By now everyone is familiar with the wonderful and progressive “Race Together” program put out by Starbucks Coffee Shops.  The basic idea was to have the Starbucks employees educate their customers on social tolerance, social justice, racism and how to avoid expressing micro-aggression while carrying around latte’s of various privilege.

Phase #1 was Starbucks employees handing out brochures informing coffee patrons of their unknown privileges; and also explaining what to expect, moving forward, from the college aged baristas’ majoring in advanced lesbian dance theory.
 
Phase #2 appears to be off to a splendid start as seen in this video showing how to communicate tolerance, respect and dignity toward all races.  The video focuses on #4: “members of different races on my block or apartment building”, and #9: “we have managers of different races”.  Starbucks 101 – How Asian and African Americans “Race Together”:

Marilyn Mosby announced her independent “direct action” charges against the Baltimore Six police officers, with a national press conference.  Immediately after her presser Marilyn Mosby appeared on CNN, ABC, NBC and MSNBC national networks.  Mosby later appeared with the musician Prince, on stage with the family of Freddie Gray, at a Justice for Freddie Gray benefit concert.
However, soon after announcing her charges, the facts behind the case began to surface and the case began falling apart.   Now, with the very real possibility of a nation awakening to the political and activist motives, she is asking the court to impose a gag order – so she can hide the fraud and delay public knowledge.
BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore prosecutors are seeking a gag order as they pursue a criminal case against six city officers in the case of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old man who died a week after suffering a spinal injury while in police custody.
A court document that references the gag order, obtained by The Associated Press, is dated Wednesday. Assistant State’s Attorney Antonio Gioia wrote that the gag order motion was mailed to defense attorneys.
Rochelle Ritchie, a spokeswoman for State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, confirmed Friday the office is seeking a gag order. She declined to provide further details. (more…)

South Carolina officer was standing at a gas station in Moncks Corner (just north of Charleston) talking to customer when he was ambushed by shooter and shot multiple times. 

South Carolina – Berkeley County Sheriff Lt. Will Rogers is out of surgery and in stable condition at MUSC after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in Moncks Corner at 10:30 p.m. Thursday night.

The incident happened at the Exxon at Highway 52 and Cypress Gardens in Moncks Corner. The shooting happened in the Moncks Corner Police Department jurisdiction.
Officials say Lt. Rogers was talking to a customer at the gas station when the suspect came up and shot him several times.
Lt. Rogers was a candidate for Berkeley County Sheriff in the GOP Primary.
The suspect was driving a Black Santa Fe SUV with tag number 542-85W. The vehicle was found shortly after a BOLO on the vehicle was released. (more…)

Clearly unstable bad guy steals a truck then leads a city police car on a chase.  Bad guy then pulls over, reverses and rams police officer and vehicle, takes off again.  Bad guy then encounters Sheriff officer, rams his car bursting it into flames – takes off again.  Bad guy encounters third officer, pulls over and attacks officer while trying to take his gun.  Officer shoots and wounds bad guy.
I doubt you could find a better representative video showing how various law enforcement agencies are fearful of doing their job amid the current anti-police climate.  In this video the County Sheriff is almost apologetic for law enforcement having to do their job.

It is always fascinating to research the ways liberals find legislative maneuvers to skirt around the realities of running out of money to pay for their various “social justice” causes.  A review of Baltimore Maryland education spending highlights their approach when they run out of other people’s money.

We say “other peoples money”, because we all know that liberals don’t spend their own money on these programs – instead they develop ways to “reach out” beyond their own economic roadblocks.
In Maryland there is a program called the Geographic Cost of Education Index or GCEI. A liberal legislative maneuver described thusly:

… a discretionary fund for school systems where educational costs are above the state average.

Removing the parseltongue you find the GCEI actually means a state budgetary funding trick to help pay for education within a community that has already exhausted its own ability to fund itself.
Expanding on the reality the GCEI also means: a state budgetary funding trick to pay for unsustainable union wages and benefits for educators within the school system that has exhausted its own ability to fund itself. (more…)

It is a sentiment that runs rampant within the current administration. The State Department says radical Islam will stop beheading if they can just implement a Jobs for Jihadist program; now the Education Secretary says Chicago gangs will stop shooting if they have a Jobs for Thugs program. Then again, we thought the unemployment “problem” was fixed now….
(CNSNews.com) – Education Secretary Arne Duncan said on Tuesday that he has met with gang leaders in his hometown of Chicago and they’ve told him that it’s a lack of jobs that keeps them on the streets.

“We have to have jobs for young people,” Duncan said at the National Summit on Youth Violence Prevention in Crystal City, Va. “I probably shouldn’t say this in a room like this, but occasionally when I go home I’ll sit down with some of the gang leaders – back home in Chicago.” (more…)

Long before anyone was paying attention to Baltimore.

This is like a never ending song with a repeating chorus. It was not long ago the entire Baltimore jail system had to be torn apart and restructured after it was discovered that corrections officers were part of the gang trade, smuggling drugs to prisoners, allowing prisoners to leave jail on weekends, having sex with prisoners and several female officers were pregnant.
Now video discovers Baltimore corrections officers participating in the looting and riots…
