Those are political figures, but also cult like characters who distort common sense, norms and rules of law to give themselves power…again from people willing to be indoctrinated because there is some kind of promise (false promise mind you) that there is a moral aspect to committing political violence (and yes, I consider voters who aligned themselves with these political reprobates as having committed a kind of violence…both physically as I can also provide a long list of dead people who are no longer here because of “policies”, but also a more direct and yet subtle kind of violence: usurping generational and societal norms! Those I feel are a type of violence. To indoctrinate and bend the rules that recognizes sexual deviancy and attempts to make it normalized. 80 PLUS million little human beings MURDERED in the womb with people celebrating it as victory of choice….disgusting and violent indeed).
but back to Manson and his “crew”. I can’t put the full blame on that jackwagon. Yes, it was his ideas. But these people CHOSE to stay and fulfill his death cult missions. They could have also chose to leave at any time. And I would argue (while not knowing fully the complete number of answer) that it’s far likely that many did leave at some point and what we saw was who was “left over”. The usual suspects in my opinion. Perverted destructive criminals who just wanted to watch the world burn. They would have found someone else to kneel before is my point. And yes, Charles Manson doesn’t get a freed pass because he did not himself directly participate and kill these people. He deserved every punishment he received. I think the courts and jury got this one right…life sentence. But I also believe they got it wrong for not sentencing these criminals to death for their crimes.
Manson seems to have attracted lots of renewed attention from this newer generation btw. I’m not sure what to make of it. Probably the media and some big hit movie. But it does makes me nervous to hear people celebrate people like that Luigi assassin, or the latest mother on trial for murdering her children. Who is to blame for that kind of influence.
Yes, Satan is very real. All it takes is for a person to reject God, and conclude there is nothing worth living for. Then the abyss looks right back at you.

I always enjoy reading your sage comments. And I think you hit the nail on the head. Take the Almighty God out of the equation and you are left with putting the Prince of Darkness in the drivers seat. Many make the mistake of not believing in pure evil and that is how it takes over.
The key is for everyone to do their part, however small the effort seems, to do something in their communities to spread the good word.

I am not against public executions and understand the message they can send, but I won’t be watching and don’t believe young kids should either. Some ‘almost of age’ juvenile delinquents should see them so they understand punishment changes at the age or majority. .

and when I say parents. I mean adults who can explain the crime and why the Islamic death cult is a unique and unparalleled kind of threat to mankind. Without that preface, yes, it would be unfair and equally risky to have children witness a criminal execution. But also I think it would generally not be a good idea to make a family moment out of it either. It would be confusing to young minds to have their family gather to watch an execution when they are no other examples in either life times that would come close to that experience.
But I do think that parents should spend some time explaining the crime here and why this kind of murder is very different than any other. And that is just being a good parent. That is being responsible for the values and principles taught and practiced in the home.
I would not for example want my own mother to watch this. She is no snowflake, but there is something that would bother me to have my own mother cringe and cry and she would definitely do that. She doesn’t deserve to witness the way this death cult practitioner is put to death. I would just politely and quietly tell her, it is finished Mom. We don’t have to worry or talk about this maniac anymore. The world is a better place knowing that justice was done. She would appreciate that, but not listening to the crack of rifles and his body react to bullets and the gory stuff. Mom deserves better. She raises us all to never relish in the death of another. She was the moderation to an otherwise very motivated set of men who would wear the uniform and do the unthinkable for this country. All it would do is bring back horrible memories and decades of trying her best to restore my fathers sensibilities and emotions over the Vietnam war. And for me and for my brother too. That is who mom is. And for that, I would want to not have her participate in execution. She deserves better. A finer soul to be protected indeed.

There is great value in this demonstration of justice. It’s fair and it’s in keeping with the the UCMJ. One that his so called office swore and oath to defend. His act of violence is very special and unique. The public execution in my opinion is also good and proper as most citizens do not have any experience with military law. This makes it transparent and not hidden about what kind of justice has taken place. I am certain there will be a forward made by the convening authority in the moments before he is shot dead. That too is steeped in military customs/courtesies, although not required. But I expect there will be some kind of pre execution decree made to establish his crimes, make visible his responsibility of the crimes he committed and the UCMJ law that applies to this case.
also noting: there is a non zero probability that lawfare types will politicize this opportunity to argue it should not be made public. For that I am most certain. You can count on the radicals to attempt to defraud even our UCMJ laws and regulations. But to that, I have some doubts they will prevail. UCMJ courts and decisions such as these are not made in normal federal courts. So they will make the attempt, but I don’t think they will have legal standing.

this is a very special heinous crime. the execution is a given. Making it public even by today’s “standards” is the right thing to do. It restores faith in the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Firing squads were reserved for honorable soldiers who were convicted of crimes by a military tribunal. This man committed the basest of treason indiscriminately murdering his fellow soldiers. Post civil war, the union desired that neatly the entire 8000 confederate officers be charged and then hanged for “war crimes”. A president intervened and gave them all clemency. He pardoned each and every single one. A union President? and why?

The decision was made because it was obvious that a union court (the victor of that great war) was bent on revenge, and not justice. Had those officers be hanged, it would certainly kick off civil war 2.0. A greater good was necessary, even IF some of the allegations were true. As there were also some allegations that were true of the same for union officers who had also committed crimes (Sherman to give but one example). The decision to prevent another civil war in response to otherwise honorable confederate officers was controversial but it would help develop peace that would have never happened if these well respected Confederate officers be put to death at the hands of the the union courts.

However, the UCMJ in its current legal form, does not permit hanging. about 1961 the UCMJ (article 71) removed hanging as a method of execution. It only permits the lawful execution methods of lethal injection or firing squad. The method of choice is a decision that is made by the Secretary of the Army, who is provided guidance and legal form by the provost Marshall. The determination as to whether the execution is permitted AND which of the two methods to be used is finally authorized ONLY by the President of the United States. President Trump.
A few comment about the selection of firing squad and the public venue
.Due to a series of “botched” and otherwise incomplete executions, recent Army recommendations favor firing squad. (it’s not because they want to kill him by firing squad, but rather they want to make sure he actually dies from the method! Which is the point of an execution. )
Army regulations do not prescribe public executions. Army regulations are very clear about a limit to the attendees of executions. It has been historically accurate to describe executions be held in private and not to be allowed as public spectacles. However, Army regulations can and do change as the secretary of the Army and of course the President of the United States have the constitutional authority to changes those regulations as they see fit.
comments are legal issues: while it is possible legally for the President to authorize a public execution, there will certainly be challenges to such an order
if televised, the existing FCC and other regulatory rules have age restrictions to this kind of content. the same is true for live streaming over the internet. How to implement age restriction guard rails are not practically feasible. Just the transmission alone even with black out over the body might result in law suits from a variety of ambulance chasers. No broadcast news would want that liability. So in practice, it’s unlikely to broadcast as a standard communication. What is more likely to happen is that the Department of the Army and the whitehouse will provide some gateway portal so that those who chose to watch it can, but they must also provide something akin to age verification to gain access. This is how I see it actually happening.
while the Army regulations, the execution and the venue are a completely military legal matter, and that means that non military courts have no jurisdiction or standing to oppose the execution or the method, if the execution IS to be broadcast to the general public, the crosses over from a sole military decision to execute into a non military regulated communications legal arena. And then this invites a civilian lawfare type to argue that the execution itself is excessive (the argument will be: if it’s too graphic and morbid to televise, then the execution itself is improper…or at what age is lawful to permit watching an execution? things like this…which would have the effect of delaying the execution and a possibility of making the execution…yes a public spectacle.

i’ve casually looked at this “search” and I think there might be more than just immigration violations involved. There is some rumor that the IRS is interested in some money and lots of it. non reported, and no taxes paid.
what is going to be very interesting is that we know Jack Smith was doing a search of certain members of Congress phone records. Go by and look at a housing development. They are all the same. 4-5 thousand square feet houses. There are no starter houses being built and has not been any built in a long time. Therefore, there are no small houses left for young people starting out. You get a 400K house or nothing.
I think the best way to solve housing, reduce energy consumption, reduce the cost of living and help young people buy a house is to require a significant number of local housing to be 12-15 thousand square foot housing. Cities will have to take the lead with zoning requirements.

It is not yet impossible. Many scoff at the idea of owning a manufactured home (which is actually licensed as a “vehicle”:) but there are communities for young people. One doesn’t have to be 55 or older, and these communities appreciate children and pets. Retired people tend to live in their manufactured homes forever. The younger people snatch them up, renovate them, and sell for a profit. Or … they actually stay and live in them.
Last time I checked, a loan for buying such a home was at 9.9% interest. Steep, until one considers that the monthly rent ranges from $700 to $900, which surely beats renting an apartment. My property taxes run about $100 per month. Just sayin’ there’s an alternative if people can get past the “white trash” attitude that tends to taint buying a manufactured home. The homes in my community are largely well-kept, including the white picket fences:)
I think expectations for a first home are too high. I checked Zillow. There were about 50 homes within Joliet that were priced under $250000. This would be about $1800 a month payment. Average rent in the area is about $1700. Young folks can get in but it’s not the house of their dreams. That said your second or third house could be. The most important point is get on the property ladder however you can.
I think you are way, way off on the monthly rents these days. My daughter pays 1,400 dollars in a nice part of Wisconsin. She said her and her boyfriend just looked a potential houses and there is nothing but upwards of a half a million to a million dollars. Tripling what they pay in rent now.

I would later learn, that JRR Tolkien was a devout Christian and had direct influence in helping his friend CS Lewis also commit his life to following Jesus Christ.
the more I learned about the writer, the more I admired the work.
I would read THE HOBBIT to my daughter at an early age…She asked me more than a few times: are you reading this for me, or for yourself? lol. I guess a little of both. Seeing a young child wonder at a story is truly a very fun experience. You see the child, the child sees you …an older child. Good times.

The greatest gift we can give our children when they are young and impressionable is the joy and comfort found in reading, first by reading to them, and then feeding their curiosity so that they become excited and hungry to learn to read themselves.
I can only offer a similar personal story of my youngest with her 3 (triplets) plus one (her older first)…
No television or electronics from the beginning…just books and more books, age appropriate of course. Leading them all to the wonderful world of Tolkien and others. She even took a purposeless room and decorated the door to it as the entrance to Narnia, inside the room appropriate lighting and comfy chairs and cushions, inviting and perfect for her four to read for hours. My fondest photos of them are with their heads buried in their books, riveted.

It was expensive bringing people to Virginia. The Virginia Company tried to reward wealthy people with land, for paying to bring workers. The workers were trapped in indentured service. Some by agreement. But survival was problematic, so all sorts of ways of forcing people to come were used. Emptying jails. Kidnapping off of streets:. Eventually slavery was preferred. All of that lasted much longer than the Virginia Company did.
Indentured Servants often tried to escape their misery, but where can you go. And when caught, not only did you owe that time, you were punished with more time to serve. There won’t be anywhere you can escape to on the moon.
You will totally be at the mercy of those who paid to take you away. And you will not just have to earn enough to make that cost worth it, but you will also have to earn enough for the cost of the ride back to earth.
It will be the worst Company town ever. The boss built everything. The boss pays huge amounts to bring out food or commits massive resources to grow it. You will literally live that song, “another day older and deeper in debt”.

A few months ago, I read a bit in one of the many books I have. It noted that Eurpeans realized that this huge piece of land that had no way around it north or south was not the eastern side of Asia/China that they realized the world was maybe twice the size they thought. In other words, this new land wasn’t an island and then once around and a short trip further west they would see Asia just over the horizon.
That would be pretty overwhelming.
Our history books taught that the people of the time of Christopher Columbus thought the world was flat and you would go off of the side if you went too far.
Columbus thought the world was round and he could go around it. Most of the world at the time considered Columbus initial voyage to be a suicide mission.

By the time he was born, there had already been sufficient numbers of maps of the known world to prove that the earth was in fact not flat. What remained over the horizon was however, mostly unknown. Columbus was heavily influenced by the reason and scientific observations that ptolemy had discovered true. He wrote about it. (fun fact: one can still repeat this experiment using simple and crude methods and if done meticulously, one can derive the size of the earth with the same accuracy of Ptolemy. Probably one of the most interesting science stories of human history. The other being how the church was very wrong about the earth being the center of the universe. And how that was proven incorrect. So much incredible minds through the ages. And now, we have AI…Lord Help us all.
