Taken by AP(lefty-loonies).if you watched in real-time you would see much smiling, hugging, hand shaking and hand above heads. All leaders Prime Minister and Indian President and POTUS were very happy. That picture is by biased person.

I work among about a dozen IT engineers from India and it’s been fun engaging them on this whole U.S./India topic over the past 6 months or so. A few months ago the group was universally anti-Trump and I mostly just listened to them without getting particular political at work. After the Trump rally in Houston with PM Modi, the group remained mostly anti-Trump, brushing it off as PDJT simply pandering to the Indian-American voting community, but I thought at the time it struck some emotional chords. But after the past two days, the group has now largely swung over to praising Trump and are now arguing with the few die-hard anti-Trumpers. As a result of their ‘enlightenment’ I am able to have much more substantive lunchtime discussions and they seem to now be open to more nuanced explanations for what may actually be going on with Trump vs. globalism and elitism.
I’m hopeful similar discussions are now taking place throughout the large and well-connected U.S. Indian-American community.

I will note that the group was particularly impressed with Trump’s interest and honoring of the Gandhi Ashram which is apparently the cradle of India’s independence movement away from the British and is a touchstone for all Indians no matter their political persuasion.

Poor designer Tom Ford and his fellow liberal “we hate Trump” fashion creators. Seems Melania Trump has many designers to help her look fabulous, as she does most of the time!

History books will certainly have her pictures of style, beauty and class, but nowhere will the words be “designed by Tom Ford or his liberal pals” I think.

    Just too damn bad…

Yes but really she could look fabulous in a potato sack.
Why again is the left telling us that PDJT isn’t respected by other countries.
Only the leftist approved EU elitist matter to the left and they are the problem.

I am so glad hey all revealed just how small and petty they are. Our FLOTUS does not need to wear clothes designed by bitter, angry, hate filled, Godless, soulless followers of Harvey swinestein and jeffrey epstein.

Yes, when Trump was elected the fashion world said they did not want to “dress” Melania. I believe her official response was tat she did not need any “help” choosing her clothes. Right she was.

Melania has never looked more beautiful. “In the very pink of perfection”. She reminds me of Jacqueline Kennedy at official functions, in that she appears genuinely interested in the people she interacts with.
Her nails- perfect. I don’t usually care about nails.
It looks as if she doesn’t want any fitted clothing sticking to her on this trip.

There must be careful planning going on ahead of time, for there not to be any wardrobe errors, nothing having to be fussed with or not looking right.

Oh, and that guy with her is doing a good job too.

Not one to pay much attention, as a rule, but I did notice FLOTUS wearing flats for the dinner. Made me wonder whether the extensive walking in heels yesterday took its toll?

    • rvsueandcrew says:

Someone, somewhere on this board — and I don’t know how to explain as well as they did — said that flat shoes were an Indian thing. Her flats did seem most appropriate with the long, flowing, pink gown with shoulder drape.

Funny, you were thinking all the walking in heels yesterday may have taken a toll. As someone who has spent many hours in heels, sometimes the flats take time to adjust to afterward.

If he did, no one could blame him.

I wonder if they’ll “open” the air-refueling door on the way back???
Could make the run in 11.2 Parasec’s that way, eh?… I’m sure there’s some DC-10 fuel tankers there in Alaska capable of supporting such a mission….up over the pole area….no real stretch for a stepper’ like PDT…. just put up the “kiddy barrier” between the press pool seats and the adult section….eh?… Job well done Mr. President….kick back for 20 hours and relax…..OR, plan you “mass exits” announcements coming soon to a DC rag near you…. Long over-due house cleaning…

She’s so gorgeous. Her clothes are always spectacular and perfect. The hatred from the other side is totally evil. They try to show how “loving” they are by how much they hate. It makes no sense.

No one notices, I do. Jared and Ivanka are aboard on all these foreign trips and are in on all the high level meetings. In one film clip, they were walking behind POTUS and FLOTUS. Every CEO has a succession plan. To me it is obvious, Jared is the current apprentice and will be the candidate in 2024, he very well could be “46”.

What better training for future Potus/Flotus than this very smart couple who are imbibing cultural traditions on these presidential visits. They are already well recognized in international circles. I don’t see any of the opposition being able to hold a candle to Jared and Ivanka.

          • Beverly says:

Jared is from a very liberal New York family; Ivanka is a liberal as well. They’ve toned it down a bit while her father is in the White House, but they haven’t changed.

So NO to any ‘dynasty’ if they’re involved. I do like Don Junior, though: he gets it and is a conservative.

            • Despicable Me says:

Agreed. I think that the vitriol of which Ivanka and her husband found themselves in the receiving end following the election of her father caught Ivanka off guard especially since most, if not all, of it came from their like-minded and very “liberal” friends. In spite of this shock and the supreme difficulty of ever resuming some semblance of their previous lives in New York, I don’t think that Ivanka and her husband have changed their political stripes.

      • Linda K. says:

        I love Ivanka’s dress.

Thanks to Sundance for all the Indian coverage. It was amazing, from the visit to the Ashram on the way to the Stadium playing Macho Man prior to our dear President walking out.
Whoever planned the dresses for our sweet ladies, Melania and Ivanka, did a beautiful job. They acknowledged the ornate colors and beauty that is India. The flowers also, at each venue were stunning.
The Indian people clearly LOVED our President and Melania. They venerate greatness. Oh that our media extended an iota of that politeness.
God bless our President and our First Lady!
