You do not need to be an “in-the-weeds” political junkie to understand the dynamic at play here…. the media is clueless. However, just log it for reference.
(Via NBC) House Speaker Paul Ryan and Ivanka Trump met in private Monday, according to sources familiar with the meeting.

Ryan, who delivered remarks at the New York Economic Club, met with the GOP nominee’s daughter and trusted adviser at her request and the two had a “very positive discussion,” according to the sources. Continuing her campaign venue choices Hillary Clinton spoke this afternoon in Philadelphia on the campus of Temple University (student population 36,000). Almost all of Secretary Clinton’s primary campaign rallies have been held on college campuses in the past two weeks. Most likely reasoning = it’s a captive audience.
Temple U has a student population of 36,000. Philadelphia has a population of 1.57 Million. Today’s Clinton rally drew a few hundred attendees (being generous):

Donald Trump has released the following statement regarding the latest terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. New York, New Jersey and Minnesota:

“In the past 48 hours, our law enforcement showed again that, without them, our country is neither safe nor secure. I am grateful for the quick action of law enforcement in capturing the terrorist responsible for Saturday’s bombings, and the off-duty police officer for stopping the terrorist in Minnesota. This weekend’s attacks, from Minnesota to Manhattan, are just the latest to be carried out on U.S. soil under President Obama. These should be a wake-up call for every American. (more…)
The supporters of Candidate Donald Trump have crushed all historic fundraising records for small (under $200/per) “grass roots” donations. Over 2.1 million individual small donations in 3 months.
For perspective Hillary and Bill Clinton’s small donor base is 2.3 million, as accumulated over their political lifetimes. Donald Trump has amassed a group of 2.1 million small donor contributors since July – 3 months ago – the date of his first email request.
Do you hear that rumble in the background? Yeah, that’s the sound of the Monster Vote!

(Via Politico) Donald Trump has unleashed an unprecedented deluge of small-dollar donations for the GOP, and one that Republican Party elders have dreamed about finding for much of the last decade as they’ve watched a succession of Democrats — Barack Obama, Bernie Sanders and, to a lesser extent, Hillary Clinton — develop formidable fundraising operations, $5, $10 and $20 at a time. According to the collaborative work of researchers for Advertising Age, Hillary Clinton is spending over $145 million on TV and Radio Ads. Donald Trump’s total is a little over 4 million. Team Clinton is burning 36 times more money than Team Trump.
(Via AdAge) To put all this another way, of the $149,912,723 millon in booked TV and radio spending through election day for these three presidential candidates, $145,299,727 is being spent by the Clinton campaign combined with pro-Clinton PACs. (link)
