Day #3: One thing is certain, if there’s any validity to this story it’s almost a guarantee the professional political apparatus of both parties – and the party opposition researchers, both sides – are fully aware of it.

Again, if “The Thing” is valid, the GOPe operatives (Rove Inc.) find value for use at/near a contested convention, by design or by opportunism. Meanwhile, the DEM operatives find value for use in a General Election.

Dem operatives never use delicious opposition research in primary races – they sit in wait for use when facing their opponent. That is why everyone should welcome a thorough vetting of their candidate in a primary. There is nothing to fear from sunlight, only shadows.

ac doomsday 2One of the identified images from the National Enquirer presentation is Amanda Carpenter.

Mrs. Carpenter has previously arranged for the “blacklisting” of anyone who does not support Ted Cruz. Together with other campaign affiliates Carpenter has constructed a target list.

Mrs. Carpenter, a CNN contributor and former communications director for Ted Cruz has deferred all questions to her attorney.

Mrs. Carpenters history of close association with Senator Ted Cruz is now facing some serious social media questioning. It appears the working relationship between Mrs. Carpenter and Senator Cruz was quite warm.

The often brutal world of Twitter is fully engaged in vetting “The Thing” through the use of a twitter hashtag #CruzSexScandal.

When cast against the backdrop of multiple media outlets involvement and knowledge, the friendly relationship between Senator Cruz and his female campaign staff represents a potentially very bad optic. (Note all links remain active for citation as of this post):

Many people are unfortunately speculating the jacket missing from Senator Cruz is the jacket worn by communications director Amanda Carpenter. Based on the video from Fox News it appears both Ms. Carpenter and Mr. Cruz were together in Washington DC., Tuesday April 1st 2014. It appears they were each proud of their matching temporary tattoos.

The decision by Amanda Carpenter and Senator Cruz to get tattoos together is cutesy, but also innocuous. Perhaps the entire staff was together on Tuesday April 1st in Washington DC having fun and teambuilding.

Senator Ted Cruz being on Fox News broadcast from Washington DC while Communications Director Amanda Carpenter was tweeting screen shots of the television appearance is also innocuous. It is impossible to tell the type of television being displayed.

Amanda Carpenter wearing Ted Cruz’s jacket in the bathroom is also innocuous. Perhaps she was just cold and he was being chivalrous.

There is also no need to jump to the conclusion that Amanda Carpenter was wearing the jacket to disguise the tattoo from onlookers who might be knowledgeable of the same on her boss, Senator Ted Cruz.

The fact Ms. Carpenter tweeted from DC early in the morning about her boss being in a fun mood can also be innocuous. “Fun mood” can just as easily be referencing the fun they had applying tattoos to each other. There’s no reason to believe Mr. Cruz’s wife didn’t participate and get one too.

The fact Ms. Carpenter could not have applied the tattoo to herself in that area does not mean Senator Cruz did; nor does it mean she was partially disrobed during the application. Both can be innocuous. Mrs. Heidi Cruz may have applied it; and even if Senator Ted Cruz applied it – that doesn’t mean anything else happened.

It is also entirely possible that it’s customary Washington DC decorum for Senators to take non-spouse friends and staffers to hotels in/around Washington DC for Fun Mood Christian teambuilding and bible study.

(Daily Beast) […] “That source said an operative allied with Marco Rubio—but not associated with his official campaign—showed the publication a compilation video of Cruz and a woman other than his wife coming out of the Capitol Grille restaurant and a hotel on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But the outlet opted not to report on the video.” (link)
