No new information has been released by officials in Courtland, Mississippi, regarding the investigation into the December 6th murder of Jessica Lane Chambers. However, the social media chatter has picked up extensively since District Attorney John Champion announced the timeline of Ms. Chamber’s activity on the day she was killed.

It is the community discussion around the missing hour of 6:30pm to 7:31pm which has brought clarity to events leading up to the tragic night she was killed.

For a person who is new to the entire case much of what is going on might seem disjointed, disconnected or rather innocuous. However, for those people who have followed the case, and the severely bizarre investigative practices within it, there is actually a clarity emerging.

A clarity which may even explain the bizarre statements of the chief investigator, DA John Champion. (more…)

I’ve tried three times to write this… but the knot in my throat keeps blocking the keystrokes.  There’s a couple of pictures that everyone needs to see today.

Especially today.

The first picture to see is 6-year-old Marcus Johnson. Marcus was a kindergartner at Highland Elementary in the Riverview Gardens School District.

[…] The shooting happened about 7:30 p.m. [last night] as the family was leaving O’Fallon Park, just south of Interstate 70 in north St. Louis. Inside the van were three adults and five children.

The family said that a black vehicle pulled alongside their minivan on West Florissant Avenue and someone inside opened fire, Green said. The father of the child was driving the minivan grabbed a firearm and returned fire, police said.

After realizing three people in the minivan had been shot, the driver called police.

A 15-year-old boy and a 69-year-old man in the minivan were also hit. Both were being treated at a hospital. Police would not give their conditions, but said they were stable.

The child’s mother and three other children, ages 7, 10, and 11, were also in the minivan, police said. They were not hurt. (link)

Marcus was rushed by police to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

(Via Saint Louis Post Dispatch) Officers swarmed a home in Ferguson Thursday morning in a search for those responsible for the shooting of two police officers outside the Ferguson police department about midnight.

The two officers shot early Thursday are expected to survive, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said. They were treated at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and released Thursday, though one still had a bullet lodged behind his ear.

Belmar called the shooting as protests outside the department dwindled an “ambush” on police. At least three shots were fired at police just after midnight as police faced protesters who had gathered outside the police station, police said. (more…)

BREAKING OVERNIGHT –  Two police officers have been shot in Ferguson Missouri during the protest by Ferguson “F**k The Police” agitators outside the Ferguson police HQ.

@02:40 …I don’t know who did the shooting to be honest with your right now… but, uh, somehow they were embedded in that group of folks”… (ie. the Ferguson protestors)

One police officer was shot in the face, the second was shot in the shoulder.  The shots appear to have come from a hill/road opposite the police station and within the crowd of protestors. More updates follow:

(Via Fox) The chief of the Ferguson, Mo., police department, which was cleared in a racially-charged shooting but accused of years of racial profiling in a subsequent Justice Department probe, will resign, law enforcement sources told Fox News.

Chief Tom Jackson’s resignation would come one day after the Ferguson City Council unanimously approved a resolution to part ways with City Manager John Shaw following the probe that alleged racial bias at the department and courts. (read more)

It sets forth in plain English the facts that have been established in this case — by an autopsy on Michael Brown’s body (by three different pathologists, including one representing the family of Michael Brown), DNA examination of officer Darren Wilson’s gun and police vehicle, examination of the pattern of blood stains on the street where Brown died, and a medical report on officer Wilson from the hospital where he went for treatment. When Federal Judge Andrew Hanen previously blocked the implementation of Obama’s sweeping immigration “executive action”, the DOJ claimed nothing had been done to begin the rules change.  However, they lied.

From the time of the November 2014 President Obama announcement, to the February 2015 court ruling, the Department of Homeland Security had implemented rules to change the status of over 100,000 illegal aliens.  (link for explanation)

After Hanen’s ruling, the DOJ then tried to backtrack on the initial filing with the court and quietly inform the court –through another filing– that the DHS had already executed the change of status.  Hanen is now calling the Obama administration back to his courtroom to explain why they lied.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) — The judge who blocked President Barack Obama’s executive action on immigration has ordered the Justice Department to answer allegations the government misled him about part of the plan.

U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen has ordered federal government lawyers to appear in his court March 19 in Brownsville. The hearing is in response to a filing last week in which the government acknowledged some deportation reprieves were granted before Hanen’s Feb. 16 injunction.
