I don’t think thinning and difficult-to-style hair at her (or most anyone’s) late stages of a long life had anything to do with her appearance, spirit and personality five decades earlier in the prime of her career, in 1971 when Brian’s Song was released. Aging happens, along with the physical changes that accompany it. She was irrefutably a very beautiful woman; I’m pretty sure former M.A.S.H. actor Mike Ferrell (her husband since 1984) would agree with that.

Biography: James Watt started his career making mathematical instruments in Glasgow. By 1757 he was working at the University of Glasgow. While working on a Newcomen steam engine Watt had the idea of a separate condenser that would vastly improve the steam engine’s efficiency.

Biography: Carl Barks was an American cartoonist and writer known for his work in creating many of the classic Disney characters, most notably the rich and adventurous Scrooge McDuck.
Barks began his career at Disney Studios in the 1930s, where he worked as an inbetweener, a person who creates intermediate frames in the animation process. However, his true talent shone when he started working as a comic book artist for Disney’s Donald Duck stories in 1942.
While at Disney, Barks created Scrooge McDuck, the world’s richest duck and Donald Duck’s eccentric uncle. The character first appeared in Christmas on Bear Mountain (1947) and quickly became a fan favorite. Barks also created other memorable characters such as Gladstone Gander and the Beagle Boys.

I remember being in my teens and reading In Cold Blood. All I can remember is that book was a hard one to get through. I never saw the fascination in it that others did.
In those days such events were rare. Sadly that’s not the case now.
It was a great book, I read it in my early twenties. Truman Capote himself was talented but a bit of a controversial character.
Never read anything by Capote, a movie or 2 based on his books that were…. not really of interest to me.
I was not much of a reader in HS, but when I did, it was science fiction.
Isaac Asimov was my favorite in high school. I have always been an avid reader, but what I read has changed drastically over the years. I don’t read as much now that I am older as it puts my right to sleep now!
Jake, I read ‘Robbie’, part of the ‘I, Robot’ collection when I was about 8 or 9.
I couldn’t decide which I wanted more, a robot or a Collie.
John, one of the reasons In Cold Blood was such a sensation is no one had ever written such a book before.
Capote treated the real life Clutter murders more like a novel.
Every aspect of it was meticulously researched. Crime, victims and killers.
Capote’s good friend Harper Lee, helped with the research.
Not to mention, Miss Lee published To Kill a Mockingbird around the same time.
I’m sure everyone knows the Dill Harris character in Mockingbird is based on Capote.

COMMENTARY FOR PHILIPPIANS 1
The Philippians felt a very deep interest for the apostle. The scope of the epistle is to confirm them in the faith, to encourage them to walk as becomes the gospel of Christ, to caution them against judaizing teachers, and to express gratitude for their Christian bounty. This epistle is the only one, among those written by St. Paul, in which no censures are implied or expressed. Full commendation and confidence are in every part, and the Philippians are addressed with a peculiar affection, which every serious reader will perceive.The apostle offers up thanksgivings and prayers, for the good work of grace in the Philippians. (1-7) He expresses affection, and prays for them. (8-11) Fortifies them against being cast down at his sufferings. (12-20) He stood prepared for glorifying Christ by life, or death. (21-26) Exhortations to zeal, and constancy in professing the gospel. (27-30)1-7 The highest honour of the most eminent ministers is, to be servants of Christ. And those who are not really saints on earth, never will be saints in heaven. Out of Christ, the best saints are sinners, and unable to stand before God. There is no peace without grace. Inward peace springs from a sense of Divine favour. And there is no grace and peace but from God our Father, the fountain and origin of all blessings. At Philippi the apostle was evil entreated, and saw little fruit of his labour; yet he remembers Philippi with joy. We must thank our God for the graces and comforts, gifts and usefulness of others, as we receive the benefit, and God receives the glory. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. I have a question about the oil wells in Iran that I have not been able to find. It may be because I am not wording my query correctly on the web.
From what I understand, if an oil well pump is stopped, especially for more than several hours, then that well is rendered useless and it takes several months, possibly a year, and a lot more money to bring it back to life again.
This information was covered on several news websites and I frequently go to for my news.
Back in about April or so the discussion in several articles was that the storage facilities on Kharg Island were near or at full capacity. With those storage units full and no longer available to receive any more oil, the oil wells would need to be shut down and that would disable the oil wells.
Back in about July or so the discussion in several articles was that our military would start hitting the infrastructure of Iran, like bridges and electricity generation facilities. Because the motors on the oil well is powered by electricity, if a power plant supplying a certain number oil wells in a certain location was destroyed, electricity would no longer be supplied to those oil wells and that would render those oil wells lifeless.
I cannot find any information on the condition of the oil wells in Iran.
Is Iran able to move oil onto the markets in any fashion?
Is Iran pumping that oil into the ocean?
Is Iran pumping that oil into man made ponds near the oil well?
Are the oil wells in Iran still pumping any oil at all?
Have any oil wells in Iran been shut down and now damage?
What is the situation with oil wells in Iran?

Fast knowledge at your fingertips, information on every individual, tracking at it’s ultimate, they’ll have all knowledge of every soul on earth. Then they can sell that knowledge?
Oh, and they may take the place of libraries; like Amazon they’ll supply books. I think they’ll have ‘clouds’ too. You’ll have to pay for them.
I don’t know the real purpose of all those centers. The expense to build them is tremendous, they must be banking on income from somewhere.

Not allowing access to X will slow down information flow,
I have been noticing ‘hiccups’ and disconnects with X.
This is coming right before elections are taking place and
might effect outcomes, whether that will be a positive will

I predict a rise in Telegram traffic because they still allow
you to preview the posts without having to signup for access.
I might be in the minority, but my experience with

Good evening all.

Just finished hanging a bug zapper near the entry into my siding where a yellow jacket colony was attempting to set up residence.
Squatters are very unwelcome in our little corner of Virginia.
First utilized a long PVC pipe, an air compressor nozzle and Sevin dust in an attempt to nuke the colony. (After dark of course since yellow jackets have limited night combat capacity.)
In case you are not briefed in on this opfor they emit sounds and scents when any member of the drone swarm is squashed or is attacking a mammalian target. The target is then swamped as quickly as possible.
Yellow jackets put the “swarm” thing into being.
Now it’s just kick back and watch the stragglers fight the bug zapper……I know it’s droll but good ole boys gotta have some fun wherever and however it can be found.
