Trial Balloon – Sara Carter and Dan Bongino Discuss The Steele Dossier and The DOJ/FBI FISA Abuse…

Dan Bongino does a great job in this interview. Sara Carter, plays the role of controlled opposition.  Carter shiftily helps Hillary Clinton deal with her “Dossier Problem“.

Unfortunately, but not unpredictably, Sara Carter begins deploying deep state ‘countermeasures’ from her ‘sources’ that are telling her Fusion GPS, Christopher Steele and Hillary Clinton was hoodwinked by a comprehensive Russian disinformation campaign; carried out by professional Russian intelligence agents; who duped the Clinton Campaign into THINKING Trump was a proxy political agent of Russia.

Ergo,… the ever patriotic Clinton campaign had no other option, except to do their civic  duty, and inform the FBI of the Russian claims… and that led to the entire FBI operation investigating candidate Donald Trump.   Thankfully, Donald Trump wasn’t a Russian spy.

Well, there’s the trial balloon narrative from those at risk within the Deep State Clinton group, and there’s Sara Carter testing it out for them:

Why does the DOJ leak to Sara Carter?  Remember the text messages leak?

We’re all thinking that she’s a deep state puppet… but the truth could be that they got to her recently. I mean this is the CIA or FBI we’re talking about, they could make any of us toe the line if they wanted to. Wouldn’t be the first time, won’t be the last.

Does it matter if Clinton was “duped”? That may provide cover for her activities (but only as far as the Dossier is concerned) but it doesn’t cover those who used unverified claims or gossip disguised as information to subvert the flawed process of FISA to obtain permission to spy on American citizens.

This is so much fantasy that it defies belief. Do they really think we’ll fall for that? Of the woman, family and associates known for double underhanded dealings for fun and profit?

The woman is a pathological liar. And her sense of patriotism is surely nonexistent.

      • Hillary was duped by Russians running a counterintelligence operation? More BS blaming the Russians!!! The Obama Administration, FBI, DOJ-NSD, CIA, NSA, DNI, the DNC and Hillary’s campaign DID THIS, not the damn Russians! I’ll bet Russian President Putin is sick of this nonsense. I know I sure am!

Hillary’s campaign and the DNC paid tens of millions of dollars thru their law firm for the dossier months AFTER Fusion GPS was given access by the FBI to raw FISA data collections? After Fusion GPS was permitted to query this data, utilized the “about query” searches?

The Democrats have been engaged in duping us all for decades! Russian counterintelligence operation, my A$$ This trial balloon won’t fly!

Silly Sara continues: “…to put in false information”.

Jesse: “So we either got duped by the Russians or Hillary paid for the duping herself and…” — Sara interrupts “and unknowingly, yeah!” — Jesse continues: “…either way it’s completely embarrassing and has led to a lot of these investigations.”

Andrew C. McCarthy floated the Russian Disinformation Hypothesis almost a month ago:

“The second reason to hope the dossier was not used [for a FISA warrant] is more alarming. If the FBI and Justice Department relied on it, this would very likely mean that they fell victim to an influence operation, based on false information, by Russian intelligence services. Steele’s sources are unidentified Russians, at least some of whom knew Steele to be a spy for hire. It is possible, if not likely, that these Russians fed Steele false information in order to see if Western intelligence services would bite and, if the Kremlin got lucky, to sow discord and chaos into the American political system.”

I’ve been floating the Russian disinformation hypothesis since last year. Unfortunately I don’t have a “blog” to do it so no one cares. Everyone poo poo’ed my idea, but now it looks like the MSM is on board.

It’s the only thing that ever made sense to me. I never believed Trump was a Russian, but I never believed that the Dems invented the whole story either. I knew, as is almost always the case in life, that the truth was somewhere in the middle.

However, just because the Dems didn’t “invent” it doesn’t mean there weren’t many crimes committed by them falling for it and using it to obtain FISA warrants. Their hatred of Trump was so intense that they suffered from confirmation bias in that they couldn’t look at the “Russia” evidence objectively. If a real intelligence analyst on the inside really studied all the intel reports, interviewed people, and used some logic, they would come to the same conclusion as I did.

Perhaps there were some people on the inside who *did* come to this conclusion, but Clapper and Brennan were so blinded by Trump hatred that they “edited” the report to fit their narrative. I think Clapper and Brennan know what happened, but they didn’t care. They were going to use Russia’s disinformation efforts to run a disinformation campaign of their own. There’s little risk in that because if anyone questions their conclusions they can always argue “Well we did the best we could with the information we had.”.

And of course, Hillary/Fusion were all too happy to help in that effort. That’s where people like Page (CIA) and George P. (Fusion) come into play. They were sent to monitor and/or entrap the Trump campaign. Page was sent as a co-intel agent just to monitor and George P. was either an FBI or Fusion plant meant to try and entrap Trump’s people into “meeting with Russians.”

We just got played by Putin and it was brilliant on his end. He has totally dragged our government to a halt by doing nothing but spreading rumors. Very little investment for a huge pay-off. The American MSM did the bidding of Russia without realizing it. Sad!

      • Never Say Anything says:

No one is arguing that Clinton was “unknowing.” I think we’re arguing that they didn’t *care* one way or the other what was true or wasn’t true- they just wanted to smear Trump. So they hired a political operative firm in D.C. to do it for them.

Sometime in or around April, Fusion hires Inspector Clouseau (Chris Steele) to go to Russia and get the word on the street. Fusion didn’t care whether the Russians were telling the truth – they just ran with it and spread it to the media ASAP. Glenn Simpson admitted he made no attempts whatsoever to verify Steele’s memos.

At some point Steele meets an FBI man in Rome and hands him the dossier. The FBI scoffed at it and never reported back. Steele got angry that the Feds weren’t acting (according to Simpson) so he said “screw it” and just continued on with his “investigation.” This time Steele would go to the media and not the FBI.

At some point the FBI’s incredulity changed. Evidently the top brass at the FBI (who are all partisan hacks) got wind of the dossier and decided to “take it seriously” (could it be that the election was getting close? No way!) By July/August, the the FBI’s collusion with Steele begun and this is the very month Strzok bragged about his insurance policy.

Since the FBI had zero evidence (and they knew it) of Trump being a Russian agent, they decided to either collude with Fusion or “look the other way” as Fusion fabricated evidence and attempted to entrap Don, Jr. at Trump tower. We know this for a FACT at this point. The Trump tower meeting was a setup – zero doubt about it now. Simpson met with the Russian attendees both the day before and the day after those same Russians went to Trump tower. (Simpson actually claimed in his testimony it was sheer coincidence. lulz).

If you will recall, Don, Jr. said he was very confused by the whole meeting. Don, Jr. admits he wanted to hear dirt on Hillary but the Russian lady kept talking about the Magnitsky Act and Russian orphans. Junior was like “WTF is this about” and shut the meeting down after about 20 minutes.

(As a side note: I submit for your perusal the hypothesis that poor Veselnitskaya didn’t KNOW that Don expected dirt – I think Fusion used her without her knowledge. Why do I say that? Because Veselnitskaya was already working on the Magnitsky Act and the Prevezon case. It’s feasible that Simpson merely tricked her into thinking she really was going to talk to Junior about Russian adoptions. Not saying this is right, but it’s something to consider).

In any case, that meeting is all Fusion needed. They never intended to give dirt because they were *working* for Hillary. But at this point, in their minds, they had verifiable proof that “Russia” was meeting with Don, Jr. in Trump tower. Wham, bam, we got means, motive and opportunity, boys. We got ’em now, right? Wrong.

Now their whole plan has unraveled and they’ve been found out. The Storm is coming and some heads are about to roll. I hope Simpson and Steele (and their collaborators inside the FBI) saved some of that Hillary money for good attorneys.

      (Its lame, it’s scripted, but)

it shows satellite images of odd looking things on earth surface and then goes into the reconstruction of showing how many experts gave an opinion of what it was. Sarah Carter was introduced as some govmt type expert who reviewed satellite photos officially for national security.

Hard to say if she actually did do that sort of thing for a living. Work for some National Security Organization (IC.)

After reading your comment, I was curious so I looked up her on Linked-In.

        You can that here:

Looks like she worked as a War Correspondent in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Middle East…from 2007 to 2013.
First with The Washington Times, then with Washington Examiner.

So maybe that’s one of the things she did in that period — review satellite images.

After that, she was with The Blaze for 2 yrs, then in 2015 went back to the Mid East for a year, doing correspondent work.

I’ve watched that ‘What On Earth’ show too, so I know which one you’re talking about.

No, Hillary’s team just jumped on the Russia rumors that were already out there. Their goal wasn’t the truth, but a specified outcome. If they could make it seem there really *was* something to the bogus Trump/Russia connection, all the better. That’s where Steele comes in. He goes to Russia, listens to a bunch of disinformation from Russian actors then writes it as if it’s truth. The Russians KNEW what he was doing and why and they were happy to play along.

Then the Russian lawyer comes along. She had already been working with Fusion on the Matnitsky Act (public record) and Glenn Simpson had the idea to send her to Trump Tower to entrap Don, Jr. Remember, Fusion is a political smear organization for hire – there’s lots of them in D.C. Their job isn’t the “truth” but to push a narrative and spread it in the media.

TL;DR – Russia was real at first – they really were screwing around. Hillary hears the rumors and hires Fusion. Fusion knows their clients want results, so they begin fabricating evidence. At some point they share it with the FBI and the anti-Trump FBI begins colluding with Fusion (this is probably where the serious crimes occurred). I hope Congres/DoJ get to the bottom of the FBI/Fusion connection.

      • Kaco says:

Sorry, even if Steele didn’t write the damn thing himself, and he went to Russia, they knew darn well what they were doing, didn’t care it told a ridiculous “golden showers” account, they probably laughed and said, what the heck, keep it in!

It ain’t “The Russians”. It’s ALL them! Orchestrating this whole set up to make it seem legit and it’s the farthest from it. Their whole operation was NOT legit as they concocted it themselves, with or without the Russians’ help.

Before I read yrs above, I noted on pg 1 of the comments that there are various American spellings of words in the “Steele” Dossier, such as behavior, focused, targeting, organization, organized, favor. And in other places in the Dossier the same words are spelled the British way: organised, organisation, favours.

This would indicate it was written by American(s) trying to impersonate Brits or partly written by Americans.

          • V says:

Even mixed American and British spellings on the same page. E.g., pg 5 has American spellings “targeting” and “organization” BUT ALSO British spelling “favours.”

        • Never Say Anything says:

Intelligence reports were already coming in 2015 that Russians were trying to influence candidates, but all of it stayed locked away tightly inside foreign intel agencies. I don’t think anyone on the inside knew exactly what the Russians were planning at the time. It was more of a “wait and see” approach.

Then it started making it’s way to the media slowly (especially after the DNC hack became public) and was sort of simmering there for a while. People in the public were just now hearing about Russia and Trump was making jokes on the trail about it. Eventually Hillary/Fusion picked up on it and decided to use the Trump/Russia narrative as a campaign strategy.

Obama and his team inside the west wing (and probably the FBI as well) were using the NSA to unmask Trump’s people under 702 and catching them “incidentally” in foreign collection (Samantha Power made 300+ requests BY HERSELF in 2016). They were *already* doing this before the primaries were even over. Mike Rogers at NSA hears about it in April, reviews the requests, and says “Shit, I have got to go to the FISC to self report these violations”. The FISA court agreed with Rogers that it was a major issue and completely shut down 702 (17) for a period of months. The secret documents of the FISA proceedings were released under FOIA in 2017 and they showed that the FBI were requesting raw NSA intercepts and handing them off to “third parties.” Rogers goes back to the court in October and says his technical solution (to basically block the bad actors in the FBI) wasn’t working and he needs time to come up with something.

The next month, Rogers meets with Trump at Trump Tower and the very next day Trump leaves Trump tower and moves all of his operations to NJ (coincidence, I am sure). Clapper is furious and tells Obama that Rogers has to go.

Starting around July, the FBI was pursing their own bogus FISA warrants to tap individual people inside the U.S. (this would allow them to collect ALL communications instead of relying on “about queries” which were mostly gossip overseas ABOUT Trump). It was after the FBI investigation started that all the leaking began – the NYT, Wapo, BBC (and others) began reporting on “wiretaps.” These leaks really picked up in December/January. The thing is, though, I don’t think the NYT understood exactly the significance of it. Their goal of course, was to push Trump/Russia by saying “See we have proof from wiretaps.” What they didn’t realize is that their admission of “wiretaps” made a lot of people say “Wait a minute, one president was wiretapping the transition of the incoming president-elect? WTF is this?” (No one at the NYT seemed to find it odd that one president was wire-tapping the incoming president. If Obama was doing it, it must be OK). In any case, it was March or so that Republicans in Congress began smelling something fishy with this whole wiretapping issue and suddenly the Dems shut down all the public Congressional hearings. Weird, huh? All future hearings (to this day) have been behind closed doors. The Dems didn’t want the public to see Republicans grilling the intelligence community about illegal wiretaps. No, the Dems wanted to pontificate from the podium about Stone and Page and when the Republicans wouldn’t go along, the Dems shut down all public hearings.

An interesting note about the wiretap reporting in the MSM: We later learned that all of these “incriminating” wiretaps they were reporting on (by their own admission) involved Russians talking to OTHER RUSSIANS. No one bothered to ask the obvious question (except me, of course): What if this is all disinformation by the Russians? Why are we believing it? The Russians saw with their own eyes how much of a shit show our media had become, how divided the public was over Trump, and they loved every minute of it. If they could sew more division and mistrust among the public (and the Dems), then mission accomplished! They don’t *need* to “own” a candidate when they have the insane left-wing media (and their crazy Dem cohorts in Congress) to do the work for them.

Hannity manages to slip in some small kernels of Truth in his shows…in spite of his handlers.

Hannity is Not a Republican. Never has been.
So I will continue to watch him.
I think he’s doing what he can to help, but he’s under pressure to tow the line or get fired.

He has on really smart, thoughtful people like Peter Schweitzer and then only asks him one question, and interrupts his answer. And he’s gotten very loud lately, like by talking louder and sterner he will be taken more seriously.

And he is at least two days behind on what is going on. He just bugs me.

I agree with all of that.
          But…who else have we got?

We’ve got internet sources, yes…but who else is on tv that is even tepidly, remotely, attempting to tell the truth?

There are a few on Fox, like Tucker, Hannity, Ingraham, Dobbs…and that’s it.

I just like to see for myself what they’re managing to get on the air.

And I think that Hannity tries to spread out a story over as many shows as he can…like Rush does.
          That’s why he interrupts people.
          I don’t like it.
But as I said, who else have we got.

So this is the masquerade or false-flag fairytale that it was McCain who provided the dossier to FBI, as if otherwise they wouldn’t have known about it? In a nutshell?

No one is saying McCain is the first person to hand the dossier to the FBI. Steele is the first one to do that himself (he met an FBI agent in Rome).

As for McCain, Glenn Simpson testified that McCain got the dossier at a security conference in Halifax. Simpson claims that McCain just “happened” to be discussing rumors about the dossier with a British guy named Sir Andrew Wood when someone else came along (Simpson refused to name him) and told him where to get a copy. McCain then sent his aide (Kramer) to contact Steele directly, which Kramer did. Steele ended up meeting with Kramer at some point and handed him a copy, which ended up back on McCain’s desk. It was then that McCain contacted people in the FBI for an explanation. I think this story is probably mostly correct.

But, here’s the kicker. Guess who else was on the guest list of that conference? A Russian named Akhmetshin. Who is he? Oh, you guessed it, he worked with FusionGPS and has close intelligence ties to the Kremlin. And if that isn’t enough, he is the same man that accompanied Veselnitskaya (lady lawyer) to Trump Tower in an attempt to entrap Don, Jr. This is also the same man (along with Veselnitskaya) that Simpson had dinner with on the 8th and the 10th (the day before and the day after the Trump tower encounter). Simpson admits all of this, but denies talking with them about the Trump meeting at the dinners (no one on earth believes this).

And yet, we were led to believe she is the “world’s smartest woman” and was a genius Secretary of State. The shrieking harridan who lied repeatedly, the feminist who could only get ahead riding the coattails of her impeached, disbarred husband and sucking up to the even stupider Obama, the mentally unstable harpie who drowns her sorrows in vats of vodka that would make Maureen Dowd jealous, the physically decrepit bag lady who cannot manage stairs and who was filmed being thrown into a van like a piece of cheap luggage and again having brain freezes and seizures — yes, this Yale-educated bitch was a dupe of foreign powers.

Even if that is true, and Hillary was a dupe of the Russians (despite her reset button and her vast resources as Secretary of State), why on earth would we want such a gullible, laughable idiot as President?

This interview segment is pretty effete. Carter’s wide-eyed suppositions based on ‘my sources tell me’ won’t fly anymore. Name names or keep quiet.

The angle that ‘everybody’ was duped won’t fly either. Simpson’s interview is out there where he spends in inordinate amount of time vouching for his ‘boy scout’ MI6 buddy, Steele and his credibility and Russian credentials.

I thought that line of reasoning risible.

I said before when Carter was suddenly “breaking” other – usually disparate stories – that Sara isn’t the earnest patriot she’s credited with being. Something with her just doesn’t sit right with me and never has.

With the recent story and goofy Hannity’s praise for her I thought I might have been wrong (I do think he’s a good guy even if goofy). Thanks for clarifying. My gut instinct was right.

Look back at her stories and how she kept getting breaking stories but I’m totally different topics. So rare it was a clue something was off. Maybe there’s more to the pattern. I’d think so.

This could have worked on the surface ” Christopher Steele and Hillary Clinton was hoodwinked by a comprehensive Russian disinformation campaign; carried out by professional Russian intelligence agents; who duped the Clinton Campaign into THINKING Trump was a proxy political agent of Russia.”

But for me it falls apart, when you realize that experienced FBI and CIA people were looking at this same material. If they believe the material was suspect then they voiced their concerns or deliberately allowed the corrupt material to form the foundation of the Dossier.

Well, it would make sense that the Russians would want Hillary “Uranium One, Reset Button” Clinton to win the election, so why not send them fake info to use against a pro-American person like DJT? My little project – where are the logic failures in this story?

**Did Obama read the documents and call on John Brennan (CIA Director)to start spying on Trumps Campaign, possibly to protect Hillary Clinton?

Early last August, an envelope with extraordinary handling restrictions arrived at the White House. Sent by courier from the CIA, it carried “eyes only” instructions that its contents be shown to just four people: President Barack Obama and three senior aides.

**Was this the point were spying on trump’s campaign through GCHQ started?

“According to one account, GCHQ’s then head, Robert Hannigan, passed material in summer 2016 to the CIA chief, John Brennan. The matter was deemed so sensitive it was handled at “director level”. After an initially slow start, Brennan used GCHQ information and intelligence from other partners to launch a major inter-agency investigation.”

AIM has confirmed Judge Napolitano’s account from one of his three sources and found other confirmation of the likely procedure used, from a former NSA/CIA contractor. Judge Napolitano was suspended by Fox News for a week for revealing the GCHQ spying on Trump, but returned saying he and his sources stood by what he had reported.

    Thank You!

The U.S. Deep State coordinated with the BRITISH Deep State to destroy Donald Trump. (The politically correct Brits hate Trump because of his Brexit support, Islamic immigration comments, and, most importantly, Trump’s openness to dialogue with Putin).

The Brits cooked up the Steele Dossier.

The Brits bamboozled Sen. McCain to hand carry their dirty dossier to FBI headquarters.

When Trump won the Brits knew they were f–ked. (British GCHQ Head Robert Harrigan abruptly resigned three days after Trump’s inauguration.)

Now the Brits are desperate. I am afraid they will stop at NOTHING to divert attention away from the Steele Dossier Scandal. NOTHING.

Whatever the world record is for fake news, the Brits are about to shatter it – all to divert American attention away. Fasten your seat belts, Jan-Mar 2018.
