It is my opinion that SCOTUS cannot prescribe election procedures or proclaim winners or losers but they can rule if PAs system presents unconstitutional unverifiability. It is my hope they stamp the PA process and violations unconstitutional and thereby illegal. They cannot simply rule on a winner but could mandate for redo with strong wording on what constitutionality would entail without actual process prescriptions. They order the legislature to submit rules for the redo including those for process enforcement prior to the redo. They could prescribe timing and order submittal of interim rules of government operations from the executive and the legislative. Treat it as the constitutional crisis that it is without deference but definitely invoke consequences for individual failure of responsibilities.

I’m waiting to see which challenges get as far as the SCOTUS. But, as you say, not every issue of concern CAN be taken there, and the SCOTUS itself may decide to NOT HEAR some cases for a variety of reasons.
For example:
The various states have DIFFERENT laws and procedures that regulate HOW their elections will be executed. Will those LAWS, themselves, need to be challenged on Constitutional grounds, or can VIOLATIONS of those laws be pursued in Federal courts BEFORE they run their course in State courts?
Can COVID concerns be deemed sufficient for State Administrations to alter election procedures by Executive Order?
What happens if State Courts drag their feet? How LONG can they delay legal challenges from the Trump team before Federal Courts can take over?
My but these CERTAINLY ARE INTERESTING TIMES.

actually, SCOTUS in the end will ask each of the states that stopped counting when they saw Trump was going to win… “why did you stop counting?” since there is NO valid or legal excuse, and since chaos and fraud followed the stoppage (besides the fraud that happened in general) SCOTUS can not sit and do nothing, the only remedy is to determine that whatever the vote count was at the time the vote count was stopped IS the official count for that state.

In MI vote counts were found transposed in 47 counties and discovered by a clerk after hand counting votes.
