Why Mark O’Mara’s Ideology and Prior Mistakes Matter – Legal Integrity Counts

A massive amount of division lays at the heart of many George Zimmerman supporters regarding his legal counsel Mark O’Mara.    In an effort to heal the infection – here is why it matters, and what it infers moving forward.

Mark O'Mara interview

Personally, I am not a fan of Mark O’Mara – simply because I do not trust, nor am I willing to excuse, those who have shown a history of untrustworthy behavior.   However, I will try to disassociate myself from opinion and reflect upon the integrity issues within, because, quite frankly, George has NO option(s) – For better or worse, he’s stuck with him.

History –  Mark O’Mara ideologically, like his friend and CNN contributor Mark NaJame, is more in alignment with the people who are prosecuting George Zimmerman than the people who support him.   Mark O’Mara’s central outlook toward life is “progressive”, and he infers that sentiment into his approach.   This ideology and familiarity is why Mark NaJame’s firm recommended O’Mara.

In short, he’s a legally left-leaning Democrat; and his views on gun ownership, stand-your-ground laws and trial lawyers, are counterintuitive to the position of the client he represents.

Most professionals would argue that attorneys are capable of separating their individual biases when advocating for clients positions.   This is generally true;  However in the case of Mark O’Mara he has specifically framed George Zimmerman’s positions on the case as if he is distancing himself from his client.   Intellectually honest persons would agree with this overall impression that O’Mara exudes. The Illegal Activity of “Doxing”: Revealing “documents or personal information” about a person, without their permission, with the intent to Threaten, Harass, Intimidate, Shame, Humiliate or Place at Risk….

The majority of this article outlines the specific illegal and criminal activity of Miami Herald reporter Frances Robles on 7/13/12 and the substantial legal remedies available to Mark and Sondra Osterman.

However, due to new federal laws that apply to internet cyber-stalking, the broader points now apply in multiple internet forums and social media sites (ours included).   At the end of the outline we will explain how The Conservative Treehouse is now in the process of specific legal criminal and civil remedies against various sites affiliated with Trayvon Martin.

Frances Robles published the following –  Frances Robles and The Miami Herald:  […]  He was the friend who taught Zimmerman how to shoot and hosted his graduation party. As lesser acquaintances granted television interview after television interview, Mark Osterman never showed his face even as he offered shelter to a friend in need just when he had become one of the most controversial people in America.

In the summary of the friend’s interview with the FBI and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement released Thursday by the Duval County state attorney, the name and occupation of the friend is blacked out. But one memo in the 300 pages identifies him as an air marshal, and the interview he gave provides enough detail about the relationship to reasonably confirm his identity.

He told authorities that his wife presided over Zimmerman’s wedding. Zimmerman’s marriage certificate lists Sondra Osterman as the person who presided over the ceremony. Sondra Osterman’s Facebook profile shows she’s married to Mark, who posted that he travels for a living and works for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Among his Facebook likes: “Support George Zimmerman.”  (link 7/13/12)

As Expected – Miami Herald Frances Robles Parses Osterman’s Book For Damage To George Zimmerman

An avid advocate for the Trayvon Martin family and legal team, Frances Robles, critiques the Osterman book for inconsistencies in George Zimmerman’s account. We previously outlined the short-sighted risk and unintended consequences from misplaced advocacy within the book itself; and as expected every aspect of the Mark Osterman account is being dissected to create an inconsistent narrative.

MIAMI — Trayvon Martin grabbed his killer’s gun just moments before he died and uttered a profanity-laced threat. In a desperate life-or-death struggle, George Zimmerman clutched Trayvon’s wrist, broke his grip on the semi-automatic firearm and shot him once in the chest.

That account appears in a new book written by Zimmerman’s best friend and confidante.

There’s just one problem: Zimmerman never said that to the police.

Now the book, Defending Our Friend: The Most Hated Man in America, and author Mark Osterman’s two television interviews have landed on the prosecution evidence list, as more versions of Zimmerman’s story emerge. A man who wrote a book calling Zimmerman “the kindest and most sincere” person will wind up in court — for the prosecution, experts agree. (more…)

Dr. Phil VS The Ostermans

The anonymous author of the Osterman book deconstruction series requested the opportunity to share their perspective on the outcome of the Mark and Sondra appearance on the Dr. Phil show (air date Sept. 11th).    We present the following summation in their own words.  The following is NOT authored by TCH.

Dr Phil (Hatchet Man) vs. Ill-prepared Ostermans

I am not sure how to post comments about the show because there was so much back-and-forth it was hard to keep it straight. I have decided to address the show comments/discussions in order so that it makes sense.

I had planned on only addressing the Ostermans’ comments but I feel that it is important to talk about the show as a whole because it was exactly what was expected from Dr Phil, an AMBUSH.

It is obvious that the Ostermans had intended to help George through the book release and interview. With that said, those of us that were aware of the pending book and interview gritted our teeth in hopes that the Ostermans didn’t damage George’s case any further. SILENCE IS GOLDEN!

As stated in the Introductory Post last week in the Treehouse, there was ZERO upside for George in providing interviews to the media before the case is complete. There is no doubt that Corey was watching and will likely have the unedited tape in the next evidence dump.

Within the first minute of the show, as the pictures of a young, innocent Trayvon were plastered across the screen, all of us knew what slant the show would bring. When they showed the lightened picture of Trayvon in his hoodie it was confirmed that this would be another media hack job. I felt as though we were taken back to the days in March and April before evidence has been released and current photos were available. (more…)

Trayvon Martin VS George Zimmerman – Dr. Phil Show Monday September 10th

The Dr. Phil show will debut a new season on Monday September 10th.  Initially we knew that Mark and Sondra Osterman would be appearing to promote their new book, “Defending Our Friend The Most Hated Man In America”, along with the current wife of Tracy Martin, Trayvon’s step-mom, Alicia Stanley Martin.

Alicia is/was the step-mom of Trayvon Martin and the most consistent and stable female influence in his life for many years prior to his death.  She has made almost no public statements, and it was part of the controlled media narrative to keep her along with girlfriend, Ms. Brandi Green, out of the Ryan Julison created media construct.   However, apparently Alicia has found her voice.   Good for her.

The media consultant, Ryan Julison, who was hired by Martin Family attorneys Benjamin Crump and Natalie Jackson on March 5th, immediately felt it was better for the “public optic” if it appeared Tracy and Sybrina were more “traditional” parents. (more…)
