That will have been a *manual* claim, if I’m not mistaken.

But, but, but… Fox News is our *friend*. They love us. I know because they told me so. It’s in their new motto- “Standing up for what’s Right.” (See what they did there? Clever…)

I mean, now that I think about it, there may have been some minor shenanigans a few months back, like how they were offered the story about a certain crackhead’s laptop and refused to cover it until after someone else broke the story.

Or that thing on election night where they *totally* by accident made a few… curious… reports that even *CNN* thought was a bit unreasonable.

Or that thing which absolutely did not set the stage for any sort of future nonsense, where that little twerp chris Wallace (presumably on advice from his wife’s boyfriend) after his failed proxy debate, made a bizarrely out of place accusation poorly masquerading as a question regarding Orange Man potentially “not committing to a ‘peaceful transfer of power’”- the first time I recall hearing that particular phrase.

Also, something about “omg why are you such a big meanie and support muh racisms and muh hu’white supremacist groups, like…uh… that one that’s led by a *black guy* named ‘Enrique’” because if that doesn’t scream “hu’white supremacist”, then I don’t know what does- and I’m from the South, and I’ve been told by many reliable sources that this makes me an expert on such things.

So there’s that.

But after their ratings were nuked into oblivion within *three days* after election night, and they broke their legs from backpedaling so hard, I was totally convinced of their sincerity. With all that very selective, limited coverage of a handful of things everyone had known about for weeks, calling out the “mainstream media” (which they are not a part of, I guess?) for being fake news, and.. other stuff… I completely forgot any of that ever happened.

If only there had been some kind of *subtle* hint that perhaps they were being ever so slightly disingenuous, like, say, posting a frantic damage control video about how “they’re listening”… with the comments turned off… (Yes, they actually did that.)

Man… they really fooled me… I never considered that maybe they realized that going full retard by alienating their very dedicated, if slightly naive, core demographic in such a way that they felt personally “betrayed” in the hopes that they would be accepted as BFFs by brian Stelter (ew…)- that might not have been such a good idea, and if they pretended hard enough that it never happened, everyone would forget all about it.

Well, don’t I feel stupid, because I fell for it.

Too bad for them that I was the only one, since their ratings have continued to plummet.

You know the saddest part of all? Chris Wallace’s wife’s boyfriend is gonna be very disappointed.
