WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. –  Local 6 has exclusively learned there’s new trouble for the man accused of shooting at George Zimmerman.

Matthew Apperson is now facing a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge, accused of urinating on his neighbor’s front porch.  A new motion filed last week by the State Attorney’s Office asks a judge [Debra Nelson] to revoke his bond for his attempted murder charge.

Those of you who were deep in the weeds during the Zimmerman research and discoveries might be interested in this little loose end.

During the “discovery phase”, and intense pre-trial preparation, Trayvon Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump refused explain or reconcile his public claims about witness #8 (he called “Dee Dee”).   Crump refused to discuss his relationship with witness #8 or anything about her despite his public, yet secretive, introductions of her to the media in March of the previous year (2012).

By the end of May 2013 a frustrated defense team couldn’t get Crump to explain his claims of Witness #8 being 16-years old (she wasn’t – she was 18 per the prosecution); or being “a minor” (she wasn’t per the prosecution); or being “Trayvon’s Girlfriend” (she wasn’t); or about her being in “the hospital” (she never was – lie admitted one day prior to her deposition); or about Trayvon knowing her “since Kindergarten” (she didn’t – only met him 2 weeks prior); or about her “writing a statement” (she didn’t – and couldn’t write); or about the State Attorney taking an affidavit from someone claiming to be her without ever asking for ID (yes, they actually did that); or about neither Crump nor the State of Florida, knowing Witness #8’s last name (yes, they both claimed they never asked).

Despite these ridiculous “on the record” discrepancies, Judge Debra Nelson refused to make  attorney Benjamin Crump answer questions about them. (more…)

Many people have previously wondered why Matthew Apperson was not charged with attempted murder.  Today the State Attorney in Sanford Florida did just that.

SANFORD – Prosecutors today filed an attempted murder charge against Matthew Apperson, the Winter Springs man who shot at George Zimmerman last month.

On May 11 the 36-year-old Apperson fired one round from a .357-caliber handgun at Zimmerman as they drove in separate vehicles on Lake Mary Boulevard.

Matthew Apperson will use a “stand your ground” defense in the charges against him. I shall defer comment until after the ridiculously biased presentation within the article, as notable within this editorial construct of Rene Stutzman:

The story of Ben Kruidbos (pronounced “Cried-Boss”) is a story of what happens when a man of integrity stands up against a legal authority built on corruption and political self-interest.

Yesterday a Florida Judge delivered a ruling, with extreme prejudice, against his former boss, State Attorney Angela Corey – thereby allowing a lawsuit filed by Ben to continue.

Those of you who followed the trial of George Zimmerman may remember Ben; those of you who are not familiar with the specifics might find a parallel to the current headlines of what is happening in Baltimore Maryland in the office of State Attorney Marilyn Mosby.

Ben Kruidbos was the Information Technology Director, the technology expert, within the office of the Jacksonville State Attorney Angela Corey ~Full Backstory~.  In his position he was charged with retrieving and reviewing the phone data contained in the cell phone of Trayvon Martin.

The office of Angela Corey held a vested interest in the content of Trayvon’s cell phone because, as we would later discover, the content therein showed how Trayvon’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, and his father, Tracy Martin, lied to state investigators about the details surrounding Trayvon’s activities prior to his encounter with George Zimmerman. Previously the judge in the Matthew Apperson case said the state could at any time modify the Bond conditions and require Apperson to be monitored via GPS.   Matthew Apperson was arrested for attempting to shoot George Zimmerman.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A Florida man charged with shooting at George Zimmerman last week had “a fixation” on the former neighborhood watch leader and had recently been admitted to a mental institution, according to a police report made public Tuesday.

The Lake Mary Police Department report said that 36-year-old Matthew Apperson had shown signs of paranoia, anxiety and bipolar disorder. Apperson’s attorney, Mark NeJame, didn’t immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
Zimmerman told officers he had been driving in the Orlando suburb of Lake Mary when Apperson got behind his truck and yelled, “You remember me you fat mother f—–?” according to the report. (more…)

LAKE MARY, Fla. —  A judge set a $35,000 bond for the man accused of shooting at George Zimmerman Saturday morning.

Matthew Apperson was ordered to turn in any guns to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office within 24 hours od his release and to have no contact with Zimmerman.

“I don’t care whether you’ve been shopping at Publix for two hours and have a full cart of groceries or whatever. you see Mr. Zimmerman walking through that door, you’re the one that has to leave,” the judge said.
Apperson’s attorney wouldn’t comment on the judge’s order. (more…)

…”Mr. Apperson did intentionally fire into the vehicle, occupied by George Zimmerman, without provocation”…

• One count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
• One count of aggravated battery with deadly weapon.
• One count of firing deadly missile into an occupied vehicle.

At this point there’s enough circumstantial evidence and background on the shooter Matt Apperson to accept his weird behavioral instability as an attempt to gain fame/notoriety by killing George Zimmerman.  Surely if the physical evidence lines up with Zimmerman’s account the State Attorney will charge…

West said the shooting happened during lunch hour on a very busy Lake Mary Boulevard.
