Russian President Vladimir Putin embarrassed a visibly cognitively impaired Joe Biden today in Geneva, Switzerland. To be fair, Putin didn’t have to do much other than stand there and let the world see a mumbling fool with note cards try to remember his rehearsed lines on the international stage.
However, it was likely the international embarrassment and the frustrated feedback from his handlers; in combination with his own internal admissions of inadequacy; that triggered the inappropriate angry outburst toward the traveling press corps:

One of Biden’s ongoing issues is the press corps wants and likes ‘their girl‘ Kamala Harris more than the installed Biden. Even the ideological press corps laughs at just how hard they need to work to keep up appearances. Pre-approved journalists asking pre-scripted questions to get rehearsed mumbling responses, must get a little boring after a while…. I am fully saturated with the media and others pushing the idea that Vladimir Putin is the anti christ and our biggest enemy and someone that should absolutely terrify us.
The Cold War is over. Russia has its own internal economic and other problems and is not the menacing superpower they once were. I fail to see a shred of evidence that Russia poses an imminent threat to the us. Yes they have icbms in the silos but they are simply not going to blast those at us.
Perhaps I do not love Putin but there is no need to vilify him or Russia. It’s not 1962.
The far bigger threat as Sundance has described is our own federal government the intel agencies and all the others that have been weaponized against us (eg the irs). I am far more scared of my own government than I am of Vladimir Putin.
Trump was clearing the fog of media lies about Russia and Putin. Maybe Trump will get another chance to finish what he started. The threat of Trump working out some kind of genuinely cooperative deal with Russia was at the top of that list of many reasons why the evil bureaucracy and their congressional lapdogs worked so hard to bring Trump down.

Your assessment of the U.S./Russia post-Cold War relationship is spot on. THEY are not really a threat to us, and their own external and internal problems are absolutely terrifying. Just the territorial issue with China in the Far East alone probably cost Putin all his hair! I would bet every cent I own that Russian generals regularly have sleepless nights trying to imagine some way they might possibly have the slightest hope of defending everything from China’s western border with Altai all the way to Kamchatka. There really isn’t any conventional way to do that with any rationally conceivable amount of Russian troops and materiel. That war would go nuke almost from the first shot, and Russia STILL might not win.
I have thought for some time that America’s real enemies are those in the pay of the Communist Chinese, and that those same enemies have a deeply vested interest in keeping the Russian bogeyman alive. People are USED to that enemy, and I’m sure the Communist Chinese think it is great to keep Americans focused on that old, former threat while they steal our country right out from under our feet with “golden bullets” fired into our politicians’ bank accounts.
Incidentally, buying off other countries’ leaders with “golden bullets” is a long-used and well-tested practice of many earlier Chinese regimes. I’m sure they are laughing up their sleeves at how simple and cheap it was to buy ours off.

Just a note. Have not watch tv news for a year and a half. What strikes me is I did yesterday. Notice everything they where saying that is supposedly breaking news. The media, false elected officials and so called experts. Where talking about the same issues a year and a half ago.
