Fox News’ primary agenda driver, Rupert Murdoch, was conspicuously absent from commentary following the last GOP debate, staged cage fight. It was the only debate where Murdoch did not announce Marco Rubio the winner.
A few days later the New York Times embarrassed Fox News by revealing the corporate media agenda, including secret meetings with DC politicians and media, to advance Marco Rubio’s gang-of-eight proposals and benefit their ideological immigration agenda (outlined below).
Both owner Rupert Murdoch and Fox executive President Roger Ailes have been positioning the network to do as much damage to Rubio’s opponent Donald Trump as possible for the past 8 months. Fox News political executive director, Bill Sammons, is the father of Marco Rubio’s national spokesperson, Brooke Sammon. The agenda has been transparent from the outset.
However, today a report surfaces where Roger Ailes is reportedly reconsidering the media conglomerate’s position.
[…] According to three Fox sources, Fox chief Roger Ailes has told people he’s lost confidence in Rubio’s ability to win (link).
NOT SO FAST – The timing, just hours before the network broadcasts yet another attack debate favorable to Rubio, reeks of a corporate entity trying to position themselves with plausible deniability; and isolate themselves from the growing backlash of an audience who have woken up to the manipulative intents of the network.
The owner of Fox News, Rupert Murdoch has been a staunch advocate for Marco Rubio for several years. Murdoch leveraged his entire news apparatus, and his most important and visible investment, Megyn Kelly, to advocate on behalf of the comprehensive immigration tool.
Not coincidentally, Megyn Kelly signed a book deal with another of Ruperts’ business interests, Harper Collins books. Ms. Kelly’s book deal is worth somewhere north of $5 million, and many observers are putting the deal around $10 million. Quite a beneficial backdoor payday for Ms. Kelly from her boss, Rupert Murdoch.
However, Murdoch’s manipulative agenda is more visibly found in his advocacy for Senator Marco Rubio. Observers will note almost no debate discussion on the advocacy of Rubio for the Trans-Pacific trade deal (TPP), or comprehensive immigration reform. However, it should not come as a surprise, the head of Fox News even structured media coverage on behalf of Rubio during the Gang-of-Eight legislative fiasco in 2013.
Mr. Murdoch, who is also leading the executive decision-making on Fox programming, also contracts pollster Frank Luntz to appear on Fox News broadcasting during the 2016 election cycle.

The secretive afternoon gathering in Ailes’s conference room is attended by about a half-dozen of the network’s most senior lieutenants. Frank Luntz has sub-contracts with Marco Rubio and a long-term relationship with Rubio going back to the Freshman Senator’s time in the Florida Legislature. Rubio alone has paid Luntz $350,000+

The executive in charge of Fox News debate programming, debate questioning and debate structure is Bill Sammon. (circled below)
The Washington Post has an outline describing how Bill Sammon runs the entire show at Fox regarding debates; and how he is the person who Chris Stirewalt, Megyn Kelly, Chris Wallace and Brett Baier directly report to for all debate issues, construction, and question organization.
In essence, Bill Sammon runs the show.
Bill Sammon’s daughter is Brooke Sammon who is the press secretary for Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign.
A generally interested observer would consider this a conflict of interest worthy of full disclosure. However, none of the above have ever been publicly disclosed prior to the media presentation by any Fox entity.
Additionally, it has now surfaced what approach Megyn Kelly was going to take when questioning Donald Trump at the Fox News debate he skipped prior to the Iowa Caucus.
During a television interview with Steven Colbert Kelly shared:
“[Trump] recently said that his supporters are so devoted to him that they could go in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and he wouldn’t lose a single voter. In response to which, I was going to ask him, ‘Were you talking about me?'”
During the Fox Business News debate several political junkies noted a rather curious omission: Senator Marco Rubio was never questioned about the 2013 Senate Gang-of-Eight bill and his stance on Comprehensive Immigration Reform. In fact, if you were to review the debate substance you’d note that candidate Rubio wasn’t directly questioned about his immigration positions at all.

It is not disconnected that during the 2013/2014 Gang-of-Eight immigration constructs, Fox News was an active participant in the promotion of the immigration reform proposals. In order to facilitate the congressional immigration intent Fox launched a previously unknown pro-amnesty propaganda blitz to support senate immigration bill.
What follows below is an evidenced expose’ of their agenda.
♦ It was less than a year ago when Mickey Kaus was chastised by Tucker Carlson, a Fox Contributor, for writing an article in the Daily Caller outlining the relationship between Rupert Murdoch, his company Fox News, the talking heads under his control and authority, and Murdoch’s request for pro-amnesty propaganda to be broadcast on the network.
Carlson took down the article from the Daily Caller, and subsequently Mickey Kaus quit in disgust over the agenda-driven editorial decision. Apparently some things are just too sensitive for sunlight and exposure.
What Mickey Kaus outlined was a pattern within Fox to push immigration reform and included a first person excerpt between David Axelrod and Rupert Murdoch:
On page 424 of his recent memoir, Obama’s former top strategist David Axelrod describes running into Fox chieftain (and immigration amnesty supporter) Rupert Murdoch at a dinner in the fall of 2010:
During the dinner, Murdoch, who was seated beside me, insisted that the president had to move on immigration reform. ….
“But the solution has to be comprehensive,” I said. “We can’t just attack a piece of the immigration problem. And you know, there’s one big thing that you can do to help, and that is to keep your cable network from stoking the nativism that keeps us from solving this.” [Emphasis added] (link)
Kaus goes on to outline how Fox News followed the plan and conspicuously avoided any mention of the crafting: “in the spring of 2013 when the “Gang of 8” amnesty bill snuck through the Senate“. Mickey uses a historical timeline, day-by-day story leads, showing how Fox was intentionally NOT COVERING the story (see here).
♦ However, even before Kaus discovered -and outlined- proof of what his research into Fox revealed there was a prior article written by Ryan Lizza in The New Yorker Magazine [June 2013] which was even more revealing:
New Yorker 2013 – […] Fox News has notably changed its tone since the election. A Democratic policy staffer who worked on the issue in 2007 and has helped write the current bill said, “NumbersUSA and FAIR”—two groups that want to dramatically limit immigration—“managed to convince Fox News back then to be their twenty-four-hour news channel of the anti-immigrant point of view. Fox has now totally bought in to the idea that we just need to figure something out.”
Rush Limbaugh, who fiercely opposes the bill, has come to sound resigned. “I don’t know if there’s any stopping this,” he said on January 28th, the day the Gang held the press conference announcing its framework for the legislation. “It’s up to me and Fox News, and I don’t think Fox News is that invested in this.”
McCain told me, “Rupert Murdoch is a strong supporter of immigration reform, and Roger Ailes is, too.” Murdoch is the chairman and C.E.O. of News Corp., which owns Fox, and Ailes is Fox News’s president.
McCain said that he, Graham, Rubio, and others also have talked privately to top hosts at Fox, including Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Neil Cavuto, who are now relatively sympathetic to the Gang’s proposed bill. Hannity voiced support for a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, which he previously dismissed as “amnesty,” on the day after the 2012 election. “God bless Fox,” Graham said. “Last time, it was ‘amnesty’ every fifteen seconds.” He said that the change was important for his reelection, because “eighty per cent of people in my primary get their news from Fox.” He added that the network has “allowed critics to come forward, but it’s been so much better.” (link)
So there’s a trio of GOPe Republicans in the so-called Gang of Eight huddled with leading figures at Fox News Channel. A few days later Bill O’Reilly interviews Marco Rubio and urges the Senator to come to him if anyone opposes the proposal.
♦ As you watch this segment in retrospect, with the information you now possess, consider that both Bill O’Reilly and Marco Rubio have pre-discussed the entire topic and worked out exactly what the framework of questions and answers would be:
Rupert Murdoch, Wall Street, The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the entire GOPe apparatus -including House Speaker Paul Ryan- are 100% behind comprehensive immigration reform to include amnesty.
Now, lets contrast this historic information against the backdrop new information within the republican debates. There is a particular clarity that resonates, no?
Few people know how close we came to seeing this immigration usurpation actually come to fruition as law. Our nation was literally a few hours away from fundamental change.
There is an incredible story to be told of two unheralded heroes named Zach Werrell and Gray Delany, who, together with representative Dave Brat of Virginia, fundamentally saved the construct of the U.S. as we know it. And that is not even the slightest bit of exaggeration. Without them, there wouldn’t even be a Donald Trump campaign today.
The he-said, he-said, between presidential candidates Senator Marco Rubio and Senator Ted Cruz provides an opportunity to highlight just how close passage of Amnesty law was in 2014.
The senate “Gang of Eight” comprehensive immigration reform bill, which included amnesty legislation was not blocked by Ted Cruz nor Marco Rubio – it specifically passed the senate because of them, not despite them.

After the Senate passed the comprehensive immigration reform bill, the activity shifted to the House of Representatives. Paul Ryan was part of the team supporting passage.
Eventually, against ever increasing pressure from President Obama’s bully pulpit, it came to a moment in the House (June 2014) where Speaker John Boehner was going to take up a vote on the Senate Bill.
Speaker Boehner, Paul Ryan and a few other close insiders had been holding secret meetings discussing support for the bill. On Friday June 6th 2014 Boehner recognized there was now enough support for passage – he also knew it was going to be controversial.
Boehner asked Kevin McCarthy (House Majority Whip) to whip the vote and get a confirmed vote count on Monday June 9th 2014. Unbeknownst to both GOP and DEM rank-and-file membership Boehner, Ryan and Eric Cantor already knew they had the votes for passage – the request to McCarthy was merely to confirm.
Speaker John Boehner was planning to schedule the vote for Thursday June 12th or Friday June 13th the consideration on either date circled around political benefit through the media: Was it better to celebrate, if so Thursday -or- was it better to pass and get out of dodge, if so Friday.
So the GOP House Members were officially whipped on Monday June 9th. The results confirmed what John Boehner and Paul Ryan already knew – They had enough votes to pass it.
On Tuesday June 10th Speaker Boehner, Eric Cantor (Majority Leader) and Kevin McCarthy (Majority Whip) had lunch together discussing timing the vote Thursday night or Friday Morning.
However, later that same night the results from the 2014 Virginia primary showed an unknown conservative outsider, Dave Brat, had defeated (primaried) Eric Cantor. At 7:00pm Tuesday night the first word went out that Cantor had lost.
Boehner, McCarthy and Cantor were STUNNED beyond belief.
The next day, Wednesday June 11th, the House of Representatives was also in a state of shock – Almost the entire reason for the defeat was the controversial immigration position of Cantor.
Immediately panicked GOP congresscritters were calling Kevin McCarthy and revoking their previous (2 days earlier) positions of support for the bill. By lunchtime Wednesday June 11th it was obvious the Immigration Bill was NOW DEAD in the House.
That’s how close it was. Literally within hours of a vote for passage.
Amnesty didn’t die because of Senator Ted Cruz or anything he did or didn’t do. The gang of eight bill had already passed the senate.
Amnesty died exclusively because candidate Dave Brat beat House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. Period.

I agree. I read that WaPo article until I could not stomach the INCREDIBLE spin. They are doing MEGA minimization and crash-padding for Her Highness. In particular, they are pumping up the potential damage by Petraeus against all reality (a lot of innuendo and assertion without detail) and avoiding all mention of the likely and obvious extreme damage by Clinton. Yes – this is a big deal. Pagliano obviously knew a LOT, but was a team player and knew that he could go Lois Lerner and walk. But I think the FBI must have convinced him that he didn’t have the guts to go Susan McDougal and ride out a few years in a country club pen. In fact, somebody (or a brush with arkancide) may have convinced him that he would end up like Jim McDougal. “Natural causes.”

I think the WH is biding its time. Hildebeast is accumulating enough delegates (including most of the super delegates) to take the nomination. The Dems want to neutralize Bernie prior to the convention. They will not allow him to be the nominee for obvious reasons. If they indict her now, Bernie will sweep much of the remaining delegates while Crazy Uncle Joe is still mounting his horse to gallop to the rescue. IMO, the goal is to allow her to win the nomination and then pull the rug out from under her before the convention. That will free up her delegates, Bernie will have been neutralized so as not to overly upset his followers and the Dems can then nominate Joe the Joker.
Remember, Obozo wants to remain head of the Dem Party. If the Clintons get back into the WH, even though Hitlery claims she’ll continue his policies, they will assume the reins of the Party and Obozo will be a has been with little DC influence (where he’s said he will remain until his younger daughter is out of high school; she’s only 14). Joe also has said he’ll continue Obeyme’s Path of Destruction, but he only wants 4 years. Then it’s the presumed VP (either Fauxcahontas or another Far Left loon) who will become the presumptive nominee in 2020.

I don’t get why they still migrating to US? Our jobs now moved to Mexico…
I’ve read most of them now immigrating (from MX and further south) have a 3rd grade education, come from tiny little places in the middle of nowhere, and some don’t even speak Spanish – they speak some different dialects. The jobs we’re shipping there are probably too high skilled for them. Plus, if they’re really coming from such isolated places, perhaps they don’t know about the bigger picture of no jobs (although on the other hand, they did find out something to come here illegally…)

Hannity is the only person I’ve seen counter those reports (though I could have missed it from someone else). But it’s really interesting that now Fox is saying they’re “finished” with Rubio: “’We’re finished with Rubio,’ Ailes recently told a Fox host. We can’t do the Rubio thing anymore.’”

I think what’s really happening here is, Rubio was never intended to win the nomination. He was just there so Jeb would have two chances at bringing home Florida’s 99 winner-take-all delegates.
But then Trump jumped in, and made it impossible for Jeb to gain momentum in the way they had planned. They flirted with the idea of advancing Rubio as a result, but he has proven ineffective at stopping the Trump Train.
So, the GOPe and its media arms in Fox News and Salem Radio are withdrawing support from Rubio just before the Florida primary, right when Ted Cruz says he’s going all-in on Florida now. They’re ditching Rubio for good and uniting behind Cruz, just momentarily, to try to keep Trump from getting Florida’s 99 winner-take-all delegates.

Their ultimate goal at this point, with their initial Jeb roadmap in ruins, is to slow down Trump any way they can and force a brokered convention.
I think they would’ve liked to let Romney stay out of the fighting, so he’d be “unsullied” when they made their move to force him on us at the brokered convention. But so many things have been going against them that they’re now forced to bring Romney out to attack Trump.
He’s still their current first choice through a “broken” convention, but they know he might incur too much damage in the process of attacking Trump. Everyone else has, after all.
So, I think they’re now looking at Paul Ryan as a second choice for their “brokered” candidate.

How about TPTB running Hillary against someone they know she can beat. She can’t beat Trump. But she can beat Ted Cruz. Hillary for the uniparty win. Now just get rid of Trump.

I don’t think the GOPe will support Cruz in the long run. I think he was only there to keep some non-approved candidate from winning Texas.
But Jeb failed, and Rubio tried to take Jeb’s place, but he’s failing, too.
Cruz is currently the GOPe’s best hope for slowing Trump down just enough for them to force a brokered convention. That’s why he announced today that he’s going all-in on Florida. There’s no way Rubio can win there. But, if Cruz got all of Rubio’s support, and all of Ben Carson’s support, he just might have a chance of winning Florida. So, Carson has kinda-sorta-but-not-totally dropped out, and Fox News is withdrawing its support from Rubio.

Yep. I started to distrust Cruz several days after he called Mitch McConnell a liar on the floor of the Senate. Several GOPe types came out to slam him for such egregious breach of Senate rules regarding collegiality, and Orrin Hatch, as the Majority Whip, promised severe punishment for Cruz.
What happened to Cruz as a result? Nothing.
I couldn’t help but notice then that Cruz had made his attack on McConnell on a day when McConnell was not there. Had McConnell been present, and been called a liar to his face, yes, he would’ve been forced to respond.
That got me to thinking Cruz must’ve worked it out with McConnell beforehand, and gotten his approval. And McConnell must’ve then contacted Hatch on the down-low and told him to let it go.

I’m wondering if Rubio was part of the plan to begin with. Allegedly, he told Bush he would not run against him, and then… ran against him. Not a big issue, until Trump got in and pounded Bush down. Rubio then started to rise, and only then did the GOP start hedging their bets with him. Once it was obvious Bush was cratering, they jumped ship and built up Rubio. I think Rubio was supposed to take over after Bush did his 8 years. But he jumped the gun, and now the GOP is mad at him and are starting to push Romney because Rubio didnt deliver. When Fox bails on you , you are officially kicked out. Bush can fall back to his money. Rubio doesn’t have that luxury. Rubio HAS to be pissed now that he has been pushed away to let Romney save the day. Good time for a Trump “deal” right now somewhere.

Rubio is a fool. He rode an anti-amnesty tea party wave to the Senate, campaigned against amnesty as a candidate, and then pushed amnesty on us as a Senator. Why? Because after the tea party vote gave him power, he had a sit down with McCain and McConnell who told him what a bright future he would have if he aligned with them. He turned his back on the tea party rubes and embraced his new mentors. He chose the wrong side, plain and simple, but what makes him so stupid is that he was aware of the anti-amnesty sentiment and still thought McCain and McConnell were the guys to go with. Back in 2013, Cruz offered an amendment to a Senate immigration bill that would have stripped out a proposal for a path to citizenship for those currently in the country illegally. But Cruz’s amendment would have purposefully left intact the bill’s provisions to provide legal status for them. So, yes, while we can and should hold those GOPe’ers feet to the fire who voted for this fiasco of a bill, those who voted against it, did they do so out of conviction or fear of losing their job?
Since the bill had enough votes to pass, we’ll never know the answer to that question.

I think that Fox thought they could get away with playing their ‘Throw the grenade’ game and have managed to get caught by the blast themselves. It happens to bomb makers all the time. In their case ratings have taken a $$$ hit.
Worse yet, the more bombs that are thrown at Trump, even the KKK bomb which has always worked in the past, the more he becomes immune. Sort of like becoming immune to snake bite.
In the case of the Wanker Media News smear machine, everyone is onto the game. Even the most gullible. And Rubio now comes across as the ‘All Talk’ politician who insults on cue.
Jigs up. This is not a referendum on DC politicians, it is a referendum on the donors. And bought and paid for Wanker Media.

The only state that was truly odd for someone else to win (because it didn’t agree with the polls at all) was Oklahoma, and I honestly don’t think Oklahomans were focusing on the fabricated KKK story.

Why is it that people somehow forget that fateful day when Morlock spent ENTIRE DAY with Holder at the Dept. of Injustice facing CRIMINAL CHARGES over his and son’s involvement in the Phone Gate scandal in UK and USA? Other people reporting directly to Morlock did get time behind bars in preview of what’s coming for him as well.
After that FULL DAY with Holder Morlock walked out a FREE MAN with NO CHARGES FILED OF ANY KIND against him and his son. That was the day Fixed Moonbat News went on a hiring spree of every rabid liberal they could get their hands on and ALL of their talking heads’ going on non stop liberal talking points, pro amnesty, etc.
Even UK Parliament stated that Morlock is not fit to manage a communications company of any kind. Corruption was in full display and through and through.
That was the time I turned off Fixed Moonbat News for good, shame that it took my wife another 2 years to finally get what was going on, she switched them off more than a year ago. Their rabid liberal ebd and drive was on full display now for more than 3 YEARS.
Morlock made a deal for his and his son’s freedom that day, not that he was not a globalist by then, but that was the day when he signed his life away and turned his news media empire into liberal cesspool. Hi to you all here at CTH. I’m a totally committed Trump supporter, and been a bit of a lurker here these past few months, but have appreciated the insight from Sundance as well as all the intelligent commenters. One thing is driving me crazy.
These debates – I get that Trump had to go along with the RNC program. But the original program was to limit the debates so as not to do too much damage during the primary period. That policy has obviously been tossed, and to my mind tossed intentionally to do damage to Trump.
My understanding is that the conventional wisdom always had been that front-runners don’t do debates, for obvious reasons. And let’s be honest, these are not debates, they are firing squads with Trump as the target.
So my question is this: when does Trump have enough pull to dictate the terms of the debate schedule, and even to shut them down. There are way too many of these things, and I think they can only do damage from here on out. At some point, Trump must be able to assume more control. When do you think that is?

Trump has built up an immunity by full frontal, courage, by facing the media, ‘All Talk’ politicians, and donor trolls. Just surviving show them as impotent.
The final media nuclear weapon, the KKK smear, has been faced. But the media has become the ‘Boy that cried RACIST!’. No one believes it anymore…

B Church, Trump skipped the debate in Iowa and that (plus Ted Cruz’s cheating) lost him the Iowa caucuses. He can’t really afford to skip another one and retain his momentum. Besides, these debates are nothing compared with what the media will come up with when he debates Hillary. If nothing else, they are good training.

I used to watch and listen to what I heard and saw and pretty much believed most of it. This year I’ve change maybe forever. When I hear something I consider 3 or 4 scenarios ahead like what is bluff and deflection and double meaning. This politics watching takes a lot of energy cause you have to think 10 miles down the road where the curves are or rocks in the road…. Like why is Romney giving a speech. Immediately you say he’s in the batter box…then my new thinking says no might be some other trick going on and then the dot connecting begins…. Thanks to this site I’m getting a little more accurate as the players are really quite sloppy and clumsy. The RNC and GOP are not great operators at deceit though they try hard… Like who would use the KKK thing. Maybe MSNBC… but the leaders of the party…. Just plain stupid… maybe…..oh there I go again…..

These hypocrite politicians! The Frontline documentary shows that the Republicans were afraid of the growing Hispanic population and felt they need to attract the votes. Forget doing the right thing for the US citizens in general, these slimes were only concerned with saving their own jobs and saving the Republican party. And then when Dave Brat beat Eric Cantor, primarily (but not entirely) because Brat was tough on immigration, then suddenly the Republicans who had formerly been pro-immigration bill became anti-immigration bill, because they were only concerned with saving their own jobs and saving the Republican party.
Throughout the Frontline video, but especially at the end of it, there is a clear warning.The Hispanic population is growing, the Hispanic activists were upset, blah blah blah, implying that Republicans had better become pro-immigration OR ELSE! But look what is happening this year, Trump is attracting Hispanic voters despite his tough stance on immigration.
If I snuck into another country, dropped a few anchor babies, and then was discovered and deported, my entire family would come wth me! I don’t know why these pushy entitled illegals think they should be able to remain here. Politicians enabling them is only making the problem worse. We need to make it very clear that we have laws, we have existing paths to citizenship, and that’s it. There will be no changes. If you are here illegally, you gotta go. Period.

Brokered convention. More gaslighting scare tactics from the desperate, fetid scrambled-egg brains who suddenly realize that Trump is marching on to the convention and their roadmap to preserving their gravy train in Washington has been shredded.
Disappearing Rubio. Pulling back from Louisiana and other events means he is in a fevered pitch to shore up Florida. Too bad he can’t point to anything he’s done in the Senate that benefits the very same people who elected him with his promise to be anti-amnesty, which he immediately reversed as Obama’s spokesman for Gang of 8 amnesty.
Cruzades. The Bible-thumpers in the Florida panhandle may be inclined to listen to Pastor Ted (as they did in Oklahoma and Iowa), but there are also a lot of retired military and I don’t think they like snakecharmers.
Polling. Pre-Super Tuesday polling was not even close to actual results. In many state, the polls said Trump was way up or even (Texas). Since Trump points to the polls, were they massaged to create the story after the fact that Trump has far less actual support than he thinks?
Crowds do not equal votes. I have constantly agonized over this. Trump attracts tens of thousands multiple times in a state (versus just a few hundred for his opponents) and yet, as the razor-thin margin in Virginia shows — these crowds do not translate into overwhelming wins. I still Don’t.Get.It.
I have the same feeling now as I did after the Iowa caucuses. After Iowa, I felt let down and even angrier and was in a panic. Trump was sullen and retreated with his advisors for a day. And he came back strong in New Hampshire. Super Tuesday was lesson #2 for Trump after Iowa, and although he is undouttedly proud of his achievements (he has more states now that he won in the primary at this stage than Reagan had in 1980), it should have been better. And he kind of retreated a bit yesterday. I think he is being thoroughly prepped and will be loaded for bear tonight. He’s going ot need it. Don’t forget to say a little prayer for him, too. He’s going to need that, too.

The only two states that were out of whack with the polls were the very same two states that rumors of election fraud were rampant..
The only one that didn’t follow as expected was Oklahoma, and Trump did the least amount of stumping there.

Rubio is determined to attempt broker convention. Issue is, he still loses and majority of Trumps voters would never vote for him. Hillary would win and if she does every politician on republican side will be ousted. I actually look forward to leaving this party after the election is over.
