The Rebel Alliance Is Destroying The Death Star – Grassroots Conservative Patriots Out Fundraising Establishment GOP Machine….

New York Times Headline:  “Rebel Conservatives Excel in G.O.P. Fund-Raising, Heralding a Tug Right“…

Gadsden_flagWOLVERINES !

(Via New York Times)  Insurgent conservatives seeking to pull the Republican Party to the right raised more money last year than the groups controlled by the party establishment, whose bulging bank accounts and ties to major donors have been their most potent advantage in the running struggle over the party’s future, according to new campaign filings and interviews with officials.

Baby Newt

The shift in fortunes among the largest and most influential outside political groups could have an enormous impact in the 2014 election cycle, as the warring Republican factions prepare to square off in a series of Senate and House primaries around the country and as Republican leaders seek to rein in activists who they believe have fractured and endangered the party with policies that alienate independent-leaning voters. Empirical Evidence Refutes MSNBC – More Mixed-race Conservative Families Than Liberal…

SPLODEY HEAD DEFCON Level 4 –  Progressives rush to hide this in the liberal “Keep This From The Media” file.

(Volokh Conspiracy Blog – Via Washington Post)  There was a small furor yesterday over an MSNBC staffer’s intolerant views of conservatives and the political right. Erik Wemple at the Post published MSNBC’s apology, which announces that a staffer was fired. You can also follow the dispute at New York Magazine, Reason, Michele Malkin, Instapundit, and Gateway Pundit (which captured the fullest screenshot of the now-scrubbed tweet).

My interest today is not in what happened or in the responses of MSNBC and the people it insulted, but rather in the substance of the claim: that people on the right side of the political spectrum would be opposed to mixed-race families including an adopted child.  This follows a somewhat similar MSNBC kerfuffle over jokes implying that an African-American grandchild was somehow out of place in a Romney family photo.

I thought perhaps a little academic light might clear up some of the press’s ignorance about adopted and step-families in America (the Romney case). (more…)

The Kentucky Primary Race – Mitch McConnell VS Matt Bevin

(Via SCF) There is no Senate race in the country that is more important than the Republican primary election in Kentucky between Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and conservative businessman Matt Bevin (R-KY).

The outcome of the Republican primary in Kentucky will determine the direction of the Republican Party for years to come.

If Mitch McConnell wins, the party will continue to drift away from its conservative principles and become increasingly hostile to the grassroots. But if Matt Bevin wins, the establishment’s stranglehold over the party will be broken and power will be restored to the people who elect these politicians.

We have several things to report on this race and we hope you will take a few minutes to read this important update. (more…)

Ugh, Ugh, Ugh, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz Tell Sean Hannity: We’ll “Stay Out Of Any GOP Primary Race That Involves Incumbents”…

Last night Sean Hannity interviewed Rand Paul and Ted Cruz together on his 10pm Fox show.   The discussion included points of contrast between conservative principles and establishment Republican positions.

However, the very last question put to both of them was whether or not they will help up and coming conservatives with endorsements or support in the GOP primary races?

Rand Paul said: “I will stay out of any race that involves an incumbent“.   Looking toward Paul, Ted Cruz responded: “I’ll likely do the same“.

Treehouse Prediction – If Mitch McConnell Loses In Kentucky Primary Race, House Speaker John Boehner Will Retire…

A recent article at The Hill talks about the possibility of Eric Cantor seeking Speaker of The House position in 2014.    We believe the possibility of the determination will actually be made in May of this year based on one single election not that far away from Ohio.

If Matt Bevin can successfully remove Mitch McConnell from the Decepticon ranks one of the shockwaves will be the ground quaking under the other chamber’s leadership.

Boehner - Cantor- McCarthy - House-GOP-leaders-FYI – The Speaker of the House does not need to be a politician.   Nor does The Speaker need to be an elected member of the House.   By constitutional framework the House Speaker can be anyone, any U.S. Citizen.

I would suggest Mark Levin should be the next House Speaker.

WASHINGTON DC – Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has cleared the way for Eric Cantor (R-Va.) to succeed John Boehner as the next Speaker.

Ryan this week said he’s not interested in becoming Speaker, preferring to head the influential Ways and Means Committee in 2015. Boehner has repeatedly said he’s not retiring at the end of this Congress, but that hasn’t tamped down speculation that the Ohio Republican is considering retirement.

The Hill recently surveyed dozens of Republicans in the House and the consensus was that the only lawmaker who could defeat Cantor is Ryan. (more…)

Kentucky Candidate Matt Bevin Fights The GOP MACHINE !

matt bevinLOUISVILLE, Ky.— For Matt Bevin, the rookie Senate candidate  taking on one of the most powerful Republicans in the country — and possibly the  most ruthless — every day on the stump brings a new hazing.

There was the time before he even jumped into the race against Senate  Minority Leader Mitch McConnell when Bevin was warned he’d be shunned by fellow  churchgoers once McConnell was finished making mincemeat of his reputation.  Campaign trackers follow Bevin constantly, recording his every public utterance  to turn the slightest slip into an attack ad or Web video. Vendors and  consultants one day say they’re ready to come on board only to ominously reverse  course the next, after mulling the repercussions of crossing McConnell.

“I’ve had people who’ve said, ‘You can use our donor list’ or ‘I’ll come on  with the campaign,’” Bevin said during a recent daylong campaign excursion  around Louisville. “Then all of a sudden they change their minds.”

Some have told him they were warned “it will be the last job you ever have in  this business” if they joined his campaign, he said. (more…)

Mitch McConnell Tries To Align With Tea Party To Save His Re-election Bid – Touts Relationship With Rand Paul….

DEFEAT MITCH – The rest is easy….

To me – the McConnell 2014 video is creepy, really creepy.   But then again I can think of no-one who is more dangerous to the cause of conservatism than Kentucky Decepticon, Mitch McConnell.

Rand Paul is walking a tightrope over the Rubicon betting on McConnell winning the primary challenge in May and then giving Paul the establishment Republican approval toward a presidential bid.

(Via The Hill)  Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) sought to emphasize his Tea Party ties Monday by signing papers to file for reelection with Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).

In a video released Tuesday, McConnell is shown signing his filing papers with Paul and Agriculture Commissioner Jaime Comer (R), who are both Tea Party favorites in Kentucky. (more…)

Christmas In May…

…. A Christmas wish that cannot be purchased and won’t be identified until May of 2014.
So much of what we are dealing in our daily lives is a direct result of the polar opposite of what is reflected in the birth story of Jesus Christ.
maryandjesus1In many ways the birth of Jesus challenged the contract between those who ruled and those who are forced by consequence to live under those rulers.   A leader born to serve people instead of demanding service from people.
Politically speaking, until the birth of Jesus Christ all leaders exhibited their will upon the people beneath them.    The Macedonians, the Babylonians, The Persians, the Romans and the Egyptians et al , all led from a power base of top down construct enforcing the will of Kings and Emperors.   Rules made by Rulers.
The birth of a Leader who would change the never negotiated contract to a concept of  service for His people was so extraordinary it became dangerous to even discuss such considerations.
So too do we find ourselves, albeit millennia removed, engaged in this exact same struggle today.   Nations of people ruled by power systems manipulated and constructed by the few against the will of many.  (more…)
