A position 180° away from those who think it’s about time to expand the application of 2nd amendment back toward the actual intent of protected firearm ownership.

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — Hillary Clinton on Tuesday offered her most detailed comments on domestic policy in months, calling for tighter gun restrictions while also going to bat for Obamacare and warning that rising economic inequality is contributing to “social collapse.”

As to whether she’ll run for the White House, however, Clinton said she’s still mulling it because there’s “a cost to everything.”

The former secretary of state, who would be the Democratic frontrunner in 2016 should she run, was delivering the keynote address at a conference held by the National Council for Behavioral Health, an organization that focuses on mental health.

“We have to rein in what has become [an] almost article of faith, that anybody can own a gun anywhere, anytime. And I don’t believe that,” she said.

(Newsbusters)  According to the liberal network journalists, being part of a Democratic family makes you “royalty.” Reporters on ABC, CBS and NBC gushed over the announcement that Chelsea Clinton is pregnant. Good Morning America’s Bianna Golodryga enthused:

“Move over, Prince George, though. This morning, Americans have their own royal, or, rather, presidential baby, to look forward to.”

In perhaps the least shocking surprise of the year (so far) Health and Human Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has resigned her position.    The White House has announced a replacement in Sylvia Mathews Burwell the current Director for The Office Of Management and Budget.

The timing of her resignation was widely anticipated after President Obama’s duplicitous  Rose Garden speech outlining successful ObamaCare registrations where Sebelius was conspicuously absent in appearance and mention.
Removing her now is seen as surgically removing the flawed ObamaCare rollout embarrassment from the ongoing narrative.   Nominating a female replacement for the upcoming confirmation process also provides President Obama with both a feminism shield and a sexist sword. (more…)

The best reason Democrats can come up with to vote for a Democrat retread is that she would be the “first woman President”.

Voting for a person because of their gender is just as sexist as not voting for a person because of their gender.   But I digress…

A new Gallup poll released Friday found that when asked what  the best or most positive thing about a Hillary Clinton presidency would be, 18  percent cited the fact that she would be the first woman president. The second  most popular answer, at nine percent, was her experience, specifically her  foreign policy experience.
Other positives, that netted at least five percent of respondents, were that  she would be the best choice, that she would be a change from the Bush and Obama  administrations and that she would stick to a Democratic agenda. (more…)

(Newsbusters) Lest there be any doubt, Amanda Marcotte really hates pro-lifers.
In a two-part rant posted March 14 and 17 on Raw Story, the morally challenged feminist writer attacked pro-lifers as “consummate liars,” “anti-choice kooks” with “boring,” “half-baked nonsense” and “shit arguments.”
But Marcotte’s hate doesn’t stop at pro-lifers. It extends to the babies they want to protect.

“Either way, what she [the woman] wants trumps the non-existent desires of a mindless pre-person that is so small it can be removed in about two minutes during an outpatient procedure. Your cavities fight harder to stay in place.”

A ballot measure in Montana that would require an equal number of men and women to serve in the state Legislature is a step closer to getting on the November ballot.

A petition for the measure was approved last Tuesday by the Montana secretary of state’s office. The measure would force the Montana Legislature to reconstruct its gender makeup in a 50/50 split. Currently, women now hold 41 of the 150 seats in the Legislature.  (link)

If they can even come close to getting this on the ballot in Montana, I’m surprised it is not already law in New York and California.

While arguing against lunacy like this, be very careful not to mention that there are sound cultural, psychological, and even physiological reasons that there may be more men than women in a given legislature. It is a thought crime to acknowledge such reasons. (more…)

WASHINGTON DC – Insiders very close to House White House Press Secretary Jay Carney indicate that he’s on his way out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, The Mirror has learned. Carney has told people he’s leaving the White House soon.

In 2008, Carney became Director of Communications for Vice President Joe Biden. In 2011, he became the nation’s 29th press secretary, President Obama’s second, replacing Robert Gibbs. (more…)
