Someone Left A Fully Armed Russian BMP-2 (Boyevaya Mashina Pekhoty) Infantry Combat Vehicle Stalled In Mariupol, Ukraine…

Someone, (probably a Russian infantry unit that had to scram because they are technically not supposed to be there), left a fully operational -albeit apparently stalled- BMP-2 Infantry Combat Vehicle in the middle of an intersection in Mariupol, Ukraine.

Abandoned.    Fully operational – but abandoned.

Apparently, curiosity got the best of the locals (who are probably sympathetic to the Russians who had to quickly disappear).   What happens next is not funny, but I’ll admit I just couldn’t stop laughing:

Watch the video.   With two precursor tips.  #1) Pay attention to the @50 sec. mark (duh, obviously).   But more importantly #2) listen to the person shout @1:05 (in English).

Attorney General Eric Holder: Americans Who Are Opposed To Obama’s “Fundamental Transformation” of America Are Guilty of “Quiet Prejudice”…

GIVE IT A DAMN REST – I’m sick and tired of being told we’re racist just because we disagree with policies of this President.  Come up with a new argument will ya’ !!

eric_holder_500MARYLAND –  Attorney General Eric Holder, who has suggested that critics of the Obama administration are motivated by race and referred to America as a “nation of cowards” on race issues while blasting Americans who resist more gun control laws, suggested that those opposed to President Barack Obama’s policy agenda of “fundamental transformation” are quietly prejudiced.

In his Saturday commencement address at Morgan State University, a historically black university in Maryland, Holder said that even though there are no more “separate but equal” laws on the 60th anniversary of the Brown v. Board of Education decision, the “vestiges of state-sanctioned discrimination continue to reverberate across the country even today.” (more…)

Trying To Kill El-Sisi – The Rage Of The Muslim Brotherhood Against Their Nemisis…

dawn-of-the-muslim-brotherhood

HatTip WeeWeed: You won’t find an article like this in U.S. media because it is the antithesis of Obama’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is the dragon slayer of radical Islam. Unfortunately it’s Russia who has stepped in to assist El-Sisi in the fight against the radicals. Russia, because the United States, under Obama’s direction has supported the now ousted President Morsi.

Sadat AsassinationWe previously shared that prayers are needed for protection of El-Sisi as he swings a battle axe against the Islamist radicals and tries to bring Egypt into the 21st century without Sharia.

The Muslim Brotherhood was the ideological origin of al-Qaeda.

The Muslim Brotherhood has a history, a long sordid history, of assassination – including Anwar Sadat (pictured above).

CAIRO, EGYPT — The Egyptian presidential elections have begun—with wide expectations that former Defense Minister Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will be the winner.

al sisiEl-Sisi—the most powerful man in Egypt—and maybe in the whole Middle East now—is the man who toppled the Muslim Brotherhood, killed, arrested, displaced their leaders, orphaned their children, widowed their wives, ruined their business, confiscated their money,  and turned their dreams into nightmares.

Anyone who reads the history of the Muslim Brotherhood knows that assassinations were always their favorite way to get rid of their enemies or whomever stood in their way. El-Sisi, who utterly shattered their dreams —which they’ve been working on for eighty long years— delivered the knockout punch.

Recently, El-Sisi revealed during his first televised debate that he survived two assassination attempts, without disclosing details.

It seems that the Assassination of El-Sisi has already become the ultimate goal of the Brotherhood and their militias. Sources reveal that Russian and Egyptian intelligence services have discovered 3 different plans for the assassination of El-Sisi.

The sources point out that the first assassination plot was right after the June 30 revolution, and that this scheme was planned in a German city with the presence of members of the international Muslim Brotherhood organization—and the representatives of three different countries intelligence agencies, who support the Brotherhood. Hillary’s “Rebels” At It Again – Benghazi Airport Closed As At Least 75 Die In Libyan Fighting – Fighting spreads to Tripoli…. Brink of Civil War ?

Libya is on “the brink of civil war,” Col. Mukhtar Farnana, a prominent commander from Zintan, said in a televised statement, which he said was from the command of the self-declared Libyan National Army.  (link)

In March of 2011 Hillary Clinton, Samantha Power and Susan Rice, together with President Obama, made a specific decision to arm a group of unknown “rebels” in Benghazi Libya.    Those “rebels” were al-Qaeda faction Islamists.

Both the CIA and the Pentagon were against the decision.  Obama and Clinton ignored their advice and chose to send small arms, weapons and portable missiles to the region.

Samantha Power, Susan Rice and President Obama – Take us to WAR in Libya

Today the Libyan National Army tried yet again to engage the radical Islamists and crack down on the lawless Eastern Tribal area.   However, the al-Qaeda militants are using those very same U.S. provided weapons (from Hillary and Co.) to fight.   Yes, there’s an Irony there.

After the initial attack in Benghazi, the fighting quickly spread West to Tripoli where various elements of the Eastern Libyan islamists movement have embedded ready to start a civil war.

These developments should be watched very closely.  If things escalate, the White House will be *tweeking* because of the political risk….

Tripoli, Libya (CNN) — Fierce fighting swept across the Libyan capital of Tripoli on Sunday, a short time after armed men stormed the country’s interim parliament. The violence appeared to be some of the worst since the 2011 revolution that ousted longtime leader Moammar Gadhafi.

At least two people were killed and 66 were injured, according to the Health Ministry.

Residents of Tripoli rushed home Sunday evening. One Libyan who spoke to CNN reported seeing shop owners quickly closing up.

State media LANA reported that lawmakers had already left for the General National Congress when that attack happened as the session was over for the day. Armed men blocked the road that led to the parliament, LANA said, blocking members’ access to their offices. (more…)

Trey Gowdy Must Be Over The Target – Dianne Feinstein Calls Benghazi Select Committee A “Lynch Mob”…

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D – Calif.) thinks the House select committee on Benghazi is “ridiculous.”

“I think it’s a hunting mission for a lynch mob,” she told CNN’s Candy Crowley on State of the Union Sunday.

A Lifetime Dependent On Discontentment – Michelle Obama Proclaims Racism, Racism, Racism Everywhere….

Good summary of Michelle Obama’s speech ideology to the graduating class of Topeka Kansas from Truth Revolt:

Michelle Obama close upFor Michelle Obama, the world is black and white. But not about good and evil, right and wrong. Her black and white is all about skin color.

She talks about it often, incessantly, even, injecting race and racism into speeches and events in which they have no business. And she did so again on Friday, when she traveled to Topeka, Kansas, to deliver a speech to graduating high school seniors.

First, a background note: Her speech was moved up a day after parents complained that her visit to a school district — just blocks from the historic schoolhouse central to the Brown v. Education Supreme Court decision that outlawed segregation — would focus on race, not their children’s accomplishments.

And that, in fact, is exactly what the first lady did.  (more…)

NYT Publisher Sulzberger Says Abramson Firing Driven by Conduct – Hey, Wait A Minute… What About #BanBossy ?

Apparently the liberal “Ban Bossy Campaign” to stop backlash against assertive women in leadership never made it to the New York Times.    #IronyObvious.   Sulzberger says Abramson fired for being too bossy.

jill abramson 2(Via Bloomberg)  New York Times Chairman Arthur Sulzberger Jr. denied gender bias played any part in his decision to fire top editor Jill Abramson, saying she publicly mistreated colleagues and was a poor communicator.

“During her tenure, I heard repeatedly from her newsroom colleagues, women and men, about a series of issues, including arbitrary decision-making, a failure to consult and bring colleagues with her, inadequate communication and the public mistreatment of colleagues,” Sulzberger said in a statement released yesterday.

“I discussed these issues with Jill herself several times and warned her that, unless they were addressed, she risked losing the trust of both masthead and newsroom.” (more…)

Dubya Being Dubya – President Bush Declined 9/11 Museum Opening To Avoid Being A Distraction and “Stirring Emotion” – Attended Medal of Honor Event For Congressional Medal of Honor Society….

Say what you will about President G.W. Bush but he always puts the consideration of others at the forefront.  Many, including myself, strongly disagreed with T2 policies – but Dubya’s outward humility in position was/is beyond reproach.

TELEGRAPH – […] As President Barack Obama spoke at the unveiling of the museum in New York on Thursday, the man who was president at the time of the attacks was noticeable by his absence.  According to the museum Mr Bush was invited to the ceremony, but his spokesman Freddy Ford said he was unable to attend because of a scheduling conflict.

It later emerged that the former president was in Bentonville, Arkansas attending a separate ceremony for 14 living recipients of the Medal of Honour. The event also raised money for the Congressional Medal of Honour Society and Foundation. (more…)

Mailboxes and Old Barns Guest Post: Some Assembly Required, by Maxine Lee

rosy roseMaxine Lee is grandmother of our good friend carterzest. We will continue to share the narrative of her family’s history as presented in the book she published in 2005 entitled Some Assembly Required.  The gathering of her stories in the book was a result of her dream “to leave a printed account to my family, of my beginning, my birth place and childhood, and a few of the lessons life has taught to me.”  Thank you, Maxine, for sharing with us what you gathered for them.
Links to previous posts in the series will be shared at the end of each Sunday’s post. This is # 3 in our series of 7.

Scalped

My brother, Larry, was about three when Dad was plowing a field up the hill from the house. My mother was on her way to mail some letters near the highway. We kids liked to follow the plow, walking in the cool, sweet smelling earth as the horses slowly pulled the plow down the furrow. Maybe Mom’s arrival in the field distracted us all. I am not sure plow1how it happened, but my little brother stumbled into the furrow, and instead of getting behind the plow, he got in front of it, and the plow ran over his head. Mom threw the mail into the brush, grabbed my brother and raced for the house with Dad and us behind her, after he tied the horses. Like with most head wounds, there was blood every where. My little brother recovered nicely – without a doctor, except Doctor Mom, and without antibiotics, just cool well water. The cut didn’t even leave a scar.

Fruit and Vegetables

We never went hungry. The farm always provided what we needed, and the cream money bought things like sugar and salt. Since we raised chickens and went fishing, we ate chicken and fish in the summer.

From our little home on the edge of the peatmoss swamp, Mom foraged for greens in the spring. She made a salad from the new dandelion greens – splashed with hot bacon grease, some vinegar, a little sugar, and fresh green onions from the garden. We had field corn, sweetened with a little sugar, wonderful potatoes, fresh from the earth or from the cold cellar which was dug into the side of a hill. In the fall, we gathered carrots, potatoes and turnips and buried them in sawdust in that cellar. We stacked squash for our table and for the cattle to eat. We also stored dried onions.

Mom bought flour and corn meal. One winter, it was so cold no one dared to venture to town, and we had to eat a lot of corn meal mush which was not good without salt. We also ran out of kerosene for the lamp, and had to sit by the light of the cook stove until bed time. We kids thought it was fun, except for eating corn meal mush without salt. Once, I got a taste of celery and I didn’t like it. (more…)
