It’s Deja-Vu All Over Again – The Ukraine Effort is Simply “Obstruction 2.0″…

[Background] As I’m wiping down the white-board to outline the corrupt purposes, intents and connections, suddenly it becomes obvious. The Ukraine story is Obstruction 2.0.

To assemble a quick elevator explanation of the Muh Russia obstruction construction, and to better understand the end goal of the political objective which encompassed the use of the FISA court, CTH previously said:

To get impeachment, they needed obstruction. To get obstruction, they needed an investigation. To get the investigation, they needed evidence. To change dossier from oppo-research to evidence they needed a FISA. To get a FISA they needed a target. The target was Carter Page.

While assembling the more recent deployment of Adam Schiff’s Ukraine story, I recognize something familiar:

To get impeachment Schiff needs obstruction.  To get obstruction, Schiff needs an investigation.  To get an investigation Schiff needs evidence.  To change political innuendo into evidence, Schiff needs a ‘whistle-blower’.  To use a ‘whistle-blower’ they need a report… And guess where we are?

In the 2016/2017 Muh Russia operation we notice the same general cast of characters were involved.  •Embeds in the intelligence apparatus; •Lawfare allies -inside and outside government- constructing the narrative for media absorption and distribution; and •politicians working to utilize their constructs.

Now, remember, the Lawfare Alliance is quite smart, they purposefully use the intelligence apparatus as part of the constructed narrative because the intelligence aspect itself can act as a shield.

You might remember when Adam Schiff was making claims in 2017 about the ‘highly classified’ FISA application used against Carter Page?

As the HPSCI ranking member Adam Schiff was saying in 2017 the ‘Steele Dossier’ was not the structural evidence underlying the application (it was).  However, Schiff knew: (A) the application was hidden by its classified status; and (B) if the application did ever become public in 2018, his allied media would never hold him accountable for the 2017 lies.

When the FISA application was ultimately released, albeit in redacted form (Aug ’18), the Steele Dossier was the structural underpinning for it; yet Adam Schiff was never held accountable for the fraudulent content in the House Minority Intelligence Report.

Fast forward to 2019 and overlay this Trump/Ukraine story and what you will immediately notice is an almost identical deployment of the same playbook.

♦Obstruction 1.0 (2016 original version): Source for Obstruction narrative, Chris Steele.
♦Obstruction 2.0 (2019 Ukraine version): Source for Obstruction narrative, an unnamed “Whistle-Blower”.

♦Obstruction 1.0: Tool for Obstruction narrative, Steele Dossier.
♦Obstruction 2.0: Tool for Obstruction narrative, Whistle-Blower Complaint.

♦Obstruction 1.0: The impediment to Obstruction narrative advancement (a needed special counsel) was AG Jeff Sessions.  Solution was to force recusal.
♦Obstruction 2.0: The impediment to Obstruction narrative advancement is current Acting DNI Joseph McGuire.  Solution ongoing, hence call him before HPSCI.

[IMHO The House Intelligence Committee will likely attempt some recusal process against Joseph McGuire.  Also, if you accept this Ukraine angle was planned to roll-out, it is almost certain to explain why Schiff and the Democrats were desperately demanding the appointment of Sue Gordon.  They’ve had this operation in the works for weeks.]

♦Obstruction 1.0: narrative exploitation needed a Special Counsel investigation.
♦Obstruction 2.0: narrative exploitation now needs HPSCI investigation.

It doesn’t matter that the underlying premise is false. What matters is the ability of Schiff and team -including media- to create the illusion of possibility within their premise:

♦Obstruction 1.0: Obstruction narrative needed the premise Trump worked with the Russians etc.
♦Obstruction 2.0: Obstruction narrative needs the premise Trump worked with (pressured) the Ukranians.

Once Schiff/Lawfare create the premise and cement a false narrative; then all efforts shift to taking aggressive measures to bait President Trump into taking action that would lead to the charge of obstruction:

♦Obstruction 1.0: Obstruction narrative mostly based on Trump firing James Comey.
♦Obstruction 2.0: Obstruction narrative will advance by baiting Trump to remove Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG).

It should be emphasized the Inspector General for the Intelligence Community; the guy who accepted the ridiculous premise of a hearsay ‘whistle-blower‘ complaint, who was “blowing-the-whistle” based on second hand information of a phone call without any direct personal knowledge, is Michael K. Atkinson.

Atkinson’s self-interest:  Michael K Atkinson was previously the Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General of the National Security Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ-NSD). That makes Atkinson senior legal counsel to John Carlin and Mary McCord who were former heads of the DOJ-NSD in 2016 when the stop Trump operation was underway.

[Irony Reminder: The DOJ-NSD was purposefully under no IG oversight. In 2015 the OIG requested oversight and it was Sally Yates who responded with a lengthy 58 page legal explanation saying, essentially, ‘nope – not allowed.’ (PDF HERE) All of the DOJ is subject to oversight, except the NSD.]

Put another way, Michael Atkinson was the lawyer for the same DOJ-NSD players who: (1) lied to the FISA court (Judge Rosemary Collyer) about the 80% non compliant NSA database abuse using FBI contractors; (2) filed the FISA application against Carter Page; and (3) used FARA violations as tools for political surveillance and political targeting.

Yes, that means Michael Atkinson was Senior Counsel for the DOJ-NSD, at the very epicenter of the political weaponization and FISA abuse.

Immediately after the Carter Page FISA warrant is approved, in the period where DOJ-NSD head John Carlin has given his notice of intent to leave but not yet left, inside those specific two weeks, the National Security Division of the DOJ tells the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) they have been breaking the law.  The NSD specifically inform the court they are aware of contractors who have been using FISA 702(16)(17) database search queries to extract information on political candidates.

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz has looked into the FISA application used against U.S. Person Carter Page.  Additionally, U.S. Attorney John Durham is said to be looking at the intelligence communities’ use of systems for spying and surveillance.

If the DOJ-NSD exploitation of the NSA database, and/or DOJ-NSD FISA abuse, and/or DOJ-NSD FARA corruption were ever to reach sunlight, Atkinson -as the lawyer for the process- would be under a lot of scrutiny for his involvement.

Yes, that gives current ICIG Michael Atkinson a strong and corrupt motive to participate with the Schiff/Lawfare impeachment objective.

If you stand back and look at the big picture, what becomes visible is the purpose for this 2019 Adam Schiff Ukraine Whistle-blower narrative to create the same situation previously used in 2016/2017 to generate Trump impeachment by obstruction.

It is an almost identical playbook.

No. They’re actually trying to protect Biden. The Democrats always accuse you of what they’re guilty of doing. But Sundance is brilliant: it’s Obstruction 2.0. The Intelligence Inspector General deserves to be fired for treating a rumor-monger as a whistle-blower (more Mamet Rule – playing stupid?) ; but if Trump fires him, it’s obstruction: grounds to impeach.

If Barr’s goal was indeed to do nothing..

IMO there were certain things already in motion before Barr that have to be allowed to resolve

                  The SCO was one.
                  The Mueller Report/testimony was another.
The last is the FISA Abuse report… investigation that was ongoing and Barr had no part in initiating.
                  IOW: He’s clean on this.

We have become tainted- particularly over the last 3 years-by what “investigations” look like.

                  Bombshells, Leaks, & Unmaskings
ARE NOT HOW THEY ARE DONE.
                  Silence is.
What we have been subjected to is
                  how FAKE ones are done.

And now we are filling that uncomfortable silence with our anxieties and past experiences.

Barr requested DECLASS authority and appointed his own Special Counsel outside of DC.

Yes we can interpret that as a FIXER operation
we can equally interpret that as a SWAMP workaround.
And actually if I was trying to clean this up and hold people accountable
I can’t think of a better way to do it.
                  Can you?

If Barr randomly declassifed documents and released them out in the wild…..
                  on their own
where they will simply be dispatched with….like Nunes Memo was.
I would be much more concerned.

I can wait another month to find out.

People keep expecting a sudden draining of the swamp. The process actually has been more akin to skimming off the scum. Atkinson now has gained attention.

IMO, one more person at the FBI who needs a light shown on her is Sally Moyer. She must not be SES. Apparently there is a common practice at DOJ/FBI of not revealing the names of non-SES individuals. I think IG Horowitz even mentioned such in the hearing last week. Since she is un-named, she dwells right below the surface where she is not noticed.

          Agree completely..
The DOJ has always had the Mantra of:

Presidents come and go, but “We”…will still be here when they are gone and must maintain a steady course……Pfffft

That being….”Control”….The DOJ is so infected with “sycophancy” that “anyone” who has worked there is infected.

As I stated above, the President should fire Barr now….before any investigation begins…or once started …or Barr recuses…he is stuck with him….

Of course the problem with that being, getting another AG approved by the Senate and who would be in charge if Barr is fired.

So, this is the true test for Barr. Is he loyal to the President or to his “institution?”
          I.E. “President’s come and go”

Rudy, Stephen Miller, hell…put Rick Perry in for AG….

But…again….I am not a lawyer…….but can smell BS from very far away….

          Oh yeah….

Schiff has cried wolf one too many times so no one is paying attention to him.

And if Biden wants to remain in the presidential race, some very powerful people are going to want this to just go away sooner rather than later.

I give it to the end of the week, at the latest.

So are we to assume President Trump—who is the target of Schiff’s delusions—has no idea what Schiffy is up to and is incapable of mounting a defense? How many times have we been at such a juncture? More than a few, yet the President has managed to prevail. What prevents that from happening again? I have been impressed with the outcomes as his opponents have rather consistently underestimated his resources and resourcefulness. On that basis I’d predict he’ll prevail this time as well, but I suppose nothing’s guaranteed. We’ll just have to see what happens.

        My thoughts exactly.

I really don’t understand why Attorney General William Barr has be the target of so much vitriol and accusations of being a do-nothing swamp-guardian.

Barr stood up strong on the Mueller Report, resisted several attempts by the left to misrepresent the findings of the investigation and forced corrective press statements when false assertions and ambiguous statements were made.

He has initiated several investigations and appointed serious investigators to lead them.

Every speech, interview, and other public comments have been consistent with his stated objectives and those of President Trump.

Aside from the small minority of voices on the right who have maintained a state of heightened anxiety and frustration for the past 1-2 years because of the perception that zero action has been taken to hold the corrupt DOJ, FBI, & IC officials, that still remain at the center and subject of ongoing investigations, along with members of the Obama Administration accountable for their many subversive and destructive actions against the American people, our government institutions, the Constitution and our nation as a whole.

I just can’t wrap my head around some of the comments coming from these people. Even in this comment section we have people buying into the many memes that Sundance has created by saying things like:

This was my thought as well, especially after seeing that whistle blower report based on hearsay, and Ukrainian Gov’t backs up Trump’s version of events.

What if the WH knew about the anti-Trump sentiments of this person (that is currently known as the “Whistle Blower”), and had someone leak to this person about Trump’s phone call… and then encourage speculation with that person about the possibility of Trump making “promises”. And that person filed a whistle blower complaint, just as the WH expected.

And the left fell right into the trap.

Pure diabolical speculation of course… LOL

        I’m satisfied.

The Comey declination followed the pattern of the Hillary “email” exoneration. The prosecutor hangs everything on the Espionage Act, a statute with which the Judiciary is not enamored and is not enforced strictly in civilian law the way it is in military law. Meanwhile, there were statutes under which Comey would have easily been:

        1. Indicted
        2. Convicted

The trick: Use the wrong statute to determine the efficacy of a prosecution and hope nobody looks up a statute with elements that intersect with the facts of the case.

Grandad said that one German prisoner he and his fellow English soldiers captured referred to the kilt wearing, bagpipe playing scotts as “the ladies from Hell” and went on to say that the German soldiers would be scared to death whenever they heard bagpipes.

If he found there was cause to fire Atkinson, doesn’t that make Atkinson potentially criminally liable and (with all of the inside info he has) a risk of revealing what he knows to avoid criminal liability. And firing Atkinson would eliminate a high ranking IC person with Obama loyalty who would no longer be able to monitor what’s going on in his neck of the IC for the cabal. And would open his position to a Trump loyalist.

If the DOJ-NSD FISA abuse and/or FARA corruption were ever to reach sunlight, Atkinson -as the lawyer for the process- would be under a lot of scrutiny for his involvement. Yes, that gives current ICIG Michael Atkinson a strong and corrupt motive to participate with the Lawfare objective.

  38. Echo Bravo says:

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Some thoughts on the overall scheme: this is incredibly risky for the Democrats for several reasons. First, the big club (in my humble opinion) prefers Biden over Warren for the following:

    1. Many of his gaffes can be spun as attributed to his age vs. malice or true flip flopping, which might endear him to boomer union democrats who would otherwise likely vote Trump.
    2. He’s controllable, as opposed to Warren, which means that Wall St. has nothing to fear, in contrast to Warren who’s flipped and flopped from semi-populism (see her book, The Two Income Trap, particularly the sections discussing single parenthood. Tucker Carlson had an excellent segment on this) to the left side of of socialism (if that actually exists). He’ll also run with whomever they decide should be VP as opposed to Warren who’ll likely make her own decision, in order to quell dissonance from the Bernie Bro’s who’ll vote for her, disgust notwithstanding. (See the WFP endorsement brouhaha)
    3. His baggage represents leverage, whereas Warren just has her ridiculous “Native American” faux status (which she used for actual material gain), and which Trump will constantly beat her over the head with handily.

The risks to the Democrats for opening this can of worms are immense:
    1. Bidens baggage, now in the public conscience, are beginning to weigh on his polls.
    2. Any impeachment hearings will likely include testimony damaging to both Biden, but more importantly, former Obama administration officials who approved the deals and ignored the conflicts of interest.
    3. Trump could potentially trump TehResistance “whistleblower” by releasing portions of the call transcript.
    4. The entire NSC and DOS staff is now officially suspect by Trump, which means both purges and marginalization for TehResistance within both orgs. Which will ultimately seriously circumscribe Lawfare’s eyes and ears within the administration.
    5. If the worst were to come to pass, and Trump were to be impeached(Heaven Forfend), the galvanizing of the base would be like nothing the Democrats have ever seen. Impeachment already isn’t popular, except among a rather small sliver of the Democrats more extreme base. Following through would be the ultimate Gordian’s Knot for Pelosi and Co. Likely resulting in losing the 2020 House.

TL; SR: This long shot by the Lawfare fellow travelers has a high probability of blowback, resulting in serious damage to the overall Democratic strategy on multiple fronts.

    How about this scenario?

Biden was always running only to take the hit for the Ukrainian scandal. He needed to be front runner and up in the polls to make any attempt to accuse him for Ukraine look like a political hit job.

The problem was that we had peak Biden too early because they couldn’t keep him on script. This Trump story was all set up so they decided to run with it early while they could still claim Biden was the front runner. They’re counting on the MSM to carry the ball, but either the whistle blower was a Judas goat who got them to trigger too early or they are so desperate they had to take anything they could get and Schiff drew short straw.

For some reason I don’t think the dems want Warren, either, but taking Warren out would look like a hit job from Biden and they have to keep the base locked. Another reason, if so, to pull Biden when the timing is best. Regardless of who the dems take out, it has to look like it’s Trump’s doing.

Sundance, who the heck in Trump DOJ allowed Michael Atkinson to become/remain an IG!? If he was placed there during the transition, why didn’t even one of the white hats make sure that he needed to be removed?!

I just saw a news clip of SchiffforBrains saying that he has been very reluctant to go down the impeachment path. How in the hell does he say that lie with a straight face? Does he really think anyone believes that statement?

A couple months ago I posted about my non political brother that, while conservative by nature, is too busy with his own life, job, house and family to pay much attention to politics. He has been mostly unaware of the coup attempt, He isnt any longer because of these new allegations. He is fully awake. For the first time, when I started talking politics, he didnt tell me that he didnt want to hear it.

That is the measure of this Ukraine crap. The traitorous filth are waking more of the non political people up to their nefarious plot to overthrow a duly elected President, and to utterly destroy he and his family forever through lies and subterfuge.

The whistleblower is get rid of corrupt Biden, actually,

This has all the signs of evil Lawfare strategy. I think Sundance is right, but this attempt is also designed to hold the fort against the broader role Ukraine played with Obama and the Dims on political espionage. That’s a deep well of corruption that goes back to their former leadership and Clinton/Biden/Obama. This is a major offensive to blunt the President and protect Joe. Look at today’s Fox News item, crafted like news but really an opinion piece by a Dem operative. She claims President Trumps level of dislike is ultra high via a BS poll by media. She links this to the Ukraine call. Unreal….

Moriarty proposes, Holmes disposes: Quantum-physical correlation-correspondence is always preferable to politicians’ legal-schmegal entrapment gavotte. In phase-space, probability structures a complex/virtual (“imaginary”) spectrum of outcomes which magically reduce to Time as exponential unit-one.

In context, where subjects transpose instantaneously from A to B without syllogistic “if this, then that” –that is, absent linear causation– spatio-temporal position via time-duration/interval reduces solely to energy coordinates as positive or negative exponents/roots, proportional functions of Probability Constant 1 : 1. Because the immutable Past is dead-and-gone, while Future contingencies lie wholly in potentiam, only the cosmos’ eternal, universal Present has any material/physical (“real”) existence.

So… Schiff et al. take their text from Planck: Transposing from A to B, anything Rats’ partisan hate-object Pres. Trump does or says relates to some hoicked-up “obstruction” premise via shifting space/time energy coordinates (Oyez!), establishing that, in fact, Schiff & Co. are there already. Which, of course, they are.

The IC IG Atkinson September 9th letter to Congressmen Schiff/Nunes is a non-statutory “whistleblower complaint” against the Acting DNI Maguire, because of the Acting DNI’s failure to forward to Congress a different whistleblower complaint regarding the classified communications of President Trump. IMO, the entire Intelligence Community statutory structure needs overhaul. IC IG Atkinson’s 9/9 letter blows right by the clause of the statute that requires continued non-disclosure of the classified information to Congress if it includes “differences of opinion over public policy matters.” See, page 1 at footnote 2 of the Atkinson-Schiff/Nunes letter of 9/9/2019. (Posted by Sundance at top of this thread)

These IC statutes should protect the US President and the Homeland from malign attack by foreign military adversaries (Al Queda, etc.). The Lawfare allies in the US Government, IMO, are using these public laws to wage asymmetric political activity against the US President during the Constitutional four year term of office.

    Their allegations:

    By: Mary Anne Marsh

“Clearly Trump’s reelection is in trouble. And it may explain why Trump allegedly sought foreign assistance against Joe Biden, the front-runner in the crowded Democratic primary field. That should concern every American.

It has been widely reported that Trump asked the newly elected president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, eight times in a July phone call to investigate whether Biden, while vice president, acted improperly in pressuring the resignation of a Ukraine prosecutor whose office was investigating a company that employed Biden’s son. Trump denies these allegations and the Ukrainian foreign minister said Saturday, ‘I know what the conversation was about and I think there was no pressure.’

It was also reported that Trump threatened to withhold $250 million in military aid from Ukraine if they didn’t cooperate. That money was released this month.

Furthermore, Trump insisted that Ukraine work on the matter with his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, not official representatives of the U.S. government.

However, if these reports are true, a request to benefit Trump’s political prospects, rather than United States or its national security, is illegal.”

On what basis, I wonder, does she make the assertion that “Trump’s re-election is in trouble”, she even adds the word “clearly”, but never gives an example of how it is clear. Looks like your typical progressives manipulation, obfuscation, and prevarication.

We will only see more and more of this in the days ahead of 2020 election.

She makes the assertion on the same basis used for every other false assertion made about President Trump. That basis is – no factual basis, other than bald faced lies told with confidence that most MSM news consumers are sufficiently brainwashed and too busy and unaware to look any further and discover the truth.

Mary Ann Marsh is just another one of those propaganda mouth-pieces: “Clearly Trump’s reelection is in trouble. And it may explain why Trump allegedly sought foreign assistance against Joe Biden, the front-runner…” blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada.

More likely VSPGPDJT is gaining momentum and that explains why the propaganda machine and the Dims (sorry for repeating myself) keeps saying shirt like that and why Joe Biden is constantly broadcast as the front-runner leading the polls.
