Why would Trump violate the Logan Act by visiting the border?
The Logan Act criminalizes negotiations between unauthorized US citizens and foreign governments.
PDJT isn’t negotiating with anyone in a foreign country. IMO He’s welcome to go take a look if he wants.
John Kerry was holding talks with Iran during the Trump administration. That seems like a clear violation.
If he is going to go, there cannot be any announcement ahead of time, and no pressers while he is there. He can meet with the Border Patrol, thank them for all they are doing, and then leave and release the video AFTER he is back in Florida!
