It is not coincidental that churches and fellowship gatherings have been targeted for closure and control under the auspices of COVID-19 fear and mitigation. Both of these assembly points and gathering places have a deep history within the American rebellion.
The Sons of Liberty plotted rebellion in the public houses of Boston such as the Green Dragon Tavern, which began operation as early as 1712.
Members of the St. Andrew’s Lodge of Freemasons, which included Paul Revere and Dr. Joseph Warren, purchased the Green Dragon Tavern in 1764 to use as their headquarters.
In the fall of 1774, Revere, Warren, Samuel Adams, John Hancock and other members of the Sons of Liberty met in secret at the tavern to exchange intelligence gathered on the movement of British soldiers in and around Boston. By some accounts the plot for the Boston Tea Party was also hatched inside.
So pivotal were the secret meetings inside the Green Dragon Tavern that statesman Daniel Webster called it “the headquarters of the Revolution.” (link)
Fast forward 250 years later and the modern rebellion against leftist authoritarianism is now facing an identical issue. Individual members of the rebel alliance are having to use covert methods just to meet and discuss issues, grievances and concerns about liberty.
Additionally, modern social media communication has been intentionally throttled. As seen in the recent actions by Google/YouTube any challenge to the command and control authority will not be permitted. Any voices who raise questions about the legitimacy of our government will be silenced. The effort to block communication is happening in real places (bars and taverns) and in the digital space (the internet).
Less than a week after the November 3rd election our own voice was targeted to be silenced. Our Treehouse gathering place was razed by big tech, WordPress/Automattic, for violating opaque terms of service – for which they could not provide a single example.
As an illegitimate government intends to extend its power to control We The People, we would be wise to understand the purpose of cutting communication lines and attempting to isolate us. In the bigger picture any war strategy is more effective when the communication lines are disrupted. Do not doubt this is an actual war against the core principles of freedom and liberty.
The totalitarians have a strategy, and a big part of that strategy is to isolate us from assembling against their interests. This is why fellowship is so critical and all efforts to remain in communication must remain a primary focus.
Ultimately what the collective weight of progressiveness is putting upon us is isolation. There are so many historic references to this strategic sentiment it is disconcerting to review with hindsight.
We are not sages, but we saw this coming…. we just didn’t know the entry vector that would be used to accomplish the final stages of diminished freedom and individual liberty. As we look at the current COVID-19 mandates and dictates one cannot easily dismiss the weaponized use of a virus to attain division under the guise of “social distancing.”
When we initially asked the question: “where would you choose to live“, we had no idea a virus would be purposeful to enhance the objectives of social engineering, isolation and ultimately, painfully, oppression. Oblivious to the grand design, we allowed a seemingly disparate network of big tech companies to control communication. The COVID aspect now generates in the physical world exactly the same distance created in the digital world.
In/around July it was obvious in my travels we were on the precipice of a disconnect from human interaction that would numb our psyche to what ultimately matters, fellowship.
Not only are various governmental agencies forcing the separation of people from their community networks, we are also seeing faith-based organizations, churches, buying into the fear. Even in areas where churches are not forcibly shut down, many are seeing a structural shift where some faith leaders are willingly ostracizing their community under the guise of various COVID alarms. This is not good…. not good at all.
Fellowship is the essential ingredient to a purposeful life. How and why we interact with each-other is how and why we recharge our core humanity. To see faith leaders willing to separate from the function of fellowship is alarming. However, as individuals we must not allow this foreboding sense to become the normal expectation.
Throughout history large armies have been defeated through the process of division. It is not a leap to see the same strategic objectives being deployed against social assemblies including congregations. It is puzzling how leadership cannot see the danger in social and spiritual distance when the bond of fellowship is needed more than ever.
Each of us has a different connection to our community. Each of us has a different level of internal strength… such is the nature of living. However, the distance between people is manifestly not a good outcome when combined with the lack of food for the soul.
The influence of social media is already troublesome, physically distancing from human engagement only worsens the impact. There is no digital replacement for the true fellowship of humanity on a personal level.
Ultimately it is the currency of human connection that is the true value in our lives.
We have each felt how our positive influence upon the lives of others nourishes our own sense of purpose and fulfillment… Do not lose that. Do not think you can compensate for that through other arbitrary measures; you cannot.
With local, state and now federal leaders moving beyond the workplace distance; and beyond the community distance; and beyond the church distance; and now entering your home to tell you the importance of separating yourself from your family during a time of year when that very assembly is the core of your support network… you must evaluate these arbitrary decrees very deliberately.
Evaluate very closely what you are willing to give up. Perhaps we are in this position today because we didn’t sit still enough and contemplate the real priorities in our lives.
Our liberty is inherent.
Our freedom is inherent.
The removal of both requires consent.
We do not consent.
Pushed far enough decisions are reached.

Thanks’ to electronic devices, it is far easier for our government to keep track of us en masse and keep tabs on what we are up to. We saw with the Trump-FBI-Dossier bs that they can get a search warrant on anybody using the 3 hops (there is no more than 7 degrees of separation between us and every single other person on the planet) So unless they are using listening devices or there is an informant it they have no way of knowing what is going on.

I still think Cory Gardner in CO took a dive. He ran the absolute worst political campaign I have ever seen. The GOP ran the same two commercials for 8 months, and in the final month the only ads I saw from Gardner were, “I’m Cory Gardner and I really like Colorado, so vote for me if you like Colorado too.”
GOP “incompetence” is a bit like all the “human error” related to the Dominion Voting Systems machines. A convenient excuse disguising deliberate intent.

When he came to town, it was for carefully controlled events which were announced on his Facebook page AFTER he left town.
I despised Gardner because he so wanted to be in the Senate, but he ignored half the state in favor of the front range. I voted for him in the last election simply because I knew having an extra body in the Senate with an R next to his name would be better than Hickenstupid, but Gardner lost anyway.

I go maskless or refuse to patronize establishments that toe the line for the dictators, I engage and encourage everyone I see out and about sans-mask, I refuse to do anti-social distancing, and I disseminate all counter-narrative information I find.
Since moving to my smallish town in western NC I’ve been involved in the local music scene. After a long haitus, one of the weekly musical gatherings I used to attend has restarted in a local restaurant/bar that isn’t run by Karens. Despite our dictator governor’s declasring us guilty of misdemeanors for doing so, none of us superspreader singers mask up. I do know of several former attendees who refuse to join in out of fear, but we don’t care. Even thought we’re a shadow of our former number, we won’t give in.
The loss of all my gigs has not been easy, nor has the DemPanic engaged in by most of my musician friends here in blueMA.
Most of them are all doing lame Zoom music events now. During the good weather we had a small number who would play together outdoors. With the New England winter that has now dwindled to one other musician couple who is willing to play live with my manfriend and me.
Everybody in the extended group knows that I will never ever ever ever perform and sing with a mask. My voice is something I love to share. I won’t let it be stifled by that.
A musician friend mentioned a place that I might look into for a gig, but added that they’re strict on having the customers masked. Not only would I never perform masked – bit tought to sing that way – but I really don’t want to play to a masked audience.

When I think what has been done to conservatives, the military and private citizens for at least 12 years, I’m stunned. Just starting in the Obama years, the IRS targeted conservative organizations and nothing was done to them. The VA was actually killing vets by not scheduling the appointments they needed – finally Trump was able to get some relief there. Strange government agencies under the Obama administration bought huge amounts of ammunition, while the administration was running guns to cartels in Mexico and a border patrol agent was killed with one of the guns – again no one was held responsible. The Obama administration started the “Arab spring” and set the Middle East on fire. And of course Hillary, with the help of John McCain, was providing arms to terrorists. To cover that operation up she allowed 4 Americans – including our ambassador – to be killed and sent no help before or during the 13 hour siege. No one was not held accountable for those deaths. She also organized to sale of 1/5 of US uranium assets to Russia, all the while operating a pay for play scam through her charity. And, while she was doing all of this as Secretary of State, she was using a private email address and private server located in her bathroom for top secret communications. During all of this time, the main stream media and main stream social media covered none of this.
Then, during her campaign for president, she cheated Bernie – even getting the questions for debates from Donna Brazille. When her emails were leaked proving what her campaign had done to Sanders, she screamed that the Russians leaked the emails and started the “Trump is getting help from Russia” campaign. She actually paid for fake information from a Russian asset, through a former British spy (and paid for by the law firm representing her), and had the Trump dossier created. The Democrats, through a weaponized FBI and DOJ, lied on a FISA warrant, spied on candidate Trump, president elect Trump, and then President Trump; and did everything in their power to bring down the Trump administration. When the Special Council’s report finally was written, no Russian collusion was found. The Democrats next produced a “whistle blower”, who really knew nothing or heard nothing himself – which had always before been necessary for a whistle blower – to bring an impeachment of President Trump. The whistle blower accused the president of a “quid pro quo” arrangement just because he was trying to get the the bottom corruption in the Ukraine and of Hunter Biden’s questionable activities dealing with Ukraine. All the main street media denied coverage of anything about Hunter Biden. While President Trump was still dealing with the fraudulent impeachment, China unleashed COVID 19 on our country. During this whole time, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. blocked, banned, shadow banned, deplatformed and silenced any conservative media, beginning in 2016.
Now, we are facing the destruction of the middle class by the powers that be through their draconian COVID policies, and an absolutely stolen presidential election. We get the truth from virtually no one in our government, including parts like the CDC which should have nothing to do with politics. Where do we go from here?

I wonder if totalitarians FEAR emotional closeness: nobody likes Hillary, many love Trump and the emotional closeness he establishes by empathy with others. (see the types of relationships explored by American psychologist Mary Main et al.) Trump can individuate people, not relate to them only as a victim class, or group of people. Some people can do this, others are not brain-wired for it: and the latter are envious for what they do not have. They have an inner emptiness; they know something is wrong, but because of their propensity to project, simply do not have the self-awareness to realize their problem is internal. They are not capable of reciprocal relationships and a “power over others”, or victim stance is all that is left. All humans require relationship to survive, but totalitarians will never change, so the choices for human interaction are limited.

I dont have a Twitter account, but maybe someone who does would be willing to send this suggestion to Scott Presler, Jack Posobiec, Emerald Robinson, others? I realized — rather late in the game — and wrote about it several weeks ago: the sinister purpose of these mask-wearing mandates and social distancing. I think it was here on CTH that I commented on it.
Of course, the “timely” disruption of our normal interaction/communication here at this site is all of a piece of the same grand design: to keep us from sharing information and insight about what we’ve individually learned.
I had been thinking back about when the corona scare first erupted, mid-to late-March. At the grocery store I saw clusters here and there of shoppers (2 or 3 together) stopped in the aisles talking to one another; this was prior to the masking phase of the hoax. Looking back on that day and very much feeling the strain now of being deprived of faces —a chief source of body language and FRIENDLINESS— I got to thinking about the obvious hypocrisy of our “betters,” gathering at posh eateries and of the Pelosi hair salon gambit, all these ‘sweet’ people going about their lives with no concern in the world about the dreaded corona; and why? I pondered.
Why? They don’t want us to talk to each other. We might — sooner rather than later — come to the fact of our being played. Only the ostriches among us don’t know that the death rate of corona is markedly in line with our usual seasonal flu mortalities. And now we know too that our “betters” (you supply the names) are in it along with the CCP.
Now what I see are shoppers hurrying in and out of the store, barely daring to look at their masked, two-legged, and often fearful fellow shoppers, much less talk to them — social distancing, don’t cha know!.
These malignant betters of ours have us dancing to their malicious tune. We’re more numerous than they are; and if there’s going to be people afraid, it’s far better than it be them and not us.
I identified this very tactic of what they were doing early on. This is all meant to divide, isolate and dehumanize you. We let them funnel us down to a few social sites when the internet is a huge world and then put the clamp down. It was all part of the plan. They stole your vote so you are no longer a citizen. Perhaps a better way to look at it is that our freedom is INALIENABLE!. Even if we consent to our oppression we still cannot be alienated from our fundamental liberties because they are an integral part of our human nature.

While it isn’t as easy to network and plan in a Walmart or Costco, it is still possible. it is also possible to still have meetings of book clubs, cooking clubs etc in many places, outdoors.
But yes, this is deliberate to stifle the communications stream. I warned people for years that our information stream was compromised, and I am surprised my blog on that is still up on wordpress lol. But the communications stream is also compromised, more so because of COVID. And it is deliberate.
We will be moving north before Inauguration day. To MT in fact. And there will be a sign outside my house that treepers will recognize. Sundance and admins, we might consider having merch available with a common emblematic sign on it–like a treehouse. Hats, etc. Proceeds could support the site and your other endeavors, and those of us who wear could identify each other in the wild. Heck, we could even have a contest and all submit designs :-).
Odd you should say that. During the days CTH was in the digital “hospital” recovering from the 2.0 operation, I entertained myself by collecting some of the site pictures, making a few designs, and having a couple of things printed for my own entertainment/enjoyment.
I used the site cafepress.com. Yes their merch is cheap and Chinese and I would never recommend it for actual CTH items, but I was thinking in prototype terms…

The way many Churches have tried to tip toe thru scamdemic edicts has been disappointing. The spirit of 1776 is lacking there, to say the least.
But one thing all of us on the right of center spectrum need to ween ourselves away from is the lure of free stuff. If we want good content that’s free from leftist censorship, we’re gonna have to finacially support it. In light of that, I’m supporting the new Locals.com site.

This post really hit home. Initially, my wife and I went along with my church switching to online services for the sake of protecting the seniors in the congregation from COVID. But, as time wore on, I started to as well as question if this approach was more harmful than helpful. An online service simply is no substitute for in-person fellowship.
I really thought about leaving the church after the pastor and the deacons decided against a clear end date for online services. This was after the DC government had eased restrictions on church services. But the final straw was a sermon by the pastor, in which he slammed Trump for his faults while being silent about Biden’s pro-abortion record.
My wife and I were done. The pastor can’t call himself “pro-life” while giving pro-abortion Biden a pass. That’s hypocritical to the max.
So, my wife and I are searching for a new church how that truly values fellowship and has leaders that stand against tyrannical restrictions. Such an environment would be healthy for us and our kids.

We had a similar issue with our church but our last straw was a two-Sunday “listening session / lecture / sermon” about racism in a knee-jerk reaction to the Floyd riots. The church – small C – needs to be a bulwark against the present madness, but the many of the large-C churches are failing to lead.

The three people shown, left to right, are John Adams, Samuel Adams, and Paul Revere having a dinner/meeting at the Green Dragon Tavern. The series depicts the initial efforts, primarily by Samuel Adams, to foment revolution against Britain. It also displayed the dire hardships underwent while seeking to solicit the support from the other American colonies when meeting in Philadelphia. Most were very reluctant to put their lives and incomes at risk.
It sickened me to think how much these people put on the line (their very lives) to win us the freedom we take for granted today. And how, because of convenience and supposed security, we seem on the precipice of having it all taken away from us with barely a whimper.

Here is a somewhat good piece of news. The DC mayor blinked against the Catholic church and is now allowing services to be held with the same restrictions as restaurants – 25% capacity up to 250 people max, regardless of the size of the venue. I didn’t say it was necessarily logical but it is an improvement over the max 25 people. Some Catholic churches held weekly lotteries to be able to attend.
It’s a sad state of affairs when, as supposedly free citizens, we consider as good news being “allowed” to exercise innate freedoms in a fashion limited by our rulers.
The first amendment doesn’t give any person in government — or even the government as a whole — the right to infringe on freedom of religion OR association.
