Wow Biden is blaming the American people/media for not banding together over Benghazi. 0:47 on video. It is our fault we are talking about Benghazi rather than just blindly supporting whatever the White House says because history has shown in times of crisis, we as Americans ;pull together.

Did anyone see Governor Chris Christie on Fox and Friends this morning? He was being interviewed about the damage Sandy has done to the State of New Jersey. Then Steve Doocy says innocently that he knows Christie has been a supporter of Romney and heard that Mitt was not campaigning because of Sandy, but might come visit New Jersey to see Christie and offer his help. Then Christie lets go with this diatribe of how he couldn’t give a damn about that or presidential politics right now. His focus was on his people and the disaster he had to deal with…okay…understandable.
Then he goes on about how the POTUS has been just doing a fantastic job…was on the phone with him 3 times last night and Barry wanted to know if there was anything at all he could do. Christie said he asked for declaration of national disaster so that federal funding could be expedited and by 2:00 AM the declaration was made and by this AM things were already being put in motion. Christie just kept reiterating what a fantastic job BHO was doing.
Well, I know a lot of people really love Christie and I am glad that Obama has declared New Jersey a national disaster so they can receive federal help, they will need it…that is pretty much standard operating procedure, isn’t it? Well, the MSM is eating this up. Banner headlines everywhere…Christie Praises Obama…tells Fox about Mitt’s visit he doesn’t give a damn about presidential politics!
REALLY?? SERIOUSLY?? Then why such high praises for Obama not just on Fox, but Christie made the tour of just about every morning talk show out there and Fox was last on his list and sang praises for Obama for what? Spending money? WOW…that is something Obummer has experience with. Yes, he went on ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and then FOX. To let everyone know how helpful Obama has been and what a great job he has been doing. Then Christie held a national news conference.
If he just wanted to assess the nation on the damage in New Jersey and what is being done and what others can do, seems like the national press conference would have accomplished that. I suspect those morning interviews served two purposes…satisfied inquiring reporters and gave Christie a chance to advance HIS political agenda.
When he gave his speech at the RNC, it had little to do with promoting Mitt and had a lot to do with HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS. Now this seems like a real slam. He could have just said he was not aware of any visit, that was not his focus right now. He could have simply said he appreciated Obummer’s cooperation at such a critical time.
Wouldn’t it have been nice if Christie said, I am glad the POTUS is responding to this crisis in the appropriate manner, IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT HE AND/OR HIS ADMINISTRATION DID NOT REPOND WITH THE SAME LEVEL OF DUTY TO THE CALLS FOR HELP FROM OUR PEOPLE IN BENGHAZI.
AM I BEING TOO CYNICAL? Here are some of the posts…sure wish the media would have covered the Libya matter with such fervor as they did this one statement by Christie.

Whenever a politician like Christie does something, I have to believe it’s calculated to benefit him. He may think his state will need federal dollars when Sandy is over and he learned from Obama’s treatment of Rick Perry in Texas that you get more dollars with sugar than vinegar. (Perry criticized Obama, then later had to ask for federal aid fighting Texas’ many wildfires. Texas got no federal aid.) Christie is in it for himself and what he can get to look good to voters.

I just heard on the radio that Obama’s going to Jersey tomorrow to survey the storm damage. We’ll see how much aid Christie’s kowtowing got him. It’s looking like Christie’s a sell-out.

As I said a few days ago, Benghazi versus Sandy: an Administration windfall. Benghazi was an issue that constantly needed CPR as the majority of the American public didn’t want to divert the attention required for new-season-TV watching, never mind the drumbeat of Sandy whacking the greater NYC corridor. Sandy couldn’t have been more fortuitous for POtuS were he to have created it himself. Come sunup on the 7th, either way Benghazi will become a largely irrelevant-to-the-public footnote. There have been a number of hi-level generals relieved of command and the attention usually lasts for a few days (at most) and then dissolves into nothingness. The press will gladly gather its minions and push the Sandy aftermath well into the new year, making it the defining story of 2012; unless, of course, the Aztecs were right…
Who knows. Maybe he is a Democrat.
