♦ Because it is impossible for voters to nominate Ted Cruz, effective today the #NeverTrump campaign is rebranded: “the #NeverVoters campaign”.   Senator Cruz’s only hope for the republican presidential nomination is to win by delegate scheme and trickery, at a contested convention, within the delegate selection process.
♦ 8.8 Million voters have voted for Donald trump so far.  6.4 million for Ted Cruz.  Senator Ted Cruz has lost the majority voting race (link), and is currently behind Trump by 2.4 million voters.  This disparity will only continue to grow.
Looking Forward – Next week, April 26th, the race remains in the North East with primary contests in:

Maryland Poll HERE Pennsylvania Poll HERE
Pennsylvania is a little complex with unbound delegates (more on that later). However, New Jersey (51 delegates, winner take all) is also positioned to be an overwhelming Trump Victory – Poll HERE and California (172, winner take all, by state/district) looks increasingly positive for Team Trump.
In addition, in each of the recent polls Senator Ted Cruz continues to see his overall approval ratings shrink drastically.
Cruz is now viewed as the least favorable of the remaining three candidates and his “Authenticity”, as measured by pollsters, continues to sink.
This downward trend for Cruz has been ongoing for the past several weeks and shows up in all current poll data – SEE HERE.  This explains that weird speech Cruz gave last night in Philadelphia where he appeared to draw himself as similar to Bernie Sanders.
