Australian search team leader, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, has announced that after 6 consecutive days of no further signal detections they are calling off the use of the Towed Ping Locator.  

In addition Angus Houston says: “the chance of finding any floating debris has diminished”; and visual debris searches are due to be discontinued in the next 48 hours pending further consultation with all parties assisting in visual search…..

The search team has determined to go underwater. They are moving to deploy the autonomous underwater side scan radar known as Bluefin-21.
Each deployment of the Bluefin-21 will take 24 hours. Two hours to reach depth (approx. 4,500 meters); 16 hours “on station” as it sweeps the sea floor [5k x 8k];  two more hours to resurface, and four hours to download and prepare for redeployment.
The use of the Bluefin-21 side-scan radar begins today. (more…)

While the Politico story doesn’t directly outline the ego of John Kerry as the impetus for the framework, and subsequent collapse, it’s still there and you can catch glimpses of it throughout the article.

Even among senior Obama aides, there’s disagreement about how wary the president actually was all along about taking another shot at the peace process, how much distance he was really trying to keep, and how much of his actions were about humoring an ambitious Kerry’s swing at the history books.

As we previously shared the entire construct of the Kerry spearheaded peace talks originated from Secretary Kerry’s desire to be something legendary, and do something on a grand scale worthy of his own opinion of himself.
John Kerry was not so much interested in the construct of Israeli security, or foundationally finding a substantive ‘two state’ solution; for Kerry -the ideologue- he wanted to carve the mold, and then watch the global media cast the brass bust.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) – Three people were shot and killed Sunday afternoon in suburban Kansas City, and a spokeswoman for a local hospital said a 15-year-old boy is in critical condition.

Convicted of criminal charges related to weapons and violation of an injunction against paramilitary activity, he is a perennial candidate[1] for public office as both a Democrat and Republican. Overland Park city spokesman Sean Reilly says two people died at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City campus and one was killed at Village Shalom, which is a retirement community that is several blocks away from the center.
Overland Park Fire Department spokesman Jason Rhodes said Sunday afternoon that one person of interest is in custody. (more…)

In a rather direct conversation former CBS investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson talks about her decision to leave CBS News.
Some of the interesting aspects she discusses are how CBS was uninterested in airing numerous reports on scandals that surround the Obama administration and White House. She also talks about how the White House would call CBS to pressure the network to stop airing information, and how even her print reporting would find White House officials calling to express their concerns.

As unbelievable as this appears, this is a genuine Democrat Congressional Candidate.

I got acquainted with Dan this past Thursday.
I had taken our son and grandson to the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum at McMinnville a week ago yesterday and that day I purchased a membership so that I could go again and again and again during the year. Thursday was my first again.
Dan is a national treasure and a new friend. As we wrapped up our thirty minute conversation he offered me a home phone number for himself and his wife of sixty-seven years (V) in case I had further questions about the P-38.
Dan was only twenty-two in the winter of 1944 when he was working as a ground mechanic on the P-38s based in England, stripping them of their armaments so they could be effectively used for photo reconnaissance flights deep into territory controlled by German forces, five months before D-Day.
As I understood the nature of the mission he was describing I asked with some astonishment, How on earth did they carry out such missions?? His answer – very carefully. (more…)

WeBeStealin – A brazen flash mob has been caught on camera storming a California store and making off with $20,000 worth of sunglasses.

Surveillance footage shows eight women piling into a Sunglass Hut and crowding around display cases.  Shielding workers from what they’re doing, they quickly stuff dozens of fashion specs into their bags.
A store clerk pleads with them to stop, before running out of the shot to get help and dial 911. The thieves then all bolt outside and escape in a waiting SUV.
The incident occurred at the Valencia Town Center mall, in Santa Clarita, at 3 p.m. on Mar. 29.  Cops are now hunting the women, who are believed to be between the ages of 18 and 25.  (read more)
