Impeachment Trial Next Steps – Senate Leader McConnell Establishes Briefing Schedule…

Adopted today by unanimous consent:

  • A Summons to the White House notifying them of the impeachment trial will be issued by the Senate and delivered by Saturday January 18th, 2020, 6:00pm,
  • The House of Representatives (impeachment managers) have a deadline of 5:00pm Saturday, January 18th, 2020, for the filing of their impeachment brief to the Senate.
  • The White House (defense lawyers) have a response deadline of 5:00pm Monday, January 20th, for their response to the House impeachment brief.
  • The House of Representatives (impeachment managers) have a deadline of Noon Tuesday, January 21st, for their rebuttal brief to the White House defense brief.
  • The Senate Trial begins at 1:00pm Eastern, Tuesday January 21st, 2020.

Senators will not be allowed to bring their cell phones or any electronic device into the Senate chamber while the trial is underway.

Following Thursday’s senate swearing-in and administration of oath, Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said he will try to force votes on witnesses on Tuesday.  Democrats have called for subpoenaing four witnesses including former National Security Advisor John Bolton and acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney.

However, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is keeping the construction of the senate impeachment resolution, laying out the rules, quiet.  As of this moment no-one knows the details of the resolution being assembled by the Senate majority.

CTH has been warning those who are interested, since last year, not to underestimate the scheming and planning of the Democrats and Lawfare in the Senate phase.  The entire apparatus of the resistance network within government is aligned with the impeachment effort.  Nothing is happenstance and everything unfolding in the media is pre-planned.

Just like the media worked hand-in-glove with the DOJ, FBI, CIA and intelligence officials to construct the fraudulent Russia conspiracy case against Trump; and just like those same administrative state officials and media worked hand-in-glove with the Mueller investigation to advance the fraudulent special counsel effort; those exact same participants are working together to frame the appearance of criminal conduct within this impeachment effort.   Same people, same purposes and intents.

All of the media headlines are pre-scripted by narrative engineers who have been given advanced notification and copy of the needs.  All of the players within the headlines are working in unison; this includes the resistance operative inside government offices such as the DOJ.   All media stories are pre-engineered, sequenced, and scripted with a template provided by political operatives.

It took a long time for President Trump’s allies to realize the 2018 Pelosi rule changes were directly connected to the 2019 activity and the construction of a fraudulent whistle-blower complaint.  Many people, unfortunately including most on our side, just don’t grasp the amount of time and energy the resistance operatives put into the pre-planning.

The recent discovery of Mary McCord working on behalf of the impeachment effort should have been a bucket of cold water in the face of those who keep downplaying the risk.  I hope the independent researchers and new-media have awakened to the reality that surrounds all of us.

As I’ve said before, there are a lot of lobbying and consulting jobs that await anyone who bows down to the deep state and let them get back to business. And those jobs are both more lucrative and much easier than being a Senator.

It’s 100% he will be impeached—that’s what happened when they slow-walked the articles over today. Removal is the concern. Nothing about this has been fair or rational. UpChucky sent a message today going after Barr and Pence too. Pay attention—this is the end-game. If they can prey on the never Trumpers to remove him, Pence will be next. Then we get President Shakiest Hands in the West and she’ll pick Crooked Hillary as her VP and then resign for health reasons. Nazi can go to her grave as Madame Sphincter and the first woman President (for life, just like hanging impeached on President Trump)..
Contact your Senators and tell them to vote NO to remove. We must inundate their offices. I have emailed mine yesterday and today.only volume will make our point. Come November, we must vote en masse. If they remove our President, the level of cheating will be unprecedented.

Ask yourself what will become of the GOP of Trump is removed over this BS? They’re not going to let that happen for any reason. Admittedly it’s upsetting that this stupid hoax got this far. But I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. The left is posturing but deep down they want witnesses called less than we do. The latest evidence that just got dumped is a hedge so the left doesn’t look totally stupid when this is dismissed. And please don’t worry about them re-impeaching DT. He could actually commit a crime but after this no one will believe the “boy who cried wolf” again. I think that is the fear driving the left’s behavior more than anything and rightfully so. If witnesses were indeed call this will turn into a freak show. Our country does not need that and McConnell knows this plain and simple. I suspect he’ll take his time but ultimately take this sham out and put it in the trash where it belongs.

Trust me, if President Trump is convicted in this sham impeachment trial, there will be a million livid Trump voters camped in Washington with blood in their eyes and they won’t be going anywhere until President Trump is restored to office and the liars who set him up are arrested.

There is a rumble and groundswell building and the Senate had better put an ear to the rails and listen good. Washington will be shut down until cleared by the military shedding patriot blood, or President Trump is vindicated.

If he is convicted, I see 100% chance of open, armed revolt in defense of the lawfully elected, wrongfully convicted president, and of the Constitution.
I am not using hyperbole. In my opinion, anyone paying attention can see the signs, just as quite a few of us, myself included, called the Trump victory in 2016 because the disgust with Hillary and the corrupt Dems had reached a boiling point.

I pray that the Senators take a real good look around and realize that their ability to move around in public in America will end, for the rest of their lives, if they convict the prresident and remove him from office, and they will have been responsible for firing the first shots at Fort Sumter. This is just a fact, based upon historical traits of human behavior.

The challenge with trying to pre-script everything is that people do not behave in the ways you expect them to. As the old saying goes, “All plans fail on first contact with the enemy.” So, for example, the Democrats/Lawfare/Media figure on setting up Trump to take a Nixon-like fall over the call transcript. Trump releases the transcript. Not only does Schiff make an ass of himself lying about the call’s contents, the transcript debunks the whistleblower complaint.

    They proceeded anyway.

Then there were the phony subpoenas which lacked legal foundation, and which Trump rightly ignored outright. That wasn’t supposed to happen. Trump was supposed to cave. Including his court battles which will become moot since Trump will be acquitted before those cases reach SCOTUS. At which point SCOTUS is going to say, “Why do you need evidence for a trial that already took place and you lost?”

Then there were the scripted “witnesses”…who would go on to exonerate Trump on cross-examination. And then there were the obvious witnesses who weren’t called (Ciaramella, Biden). And the entire hearings were a ratings and political disaster. That wasn’t supposed to happen!

Then there was the expected “bipartisan” impeachment vote. Until the only bipartisan votes were “no” votes! That wasn’t supposed to happen either, and it had the added benefit of giving the GOP a wonderful, and true, talking point: Pelosi herself last Spring claimed that impeachments aren’t really legit unless they’re “bipartisan”.

Then there was the impeachment “delay” to force those wimpy old Repubs into caving like they always do and giving away the store to Democrats to make them happy. Until that didn’t happen and McConnell told Pelosi to go pound sand. And then Pelosi folded like a cheap lawn chair in the face of one withering word: “No.” This, too, destroyed whatever Lawfare plan there was to delay the trial to try and win some court cases. (Best case? SCOTUS hears those cases in May or June. Worst case? The impeachment is long-gone and SCOTUS or a lower court just throws it all out as meritless.)

Then there was the pen ceremony yesterday, which was just creepy and weird. And, those Wizards of Smart “narrative engineers” somehow thought this would upstage Trump signing a globally-historic trade deal with the ChiComms? And upstage USMCA ratification today? And all the good economic news?

These people are not deserving of the respect afforded intelligent men. Scheming and conniving? Sure!

    Effective?

    Not so much.

The wind is at the GOP’s back right now. The pubic is largely tuning out. We have the AFC and NFC Championship games coming up this weekend, and the Super Bowl shortly after sucking a lot of the nation’s attention. Then all the NCAA tournament seeding play in Feb. And the fact that nobody thinks Trump is going to be convicted or removed?

These Lawfare people are loading up a clown car of misery for the Democrats.

Time to batten down the hatches, remove Liefare from Congress, investigate them for bribery and collusion (at the very least with SDNY, the whistleblower, the rape girls who lied about Kavanaugh, the rewriting of House rules to weaponize the House in much the same way as Obummer weaponized the government (FIB/DoJ/CIA/IRS/AG/Treasury) again slaw-abiding citizens.

An extreme hatred of Donald Trump and a passion for doing whatever it takes to keep him from being reelected in November 2020 is the one thing that unites all true blue Democrats regardless of their ideological leanings or their positions on the issues of the day.

Knowing that Donald Trump will certainly be acquitted in the Senate trial, the four main goals of the Democrat’s Grand Impeachment Gamble are:

      — To energize and motivate The Resistance to ever greater efforts against the president;

      — To energize and unite the Democrat’s committed voter constituency to the maximum extent possible before the November 2020 election;

      — To sow as much discord and discontent among Trump supporters as can be managed in the relatively short amount of time that is left before the election; and last but not least

      — To effect a permanent change in the balance of power among the Congress, the Executive Branch, and the Judiciary with the ultimate goal of making the House of Representatives the dominant player in setting the policy agenda for America’s central government.

We will know in November 2020 whether or not these four main objectives were actually achieved.

I watched the two PBS Frontline episodes on the Obama to Trump administrations. Both were told from a liberal lens. The first one treated Barak as a bystander beset by the Bush recession, racist Tea Party types and Sarah Palin. The second covered President Trump as a vain clown who gets nothing right. The villain in the second is Steve Bannon & Breitbart commenters who said mean & untrue things about Hillary. (Interestingly, the screen grabs of comments saying stuff looked fake. I was a frequent BB commenter at the time and nothing Frontline claimed was said would’ve gotten past the Discus censor.) Lots on interviews with butthurt journalists who chafe to this day at being called Fake News. They present the Russia hoax as a true fact and even run the clip where President Trump tells the “Russia can you find the missing Hillary emails” joke as proof of PDJT’s treason. It was very slick and damning to the untrained eye, showing the President and Republicans in the worst light. I’m guessing it’s no coincidence that it is airing now before the impeachment farce.

President Trump said a few weeks ago, he doesn’t feel like he’s being impeached. I suspect he no longer feels that way. I hope most voters are even 1/100th as angry as I am at this charade. It will be great for November.

sundance–“All media stories are pre-engineered, sequenced, and scripted with a template provided by political operatives.” This is not a surprise to SD or us but just going by the clip provided in the previous article on Impeachment, the most common refrain in the corrupt media and the political Prosecution will likely be “He broke the law; the President broke the law for his own benefit…” or something similar. It makes for a strong sound bite video to hammer into the minds of the gullible millions as proven by the Russian agent Hoax.

The tension in D.C. has suddenly built up to a crescendo and I suspect some borderline Republican, moderate or outright anti Trump Senators are smelling blood and already buckling under the media pressure or the yearning to enact revenge on “Donald John Trump, the President of the United States” as POTUS will be referred to in these outrageous and evil proceedings. The outcome can either start the 2nd U.S. Civil War or enact Justice and humiliate the loathsome Dems.

it’s only wild speculation but Justice Roberts seemed to be enjoying his role in overseeing PDJT’s impeachment. He did not seem to be oozing Impartiality.

Like the Kavanaugh circus. Lawfare just needed to sucker the kick-me-again-Republicans to open the impeachment phase danger zone, where it’s only one little vote away at any time. They have stunts ready to go when the time is ripe, just like Blasey-Ford whatever.

I don’t know the rules, but I think the schemers will drop something incendiary (regardless of truth of course) during the trial to try to create an instant frenzy/outrage to pressure the CoC Republicans to take a snap vote that convicts, in the middle of the outrage, before the dust can settle or truth can surface. Maybe something like the hysteria created around the Access Hollywood tape etc, or that looks like a smoking gun.

Regardless, we need to stand strong and together with VSGTrump no matter the appearance created by the media headlines. I trust that Trump is in control, but it’s worrysome that they only need to blackmail or bribe 20 Rinos to cross the finish line (esp since at least 4 or 5 of our chumps will give it up for free).

At this point the Fifth Ave joke is no longer a joke… I don’t care what they claim he’s guilty of, i’m not abandoning Trump. Period.

For generations the left has been absolute masters of political optics and messaging – we’ve long had to deal with the cunning Evil Party (Dems) versus the Stupid Party (GOP) – but now the Dems’ political talents have manifestly vanished. Poof. Old-school Democrat strategists would NEVER have allowed the golden-pens-on-silver-trays move to happen. Never, ever. That was an epic political failure, and it provides a window into the state of their political skill-set.

      NIL. Null. Void.

The stench of loserdom is all over the Democrat party. Hell, they now look like Republicans used to, constantly stepping on rakes. Although the GOPe doesn’t deserve it and can’t take a bit of credit for it, Trump has brought the winning to the right.

A 2/3 vote would result in a guilty verdict and immediate removal from office. A second majority vote would prohibit future Federal office, etc. I was surprised that in impeachment trials resulting in a guilty verdict, a ban from future office is unusual 3(?) times. Case in point, Alcee Hastings who was convicted and removed as Federal Judge but is a long term Congressman.
