corpos and the Corpos won.” 🎶
Corpos was what Sinclair Lewis called his version of Nazis in the fascist takeover of America he described in “It Can’t Happen Here.”
Yeah, but the scary part is, look how many simpletons actually fell for it.
No more faux news for me period.
How did these multi millionaires get their money, not by predicting and backing failure.
“On the Republican primary it’s not even close, and even more people are starting to wonder now why any challenger remains in the race.”
Traditional party politics is reason for staying in the race. It’s long been tradition that someone with respectable standing in the polls during the race, and is a good earner, meaning they’ve been bringing in financial contributions to the party in the form of large donations, is going to be anointed with the VP crown in exchange for those efforts.
NC Lt Guvnah, Mark Robinson
But… we are in a decidedly New Normal…
I want to see him at 2-1 over everyone else and anything else combined. He’s getting close.
From a Doug Burgum donation request email today:
“We have qualified for the second Republican Primary Presidential Debate.
We blew past the 50,000+ donor threshold.
We reached 3% in national polls.
We’ve polled 3% in key state polls.”
Who believes this?
Who is Doug Burgum…
A guy we never heard of with a funny name.
They’re in the race because the grifter class needs it’s every 4 year injection of money.
This is a complete repudiation of the phony indictments. These court cases now only exist as a desperate attempt at disqualification that WILL FAIL. They’re now seeing that Trump’s support is so strong that he could win on a write in campaign.
I expect Trump will turn up the volume on Jack Smith, especially.
I love Trump, and think he was and will a great president. But he’s getting older by the day. In fact, if I’m not mistaken, he’s older today than he was yesterday. And tomorrow he’ll be even older still. And if my calculations are right, by the time he takes office again he would be something like 15 months older than he is now! I’m just not sure my conscience will allow me to vote for a person who just keeps getting older as we speak!
Since we all live one hour at a time, why not? The same applies to everyone else. Age is just a number. There are plenty of “young” folk who are too weak/sick/immature/whatever to do the job. President Trump can do the job.
As I said below, I should have included a “sarcasm” tag in my other comment. 😉
🥱💁♀️
Well you’re old too! 😀
I believe this is sarcasm and I found it amusing.
Yeah thanks. I really hate using the /sarc tag, it kinda ruins the “joke” you know. But… I guess there’s times I’d be better off using it anyway. 🙂
Is this tweet from VP Kamala because it sure does sound like it.
No one is even talking about Vivek lately. Forgot about him!
And that’s a very good thing.
Next we will have to deal with several well financed Independent candidates who will try to get on the ballots to hurt Trump’s chances against whoever the Demcommies choose this winter. Each of these will run endless TV commercials to tell the ignorant voters that they are Conservatives, MAGA supporters and God knows what else in order to peel off votes from PDJT.
This happens in nearly every election, but only the numerous weak minded voters ever go for it. The GOPe and the Demcommies will be supplying the TV commercial money, depending on which high dollar donor thinks they can have more of an influence on the outcome if they spend their money on the margins.
We vote MAGA and PDJT, no matter what and we have to be hard core about it from here on!
Still grasping the debate between DeSantis and Newsome. What a waste of our time and an unnecessary platform for Newsome to gain.
I think the reason they remain in the race is because numerous of them honestly believe Trump will wind up in jail by these bastard judges.
Besides leading in the republican Primary, Trump should enter (and win) the democrat primary. He and RFK could have a great discussion about the future of the country with biden looking on in a 3 way Democrat party debate.
“The formidable scale of the MAGA base voter has just worn down the Republican Party apparatus.”
There are no adequate words to describe the feeling that gives. This must be what David felt when he defeated Goliath.
