We have long stated the problem with many of the modern issues we face is an abject intention by the media to hide the ‘truth’. Toward that end, it becomes important to expose the small deceptions – even when they appear “not particularly exciting”.
If the liars are exposed on smaller things then perhaps the larger electorate, and maybe even the pop-culture crowd, will awaken to the lies that are embedded within the larger things.

When I first heard of this story circulating the web-o-sphere I thought it had to be one of those Brian Williams parody spoofs. The hilarious part is – it’s not… This is a story he actually told and USA Today published it – and when you contrast it against the stories surfacing, this one is a doozy.
USA TODAY – […] So it’s not surprising that on the day I became eligible, I signed up to be a volunteer firefighter in my hometown of Middletown, N.J. Fighting fires isn’t for everybody, but for me, it was the most pleasing act of volunteerism. It was tactile, tangible, and it paid huge dividends. It ties directly to your community and your neighbors.
My firehouse was a modest engine company — three engines, three garage doors and about 30 of the best men I’ve ever known. We fought all the usual fires that break out in the suburbs: brush fires, car fires, dumpsters, dryers, light fixtures — and worst of all, the occasional house, already in flames when we arrived. We often say ‘we accept the world as it is rather than as we wish it to be’. Because to do anything else only creates frustration from projecting our own perspectives, dreams, wishes and hopes into a situation that may not -heck, often doesn’t- evolve to provide a better outcome.
Today, Susan Rice delivered a speech outlining the Obama administration’s 2015 National Security Strategy. The full 35pg pdf. is available here and below is the introduction by President Obama himself.

Liberal Democrats are just too busy, and beside all that they hate Israel – period.
WASHINGTON DC – Vice President Joe Biden won’t attend Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to Congress on Iran next month, the vice president’s office confirmed to TPM Friday. The news was first reported by the Associated Press.
Biden’s office said that the vice president, who ordinarily would sit alongside House Speaker John Boehner during a joint session of Congress, is expected to be traveling abroad. (more…)
ISIS is naming and providing pictures of the U.S. Hostage they hold in captivity and claim she was killed today by Jordanian airstrikes.

The claim is almost impossible to verify and could be nothing more than pure propaganda. This comes on the heels of ISIS demands of ransom for the Jordanian pilot yet he was killed a month earlier.
Gee, ya think ?
The mere fact the White House is trotting out Susan Rice to share the non-security policy security policy, should tell you all you need to know.
Things are going from bad to worse for NBC Anchor Brian Williams. Yesterday a report surfaced which claimed a pilot remembered taking small arms fire while Williams was on board, this report was used by those who defended Williams. However, that pilot has now walked back his story saying his memory was wrong and he probably didn’t have Williams on the flight.
…[…] “On Friday morning, Krell told me that “the information I gave you was true based on my memories, but at this point I am questioning my memories.”… (link)
Now reports are surfacing which show Brian Williams may have made up significant parts of his stories around his post-Hurricane Katrina Coverage; and NBC news executives are embarrassingly concerned the credibility of the entire network might be moments away from complete collapse. Apparently Tom Brokaw has long known of Williams propensity for exaggerating stories. (more…)
Essentially the crux of the back-story is that Netanyahu contacted the White House about the invitation to talk to congress, prior to accepting the invitation; the White House never contacted Netanyahu back.
Absent of the White House responding, and out of an abundance of caution to appearances, Netanyahu accepted the invitation. Then whammo, the White House claims President Obama was disparaged. It would appear the White House set up the narrative intentionally.

(Via WFB) The entire spat with the White House over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s invitation to speak to Congress was entirely manufactured by the White House.
The truth about the incident, in which the White House complained that it was terribly wrong for Netanyahu to accept House Speaker John Boehner’s (R., Ohio) invitation without first notifying the administration, was made evident by a correction added to a New York Times article that greatly changed the timeline of events that effected the situation. Apparently Cotton has had enough with this GITMO as “recruiting propaganda” nonsense.
Fired up, and well done.
