In those few seconds in the interview he tried to present PBS as that example of staying in the “middle” with its reporting. He may not have watched PBS for several decades or has himself been slowly brainwashed over the decades to still believe PBS represents the “middle” in political discourse.
This may well have been VDV’s thought process in that interview, as evidenced by his repeatedly stated desire to see the media and politicians “move to the middle” to solve problems.
Aside from that odd analogy, VDV may have done the best job yet in a recorded MSM interview of irrefutably destroying the obviously-biased show host’s blatant attempt to spin the facts hard to favor the DemoCommunists narrative, but in complete contradiction of the actual truth.

This is why I stopped watching television news 10 years ago. I was tired of the manipulation. It’s psychological abuse. It’s still there in print articles, but not quite as irritating.

Actually I find the print articles easier to dissect in order to expose the spin and bias. TV news talk shows are usually audio (host and guests speaking) but with the added visual of the speaker(s) on the screen. Often they add short video clips of others or events to supplement their reporting. The hosts are trained to use that visual (facial expressions; body language) to their maximum editorial benefit / effect.
Rush Limbaugh has often reminded his listeners of the reasons he chose radio over television as his medium of preference. He said that radio frees the listeners eyes of distraction and allows their brains to focus solely on the substance of what is said. Television presents a visual message in addition to the audible message, and can be far more manipulative if skillful content creators are trying to persuade the viewers.
A printed article must stand on the words used therein. The grammar and choice of words both combine to articulate the author’s thoughts; accurately if done well, and inaccurately if done poorly.
But there are a number of adjectives, verbs, and adverbs that are very revealing as to the author’s bias or preferences. It seems that journalists today cannot escape using those key words that almost always expose their leftwing or anti-American, anti-Trump, anti-conservative bias.

I did not watch this farce, not because I couldn’t stomach it, but because it is unconstitutional and should never have happened, let alone be broadcast wall to wall on public and private TV. The UNIParty has fundraised off this lie, their latest manufactured witch hunt event.

Mr. Van der Veen, god bless him…he’s old school and doesn’t know yet that a) the ‘msm’ isn’t about news anymore b) our Gov’t has been taken over by marxists and their quislings c) his entreaty to ‘come to the center’ or middle ground, is a logical fallacy. What desireable middle ground can be found by splitting the baby with communists?

In the context of ordinary citizens targeted by an oppressive government not having access to the excellent represenation of Michael Van Der Veen, and the events of Jan 6, the left was jizzing their shorts to get into what they’ve long labeled an ‘extreme right-wing militia’, ironically made up of military and law enforcement, the Oath Keepers. They managed to identify and target a few. In general, Oath Keepers perform security functions, protecting people who are attacked and using their professional training to identify agitators and government operatives working within crowd situations. In DC they would’ve been unarmed but those sent usually are experienced in hand to hand combat. Good example of ‘right wing extremists’ as the prog paints them.
Good on Michael for a job well done. Very few of us can afford his level of shield from the oppressor when they come for us so we’ll use different tactics from DC lawyering to deal with them. Another ‘right wing extremist’, so labeled by the prog, just a kid, did gain enough popularity to focus fund raising for his defense but even he got stuck in a juvenile facility for a month and would’ve been stuck in adult jail if not for the generosity of two big donors, Ric Schroder and Mike Lindell, and a bunch of others. Follow his case, that’s Kyle Rittenhouse, and the cases of the hundreds to thousands of ‘right wing extremists’ who participated in the ‘violent inssurection’ on Jan 6 and now targeted by the FBI and DOJ for more examples.
Some are wealthy, like those private jet flying real estate people from Texas, others just Joe’s and Jane’s who will be battered by the system and used as political pawns without regard to their life or freedom. There will be no Michael Van Der Veen coming to their rescue. That’s reality in America. Those are our neighbors perpetrating it on us. Some of us have given the ultimate measure of sacrifice to enable their freedom to perform their actions of oppression. They made that choice. They are responsible. We are the cure. Those who believe in a kumbaya let’s all get along and be friends moment, God be with you.

What irritates me is that it seems everyone who talks about the Capitol “movie” have to automatically say there were “bad people on both sides” as if to give equal time. Or be politically correct. I love how she mentions how “fair and balanced” Fox is and then asks a completely bias question; also they referred to Obama as President Obama and during the entire campaign they referred to Biden as “Vice President Biden, but now former President Trump. Fox is full of actors, not journalists.

VDV DID in fact change his voice to mimic the CBS host Lana Zak’s’ whiney voice (I thought it was masterfully done impromptu) and he DID rightfully accuse the Dems of doctoring evidence and she DID attempt to downplay that fact and he DID righteously tear off his mic and walked away..
So like Daily Mail or not – yes they’re usually leftwing biased – there’s not much to argue with in the quoted statement, IMHO.

This guy deserves enormous respect. Not only is he smart but has withstood the brutal personal and professional leftist attacks that I am sure he suffered.
After looking at ALL the reports with respect to the “witnesses” blow up at the sham-peachment, I still give Ms Lindsey Graham zero credit for anything approaching a rare “noble strategic thought”. Ms Lindsey would have been happy with witnesses to seal President Trump’s fate and prove the demo-commie case. The Senate Rules for the sham-peachment required a majority vote of approval of any witness, before that witness appeared. It was a zero risk grandstanding move by the snake Graham.
What killed the move to witnesses was the President’s legal team declaring a 300 person and growing list of witnesses. That would have tied up the senate in very visible hearings for weeks before witnesses were even heard at the senate trial. The optics of that approval process is the fact Chuckie Cheese Schumer used to regain control and NO witnesses being called. Ms Lindsey’s action was pure zero risk grandstand and not meant to end the sham-peachment.
Lady G had a play either way. Call witnesses and maybe Pelosi and others are exposed and Lindsey takes credit. Don’t call witnesses and he can declare he called their bluff.
When the GOP does this consistently the left will change. Not until then.
So what was the purpose of having Collins take 2/3 of the screen and only one third to Van der Veen. Must be Fauxnews definition of fair and balanced. Don’t see any reason whatsoever to have split the screen. He should have had the whole screen.

He represented a client who sued the Post Master General over the handling of Mail-In ballots. This was the same client he represented who in July 2016 tried to hack the IRS to get Trump’s tax returns.
