I think zero recess appointments will be the largest symbol differtiating Trump from all others. A Senate recess of just hours or even minutes would have cleaned up so many things in DC. As such, not one Republican Senator….even the 2-3 possible good ones are worth a vote of mine. That is so sad. Sundance, back in 2019 you had an article about some freshman Republican Senators that voted with the Democrats on a bill. There were 3 or 4 of them and your post explained that these freshmen were showing McConnell that they were part of the decepticons. Josh Hawley was one of them. I voted for him in 2018. We are also home to decepticon Roy Blunt. I was disheartened by Hawley’s vote. Since then, I followed him on Twitter until I closed my account. He sticks to his agenda on breaking up big tech but I never heard him stand tough on the MAGA agenda or talk of Trump. I never heard McConnell criticize him for his stand in January because I believe it was orchestrated and approved of by Mitch. They knew it wouldn’t make a difference but would put him in the forefront for future president candidate. Keep a close eye on him and pay attention to what he doesn’t say.
