The downward spiral has reached critical mass. Following the Trump endorsement by Florida Congressman Byron Douglas [See Here], Team Meatball is triggered. Ron DeSantis has begun calling Florida Republican congressional reps, begging them not to endorse President Trump.
You can almost see the cheese arriving to complement the whine.
(Via NBC) Gov. Ron DeSantis’ political operation has started calling Republican members of the Florida congressional delegation in an effort to consolidate support after four members publicly backed Donald Trump in his 2024 presidential bid.
Sources with four of the six members contacted by DeSantis’ team shared the outreach with NBC News; each requested anonymity to confirm the calls.
As Trump continues to lead in the polls for the GOP presidential nomination, the governor is trying to stop defections in his own backyard ahead of his expected run. DeSantis currently has no endorsements from the state delegation.
The efforts by the governor’s team started after Trump picked up the backing of Rep. Byron Donalds, who has been a DeSantis ally. The earlier three endorsements were from Reps. Anna Paulina Luna, Matt Gaetz and Cory Mills, who are vocal Trump boosters and whose support wasn’t surprising.
Since Donalds came out for Trump, DeSantis’ team has called at least six members of Florida’s congressional delegation, asking that they hold off on making any endorsements in the near future. The members called by DeSantis’ team are: Reps. Aaron Bean, Vern Buchanan, Kat Cammack, Mario Diaz-Balart, Laurel Lee and Greg Steube.
Ryan Tyson, a longtime GOP pollster and mainstay in DeSantis’ political orbit, has led the effort. Tyson has initiated the calls, reaching out to schedule a later call between the member of Congress and DeSantis himself.
“There is clearly some angst from the DeSantis camp that so many members of the state’s congressional delegation are throwing their support behind Trump,” said a GOP consultant for one of the members contacted by the governor’s team. “Gaetz going with Trump is one thing, but Byron’s endorsement of the former president undoubtedly rattled some cages.” (read more)
“DeSantis currently has NO ENDORSEMENTS from the Florida delegation“…. Readers, if you are a registered voter in Florida, you know what to do. Call your congressman or congresswoman and tell them your expectation, in advance of DeSantis calling them and asking for an endorsement.
Let the GOP representatives know your expectation, while simultaneously delivering a death blow to the influence of Wall Street, multinational corporations, billionaire influence peddlers and the professional political class. They have dumped $500+ million into DeSantis… Make it worthless!
DeSantis ran to be governor of Florida. Make him live up to that expectation.
“There is only one leader at this time in our nation’s history who can seize this moment and deliver what we need – to get us back on track, provide strength and resolve, and Make America Great Again. That is why I am honored to endorse President Donald J. Trump for President in 2024, and I ask my fellow Americans to join me today.” ~ Byron Donalds
That will turn around quick with one question from RFK Jr:
“Why did you renege on your commitment to me to let me establish a vaccine safety protocol for your administration after taking $1 million from Pfizer and $100m from Big Pharma, and then put in BigPharma shill Scott Gottlieb who erased ALL safety testing mechanisms in place for vaccines and medicine?
Trump took the vaccine because he figured the pharma guys and FDA would make it safe.
Then Trump insisted on other therapeutics like Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin. Then Trump insisted that the vaccines be voluntary and was 100 percent opposed to mandating vaccines for anyone.
RFK Jr hasn’t met a vaccine he likes even though many have saved lives.
How about this question in return? Didn’t you have a serious drug problem in the past and why did your ex-wife commit suicide?
For Ron: Why did you close down a beach for Covid? Who closes down a public beach other than Chris Christie?
What vaccines saved lives exactly and where is your evidence. Are you aware that NOT a SINGLE VACCINE on the US schedule has undergone a double blind randomized PLACEBO controlled study ( which is the scientific method required to determine safety)?
Totally correct. To say vaccines saves lives is to declare that something which is entirely unknown and NOT provable is an absolute (that it saved lives). We have no proof that people who did not take any vaccine would be dead and unhealthy. It simply is not provable (but could be if they wanted to try it).
It’s like the the govt and medical community saying by taking the Covid jab keeps you from getting sicker and out of the hospital. You can’t prove that. It’s declaring something to be true for which there is no proof.
I think your first sentience can be easily challenged by RFK.
RFK will say, “then why did you tell me you needed someone to head a vaccine safety council in the first place before the inauguration? What changed your thinking in vaccine safety with a Warp Speed rollout program?”
Trump needs to get ready for this because this could break him, and I suspect he will be prepared. RFK knows he is very, very, vulnerable on this which is probably why RFK decided to run knowing he has a very, very good chance.
We were ALL lied to, including President Trump. It was impossible to believe a country would end up in the situation due to C h I n a in cooperation with this “administration”. I do not blame Trump
I agree that in the early days we were all uncertain thanks to the media/establishment lies, but Trump made way too many unforced errors.
I remember it happening live, but if you want a Pro-Trump advocate to confirm, just read Dr. Peter Navarro’s book.
Despite doing his best to defend Trump, he has to acknowledge that he (Navarro) and Dr. Atlas (briefly) were the only ones trying to end the lockdowns and promote therapeutics.
Trump seemed to be”out to lunch” while Faucci led him by the nose to the 2020 outcome the deep state wanted.
P.S. I am not anti-Trump. I appreciate his successes and think he’s a good guy, but I think he was/is unprepared to force the tough choices on congress that are needed to effectively challenge the system. Not that anyone else will be better, but we have to acknowledge his weaknesses to plan to strengthen him where needed.
I agree but RFK’s argument is going to be, you told me you wanted a Vax safety council back in 2016. Because you never did this, and went on a Warp Speed program knowing vaxes were unsafe to begin with, how do you square that many have died from this new vaccine that you supported and were pushing?
Trump needs to be more than ready because RFK is an encyclopedia on vaccines, including this new one that was “developed” under Trump.
Can I downvote this, please?
I agree that RFK, Jr will nail Trump to the cross on this. Steve Kirsch is one of the money backers behind RFK, Jr.
Steve will have all the one liners identified and they will be scathing. Trump is preparing now for this.
I imagine it will get ugly..lets not forget how BIDEN was managed…it was like the tortoise and the hair… dont get too excited so early in the game. Kennedy has to wade through BIDEN first.
They will figure out a way to do to Kennedy what they did to Sanders.
Perhaps, but perhaps not if they think RFK can knock out Trump. Trump is more dangerous to the establishment.
😁😆
1) Everyone knew Trump was running again and given that a super-majority of Republican primary voters believe the 2020 election was decided fraudulently, the nomination belongs to Trump as a matter of honor. I would not feel that the nomination should default to Trump had he been legitimately defeated, because it would be clear that competition was warranted to determine who was the right man for the job.
2) DeSantis is clearly synchronizing the conduct of his shadow campaign and announcement with the phony Manhattan witch-hunt against President Trump. This should give everyone in Conservative, Inc., great pause. In contrast with my article predicting DeSantis would not run, it is now clear my missing intelligence gap was his knowledge of Trump’s looming indictment. DeSantis formally running would confirm to me that he and his advisors had inside knowledge of these proceedings, and it doesn’t get any more “entrenched deep state bureaucracy” than that. As it stands now, it appears the Governor is testing the waters.
3) DeSantis is being promoted, funded, and readied for a potential campaign by the people who are responsible for the “America Last” Republican Party that has been prominent for three decades, including the Bushes, Karl Rove, and Paul Ryan, a raging hemorrhoid who thinks people suffering a third-world invasion, looming world war, and the collapse of the economy give a rat’s ass about tweaks to tax policy.
4) DeSantis owes his political success to Trump, and four more years to his voters. Florida law requires him to resign to run for President, and if there is anything at this point that will stop this campaign, it is that law.
Being crushed in the polls, owing four more years to voters who re-elected him in a landslide, and owing gratitude for Trump’s backing means DeSantis should repent of this shadow campaign, shed the Bushes, endorse Trump, and get himself to work in the Sunshine State.

His name is Ron DeepStatis.
If the presidential race is between Kennedy & DeSantis, I will vote for Kennedy
Oof, that’s gotta feel like a slap in the face to DeSantis. I’m laughing.
