It’s my understanding that the limit only kicks in when millions are involved at the end of the day. You may want to check more on the law in your state.

I am not in CA. I teach in a small, liberal arts college in KY. We have been required to submit to draconian procedures all in the name of “an abundance of caution.” The reality behind the scenes is that all of the administrators, staff, and instructors know that it is not the student who are at risk. It is the snowflake teachers who are scared to death due to the fear porn. They are not capable of reasoning or incorporating new data.

I don’t live in Texas but I’m trying to get the same kind of movement started in Oklahoma and surrounding states. It’s obvious the elected politicians have no desire to assert themselves and stand up for our rights. Heck, they don’t even seem to recognize the powers they have.
We’ve either elected really stupid representatives, or they are too lazy to try to do a good job. Still same old, same old from my view here in Collin County, TX. Governor “Hey” Abbott is too cowardly to open up because it might upset the democrats and already biased Media. So, its masks until 2 steps inside the door, clearing the field of view of the entrance video camera, for allot of places or wear your mask if you want entrance and service.

Waiting to see how outdoor sports go, as this past Winter and Fall, the outdoor Recreational Leagues were well attended, about 50-50 masks.
Although it was very sad to watch sports in Arkansas when we visited the grand kids. 2 of my grand daughters were playing select level soccer for a nice club, this next Spring is in doubt. The clown Gov of Arkansas is KILLING youth club level sports as teams just cannot afford to pay for coaches or facilities, plus too many parents have been scared beyond belief resulting in not enough kids participating in areas that already have thin populations, like Bentonville-Rogers.
I lived in Rogers ‘09 -‘18. God’s Country. My son still lives in Rogers. Works everyday. Masks everywhere. Tons of woke types due to WM, JB Hunt, Tyson HQ all within 15 miles of each other so when we go places with no masks we get ‘the look’.
I live 60 miles north in Jasper County right outside Joplin. Mask mandates, but people are tired of it. Less than 50% compliance from my rough observations. Many restaurants still closed and most likely for good.

With masks when I first used one the experience was awful. Felt I could not breathe and got an asthma attack. My doctor gave me an exemption and told me not to wear a mask. If people are in my situation they need to realise that exemptions are available.

We are a baseball family living in the southeast and through summer ball and now heading into school ball you would never know covid ever existed here. We played teams from all over the country last summer. Baseball is its own little subculture.

Oh my.. we’re all gonna die..
I live on the west coast, but spent the last six weeks living in the lower east side on Manhattan. I’d been there several times before, visiting daughter and her family, but never anything close to this length of a stay. My wife and I had our own third floor walk-up rental across the street from our daughter’s place. I took a three to four hour walk every day, in a lot of different neighborhoods. My primary observation was of a depressed city, depressed people, no life buzz the city usually has. Hard to use percentages, but many of the small shops along the street fronts are shuttered. No music, fewer people on the streets, everyone masked and eyes down. The city is gloomy.
On a personal note, my daughter, her husband, and their ten month old son, all came down with Covid while I was there. I spent a lot of time the previous week quite close with them, and with the baby I was pretty up close to his face, doing normal stuff, feeding, reading, roll around on the floor playing games with him. I have been Covid tested three times since, negative each time. I have never felt as if I had it. My wife spent even more time with the kids, and she has tested negative three times since the kids were diagnosed. We have both tested negative for antibodies.
The kids are fine. Early thirties, fit, healthy, all of that.
My wife and I are in our, well, I am in my late 60s.
I guess the wife and I are immune.
I hear you!! Our daughter & partner live in lower Manhattan. Its been a ghost town for almost a year. No Broadway shows, concerts, restaurants they see closing all the time. When they walk outside people get in a frenzy if they are not wearing face diapers. So they mostly wear the masks of compliance so as not to be yelled at by these crazy idiots. Restaurants – dining in 30 degrees outside in a plastic tent not their cup of tea. Utter nonsense. At least they had a 2 week respite here in Delaware around Christmas. But Delaware is no better with the lockdowns, mask compliance, schools partly “open” parents madder than ever. And school sports allowed but the kids have to wear masks while playing! Child abuse I say! Ok that said me & hub are 70’s but have not bought into the covid fear porn driven daily by the mainstream media. Yes it seems to be a bad contagious virus, but I have to live my best life – as our Sundance says. I cannot & will not live in fear for the rest of my life. I pray daily Dear Lord please deliver us from all the evil around us & by some chance expose the plandemic of the fake “cases” & deaths from covid( facts are out there not all dead from covid). I just wish i had more courage to confront (nicely) people walking to their cars with masks after shopping & do not take them off till safely in the car. Hello! My own personal, subjective opinion is that the virus has not been isolated/ proven to exist/ whatever – because then the structure/composition would show it’s origin and point the finger directly at it’s creator(s) in the illegal gain-of-function biological warfare laboratories.
It would not surprise me if we actually invented it and the Chinese stole it and/or modified it! They are great at stealing and copying but sorely lacking in innovation.

I think that you may be onto something here. The non-existing Chinese virus put me in the hospital for 5 days right around New Year and I spent the rest of January recovering at home. Just started back at work last Monday and today had my first work out since December. I’m almost at 100%. Praise the Lord!

My son (37) and his wife (35) had it. Grandsons 9 & 11- No.
He just thought he was having one of his frequent sinus infections, no fever or dry cough. Until he lost his sense of smell and taste for a week. Same for his wife. They were relatively healthy otherwise, so no hospitalization and a quick recovery.
The doctors last year that were touting (and censored for promoting the use in the EARLY stage) the Hydroxychoroquine/ Zinc sulfate/ Azithromycin ($20) combination said that people would get sick, but it was not fatal like Ebola, etc.

I am a pastor and I work in field. COVID is responsible for homelessness and elder abuse. The good ol boy network doesnt care about CDC moratorium. Out they go and then there’s nothing else available because most are abiding. Then addicts get evicted because moratorium doesnt cover illegal activity. There’s no place to go so they move in with their grandparents who have paid off mortgages which leads to elder abuse. In patient rehab has long waiting lists. Grandparents rarely file charges. Adult protective services only solution is to remove the elder bc they are not part of law enforcement.

This weekend I’m holding an in-person meeting to discuss our legal case again our county’s illegal ballot processing.
Next weekend is our in-person GOP meeting (still working to get rid of the CRIMINALS within the not so grand old party).
When I go to the store I do not wear a mask — ever, and I don’t know what will come out of my mouth if ever anyone says a peep to me about not wearing a mask.
When a lady told my husband to pull his mask up over his nose he told her loudly to “Blow it our your a$$,” to which she told him loudly to F-off.

Texas and every other state with a R Governor should sue the usurper. He passed an E/O that nobody flying into the U.S. can step foot on U.S. soil without proof of a negative covid test taken 3 days or less prior to departure; and that includes returning U.S. citizens. In other words, you cannot go through passport/border control at a U.S. airport unless you have a Drs. note, yet he has opened up the borders to illegals with zero proof of their health status.
I’m in the middle of crazy stuff run by a bunch of incompetent nincompoops in Maskachusetts. Common sense in always in short supply when it comes to politics but what we have here goes beyond incompetent. some would say criminal. They needlessly killed a lot of old people and I think they did it intentionally because they weren’t sure if the bail out was coming . Can’t hire your niece ,your friends wife. (Can’t hire your own because that would be unethical) So they just hire each others relatives and friends, If you gotta pay nursing homes and doctors. You never know when the next big pay day will come so you gotta make your own. Killing off a few hundred old people sure makes it easy to find extra money.
I still see brain dead people driving around Alone wearing a mask. They must hate themselves pretty much to welcome wearing a stupid mask. Usually they have an Fake Indian ,a clinton or a biden sticker. Not hard to notice them, they will be the ones who have special driving privileges and are screwing up the flow of traffic.
Things are very bad in Canada. We now have forced kidnapping from airports and off you go to a mandatory 72 hour quarantine that you have to pay $2000 for in a hotel chain owned by China. You are not told where you are being taken to and your relatives are not allowed to know either although once they have you, you can call out from the undisclosed location and at least assure them you are still alive. Violation of the orders to remain involuntarily locked up can result in a $750,000 fine plus six months in jail. All international flights must now go to one of only four airports and the border is essentially closed. They have set up voluntary isolation units for people already in Canada who have been exposed but who have no appropriate place to quarantine. Give the history of this thing I don’t think it will be long at all before the voluntary aspect is replaced by the same enforcement used for international travellers. The sheeple are told it is for our own good to protect us from COVID and COVID variants and that the long term goal is to cleanse Canada of COVID as has been done in Australia and New Zealand. Due to the variants we are also told even after everyone is vaccinated we will still have to keep up the lockdowns, the distancing, the masks and the other measures designed to protect us. People abide by the mask requirement because to fail to do so results in a $300 fine plus any business you are in also gets fined $5000. The fine for violating the six foot rule or having too many people in your home in $1200 for each individual. Meanwhile the number of “refugees” allowed in has been increased from 15,000 to 120,000 because…well sheeple don’t ask because to do so is racist.
