Under the Paul Ryan approved bill -American Security Against Foreign Enemies (SAFE) Act of 2015– the FBI director would be required to certify the background investigation of each refugee from Iraq and Syria.  And only refugees from Iraq and Syria.  And if you are Syrian and you walk into Turkey to begin applying for refugee status, presto, the bill doesn’t cover you.

The SAFE ACT requires the FBI, along with the secretary of Homeland Security and the director of National Intelligence, to certify to Congress that each refugee is not a security threat. The legislation also requires the Department of Homeland Security Inspector General’s Office to independently assess the refugee approvals.

However, the bill is largely meaningless and well beyond toothless. Senator Sessions (R-AL) noted refugees and migrants from nine different countries have been implicated in terrorism incidents over the past year.  “Ignoring this reality, the American SAFE Act allows the president to continue to bring in as many refugees as he wants from anywhere in the world,” Sessions said previously. 

Perhaps the SAFE ACT would be better named the Kerry/Taylor You’ve Got A Friend Act.  However, pay close attention to the GOP representatives who are “out front” selling the ruse.  Pay attention to them, and pay attention to who they are endorsing:

Wow.  Reset the Polls, This is YUGE !!

Candidate Ben Carson’s support for Obama Trade (TPP) is a massive divergence from most conservatives and now puts him in direct opposition to Donald Trump.

(Via Wall Street Journal) Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson said Friday that he supports the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement negotiated by the White House – aligning himself more with the GOP’s establishment wing than with the social conservatives who have powered his campaign.

Mr. Carson’s backing of the 12-nation Pacific trade deal places him at odds with Donald Trump, his chief rival for support among anti-establishment Republicans. Mr. Carson had expressed skepticism about the TPP, saying in a June interview with the Huffington Post that he would not give President Barack Obama “fast-track” authority to negotiate the deal. With this announcement representative Paul Ryan is openly announcing his intention to destroy the conservative elements within the republican party.  And yet again, its doubtful anyone will try to stop him.

The president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Tom Donohue, recently announced his intentions to eliminate opposition to their progressive big government positions and destroy fiscal conservatives (Tea Party).

Tom Donohue demands: ♦ approval of the TPP trade deal, ♦ continuation of ObamaCare, ♦ comprehensive immigration reform to include amnesty, and ♦ federal education Common Core education standards.

Now today, to put the cherry on the cake, Paul Ryan announces he will appoint Chamber of Commerce Lobbyist David Hoppe as his Chief of Staff as Speaker of the House.

WASHINGTON DC –  As he builds support for his bid for speaker of the House, Republican Rep. Paul Ryan has announced he will name as his top aide a longtime corporate lobbyist whose past clients have significant business before Congress.

WASHINGTON DC – Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) is officially running for Speaker following demands he made of House Republicans this week to unify behind him.

Ryan said he would not run for Speaker unless all three of the major House GOP factions endorsed him: the hardline Freedom Caucus, conservative Republican Study Committee and centrist Tuesday Group:

Paul Ryan gave a brief presser outlining his demands:

Prior to the presser Ryan met with various caucuses and gave them these conditions:

• 1. Every faction of the Republicans in the House must support him, or he doesn’t run.
• 2. A return to “regular order” where all proposed bills must come through committees first. Only Ryan will decide which bills will make it to the floor for a vote.
• 3. He will not be responsible for campaigning or raising money. Give that job to someone else, he doesn’t have the time for it.
• 4. Elimination of the “Jefferson rule”, or possible use of motions to “vacate the speaker”. This grants him unlimited power and no-one can challenge his speakership. He rules as dictator for the House and no-one allowed to challenge his authoritarian decisions.
