Wow, this is going to leave the progs in a tenuous position.    You might remember CBS’s Lara Logan from the brutality she suffered when she was sodomized, gang raped and beaten by the media supported “freedom fighters” in Egypt’s Tahrir Square.

The progs exalted Lara Logan for her bravery, courage and her journalism.   Now she speaks out about the rabid savagery that has become the Middle East, the rise and resurgence of al-Qaeda, and the determined Islamists who have come back into power over the last two years as a direct consequence of President Obama’s failed policies.

CHICAGO – This was no ordinary rubber chicken affair. That was my reaction to the extraordinary keynoter at Tuesday’s Better Government Association annual luncheon.

Lara Logan, a correspondent for CBS’ “60 Minutes,” delivered a provocative speech to about 1,100 influentials from government, politics, media, and the legal and corporate arenas. Her ominous and frightening message was gleaned from years of covering our wars in the Middle East. She arrived in Chicago on the heels of her Sept. 30 report, “The Longest War.” It examined the Afghanistan conflict and exposed the perils that still confront America, 11 years after 9/11. (more…)

The Middle East – Let’s cut to the chase so that a broader understanding is possible.

Look at a map of the Middle East:

The first understanding is to know the “Modern West” was accepting of mass migration from N-Africa through Tunisia and Libya into Cyprus, Italy and on to Europe for decades.  This migration was/is the beginning of their substantive multi-cultural issues they are now facing socially and economically.

Long story short…. Eventually Europe wanted the spigot turned off because the “undesirables” were not assimilating correctly and they could not afford the resulting problems.   The ruling fascists in Libya (Gaddafi) and Tunisia (Zine El Abidine Ben Ali) now held “leverage” over Europe.    Quackdaffy and Ben Ali became the gatekeepers. (Blaze) United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice has denied she tried to mislead Congress about the assault on the U.S. Consulate in Libya in calling it a “spontaneous” protest, saying she was acting on the best information she had.

In a letter to Republican senators released Friday, Rice said she “consistently qualified, in some instances twice, the information I provided as preliminary” when she went on television and said the attack on the consulate was the result of an anti-Muslim film. U.S. officials subsequently labeled the Sept. 11 assault that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans an act of terrorism linked to Al-Qaeda-affiliated groups. (more…)

WASHINGTON – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad believes that President Obama’s ‘red line’ about Iranian nuclear weapons is written in vanishing ink.

This is the guy to watch

Fox News captured an interview with Mohamed al-Zawahiri the brother of Ayman al-Zawahiri al-Qaeda’s number one guy.

Mohamed Al Zawahiri has been our primary radar blip since his release from prison in March 2011 during the Egyptian uprising.   The interim “governing” Egyptian Military released Mohamed Al Zawahiri after they permitted the Muslim Brotherhood to re-organize following 30 years of banishment.   They then opened the jails to release all the Mubarak captured prisoners.

Mohamed was the guy who coordinated and called for the protests at the Egyptian embassy.  He is also the guy who coordinated with the Benghazi rebels last year to assist their uprising against Gaddafi.

It is our opinion that Mohamed plans to coordinate efforts in Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia and Turkey toward al-Qaeda North Africa (AQIM);  while his brother, Ayman, continues the same efforts in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq, while aligned with AQAP (al-Qaeda Arabian Peninsular).   Meanwhile Yemen, Bahrain, Qatar et al work to destablize the South. You might be, like many, a little confused about the Benghazi assassination of US Ambassador Christopher Stevens regarding his killers and who they are.   Confusion is quite understandable given the apparent media pointing in all different directions simultaneously.  Perhaps we can clarify a little.

The media sold a false narrative beginning in Feb/March/April 2011 and continuing up to last week.   They sold a story, a fabricated wishful thinking story, of moderate democracy on the rise in Egypt first, and then Libya later.

All subsequent media analysis runs through this filter first, and anything which does not align with the baseline of their narrative is dispatached because it just doesn’t fit their construct; nor do the current facts reconcile against prior media assertions.   Hence, they are pointing in all directions simultaneously.

So let us reset, pause, focus on TRUTH and honestly explain for discussion. (more…)

AFGHANISTAN – Taliban attack kills at least two U.S. Marines in Afghanistan  – At least two U.S. Marines were killed during what was described as a complex Taliban attack on base in southern Afghanistan, U.S. officials told Reuters on Friday, speaking on condition of anonymity.  The incident at Camp Bastion in southern Helmand province also left others wounded, the officials said, without offering further details, including on the nationalities of the wounded.  (more details)

White House Continues The “Movie” ploy – Google rejects White House request to pull Mohammad film clip – Google Inc rejected a request by the White House on Friday to reconsider its decision to keep online a controversial YouTube movie clip that has ignited anti-American protests in the Middle East.  The Internet company said it was censoring the video in India and Indonesia after blocking it on Wednesday in Egypt and Libya, where U.S. embassies have been stormed by protestors enraged over depiction of the Prophet Mohammad as a fraud and philanderer.  (details)

He Did Build This

The first action President Obama took to create the mess was his specific and intentional refusal to support the Iranian freedom movement “Green Party” in February 2009; the second was the follow-up Cairo speech.   It all went downhill from there.

The broader Middle-East was, and is, a Zoo where the “big cats” were only stopped from eating the public passers-through – by the cages built by the dictators (Zookeepers).

The June 2009 Cairo speech by President Obama was the second indication of “new American intent”, and a laissez-faire perspective of indifference, to the rabid Islamist ideologues in the Middle East.   The brutal hate mongering wing of the Islamists (jihadists, al-Qaeda, Muslim Brotherhood, extremists in all forms et al) were only held in check by the brute, albeit gruesome at times, strength and whip of the zookeepers.

It may be true the murdering extremists are only a small faction, a sub-set, of the greater islamic zoo; but they are the top of the food chain, and if not kept in check it was obvious for decades they would willingly destroy their surroundings and then seek more turf. (more…)

If this report is true, and an alliance is formed, two of the three countries needed to restore the Islamic Caliphate will be partnered.   The necessary “trinity” is Iran, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.   Prediction:  If radical Islamist elements in Egypt and Iran align they will turn their collaborative efforts toward destabilizing Saudi. 

Yemen below them, Bahrain beside them, and Kuwait above them, are all precariously balanced and ready to tip with minimal effort.

CAIRO (AP) — Egypt’s President Mohammed Morsi will attend a summit in Iran later this month, a presidential official said on Saturday, the first such trip for an Egyptian leader since relations with Tehran deteriorated decades ago.

The visit could mark a thaw between the two countries after years of enmity, especially since Egypt signed its 1979 peace treaty with Israel and Iran underwent its Islamic revolution. Under Morsi’s predecessor Hosni Mubarak, Egypt, predominantly Sunni Muslim, sided with Saudi Arabia and other Sunni-dominated Arab states in trying to isolate Shiite-led Iran.

Until now, contacts have been channeled through interest sections, a low-level form of diplomatic representation. In May last year, Egypt, which was ruled by an interim military council, expelled a junior Iranian diplomat on suspicion he tried to set up spy rings in Egypt and the Gulf countries. (more…)
