Something is totally FUBAR with this reporting. I can’t figure out where the disconnect is yet. See the bottom after the article:

WASHINGTON DC – On the night of Sept. 11, as the Obama administration scrambled to respond to the Benghazi terror attacks, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and a key aide effectively tried to cut the department’s own counterterrorism bureau out of the chain of reporting and decision-making, according to a “whistle-blower” witness from that bureau who will soon testify to the charge before Congress, Fox News has learned.
That witness is Mark I. Thompson, a former Marine and now the deputy coordinator for operations in the agency’s counterterrorism bureau. Sources tell Fox News Thompson will level the allegation against Clinton during testimony on Wednesday before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, chaired by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif. (more…)
First things first. This does not need to be rushed – this should not be a “pass it to see what’s in it” bill. This needs to be clearly and methodically, even painstakingly, a deliberative process.
As I see Team Obama requesting the “rushing it to a vote” I become even more suspicious of it….
Report #1 – Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) told Boston’s conservative radio host Howie Carr on Wednesday that the political momentum is starting to turn against the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill. (Link)
Report #2 – President Obama said there is one thing he absolutely won’t compromise on in immigration reform: a pathway to citizenship [ie. “Amnesty”] But as for what he would be willing to give up, he won’t say. (link)
Report #3 – Just in case anyone is concerned that senators aren’t reading the 844-page immigration reform bill from the Group of Eight closely before returning from recess next week, note that Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) is tweeting as he goes, calling out concerning elements of the legislation (link):

I'm still reading through the #Gangof8 bill #Gof8Fact pg 83 says Sec of Homeland Security can waive citizenship processing fees for illegals

It appears the “smartest administration ever”, has painted themselves into a corner – yet again. The strikes from Israel are key indicators that Assad is going to fall, as al-Qaeda elements gain more and more control and weaponry.

WASHINGTON — Confronted with evidence that chemical weapons have been used in Syria, President Obama now finds himself in a geopolitical box, his credibility at stake with frustratingly few good options. (NYT Link)
(TPM) President Barack Obama said Thursday that he was “very comfortable” with the the Food and Drug Administration’s decision to allow the over-the-counter sale of Plan B, known as the morning-after pill, to females aged 15 and up.

“The rule that’s been put forward by the FDA, Secretary Sebelius has reviewed, she’s comfortable with it — I’m comfortable with it,” Obama told reporters at a press conference in Mexico. Obama answered questions along with Mexico’s President Enrique Pena Nieto following a bilateral summit.
“I’m very comfortable with the decision they’ve made right now based on solid, scientific evidence,” he added.
WASHINGTON DC – At least four career officials at the State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency have retained lawyers or are in the process of doing so, as they prepare to provide sensitive information about the Benghazi attacks to Congress, Fox News has learned.
Victoria Toensing, a former Justice Department official and Republican counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee, is now representing one of the State Department employees. She told Fox News her client and some of the others, who consider themselves whistle-blowers, have been threatened by unnamed Obama administration officials.
“I’m not talking generally, I’m talking specifically about Benghazi – that people have been threatened,” Toensing said in an interview Monday. “And not just the State Department. People have been threatened at the CIA.” (more…)
[…] You see, for a MalNar (Malignant Narcissist) they have no idea how to engage other people (and they certainly have no interest in doing so) when it can’t be turned around into something about them. Obama has nothing to give anyone, his primary concern is himself. Bush, on the other hand, well, he appreciates and understands that young woman and her sacrifice. In this picture there is only one president, and it’s not Obama. Gateway Pundit notes Bush invited his friend, wounded warrior Melissa Stockwell, to say the Pledge of Allegiance at his library dedication this past week. (Tammy Bruce)
“We are not recommending any policy other than one exception. That is, if the United States decides to arm the Syrian rebels with lethal weapons, not just defensive weaponry, that those rebels and those weapons be very carefully vetted. We had a very bad experience with Libya where shoulder-fired missiles went disappeared very quickly and showed up in our backyard. We don’t want that to happen again in Syria.”
APRIL 27th 2013 – It was revealed for the first time today that the body of murdered Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens was recovered by a secret two man Special “Ops” team that was not affiliated with any of the other security entities involved in the Benghazi attack..
This team, acting under their own initiative and armed with their own weapons, undertook this mission despite very little intelligence available for this exceedingly hostile and volatile environment. The information came to light this morning on WVOX’s Vernuccio/Allison radio show.
The previously undisclosed information was provided by former Army Ranger Jack Murphy who is the co-author along with Brandon Webb of Benghazi: The Definitive Report. (more…)
