As the weeks go by it is becoming increasingly apparent that a profound disconnect exists amid a very large portion of the current year electorate regarding the goals and objectives of the apparatus we call the GOPe.
The group within the Republican party apparatus affectionately known as the “establishment”, or GOPe, does not now – nor do they ever – consider the progressive side of the political continuum, Democrats, as their enemy.
The enemy of the GOPe is the conservative base within the republican party.

If the GOPe lose a presidential election to a progressive democrat nothing amid their sphere of consequence changes. However, if the GOPe lose a presidential election to a conservative, independent, or constitutional republican – everything changes.
To understand how this evidences itself you need only travel to the most visible member of the Lee Attwater lineage, Karl Rove. When you understand Rove’s objectives toward fulfilling the goals and aspirations of the GOPe, you understand where the path leads. (more…)
- Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Ted Cruz TOTAL = 49%
- Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, Marco Rubio, John Kasich, Chris Christie TOTAL = 31%
Morning Consult Poll – […] Trump takes 31 percent of the vote in the new Morning Consult poll, easily outpacing retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson’s 13 percent. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) finishes in third place, at 10 percent, followed by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), at 7 percent.

[…] The Morning Consult tracking poll surveyed 1,983 registered voters between October 2-5, for a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points. A subsample of 807 self-identified Republicans and Republican-leaning independents carried a margin of error of plus or minus 3.45 percentage points. (link)
Latest PPP National Poll Donald Trump Leads 27% – Karl Rove, Fox News and Carly Fiorina all Failing…
The latest round of PPP national polling (pdf below) reflects the absolute disconnect between punditry and reality. Despite a month long campaign to push Carly Fiorina to the top of Mount Trumpet she’s going backward. Ergo, we see why the latest Fox News efforts shift to their last best hope to assist Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio.
Accordingly from PPP: Rubio is really the only candidate who can claim any sort of momentum. He’s gone from 5th place at 7% to 3rd place at 13% over the last five weeks. And he has a 57/24 favorability rating that puts him only behind Carson when it comes to the most broadly liked of the Republican hopefuls. No one other than Rubio has seen more than a 2 point gain since our last poll. (link)

You can read the desperation inherent between the lines of the Beltway Narrative as Donald Trump and the vulgarian assembly continues to retain a significant lead. Only in 2016 electoral politics would the current theme be displayed:
Trump is going to lose his way to victory !

Phyllis Schlafly posts an Op-Ed in the Investors Business Daily (not coincidentally the delivery vehicle for the only recent poll {377 voters selected} showing Donald Trump under 30% in the past five days) presenting a proposition that the GOPe is looking for a “Plan B” to the current abysmal republican failure known commonly as Jeb Bush.
The Republican establishment designed the process to deliver the 2016 presidential nomination to a business-friendly moderate who avoids so-called social issues. The consultants who rewrote the party rules after 2012 are now trying to explain to their patrons what went wrong and how to fix it.
Plan A, of course, was to assure the nomination of Jeb Bush, whose views are the perfect reflection of the Republican donor class.
But despite many months of campaigning, $114 million of political funds raised through June 30, and two presidential debates watched by a record-setting average of 24 million people, Jeb Bush has dropped to sixth place, registering only 4% in the latest Pew poll. (more)
Agree on all of it, except, well, there isn’t a “plan B” per se’. Plan-A is the successful nomination, by the apparatus known as “the establishment”, of Jeb Bush. All subsequent plans B through Z are to insure Plan-A. Period.

Eggs, meet basket.
The GOPe road map is so heavily contingent on Jeb Bush that no alternate plan was even considered, thought about, discussed or generally presented as plausible.
Every Wall Street luncheon since October 2013; every K-Street breakfast; every Chamber of Commerce dinner; every RNC national and regional rules meeting – ALL OF IT; has been built up based on a cornerstone and central tenet that Jeb would fulfill all of the handshake agreements contained within ALL of those meetings over the past 23 months.
There simply is no other option. Period. (more…)
The Rockingham County Republican Committee conducted a straw poll of 585 visitors to their booth at the Deerfield Fair this past weekend:

Despite multiple polling results reflecting a similar outcome the GOPe continue to advance a more favorable narrative toward Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina. Understanding the objectives of the RNC/GOPe “Splitter Strategy“, the approach makes sense. (more…)
HatTip iOTW – Here’s a brief snippet from a Jeb Bush interview. Watch at the :04 second mark for what makes Jeb! smile, perk up and say “Thanks Matt”:
…”Thanks Matt”…
You see, the really funny part – the part that makes the disconnect so well evidenced – the part where Jeb! views the bestest compliment ever – is the same part that makes 95% of the republican electorate cringe and say: no thank you. (more…)
Yesterday Reuters released a poll result showing Donald Trump with 34%. Oddly enough, IPSOS Conducted a Poll (commissioned by Reuters earlier in September), however Reuters never used/published it as a stand alone? [ Subsequently IPSOS Released it yesterday ]

These are findings from an Ipsos poll conducted for Thomson Reuters September 12-16, 2015. For the survey, a sample of 1,304 Americans, including 511 Democrats, 481 Republicans, and 172 Independents – RELEASED YESTERDAY (link)

Reuters Trend Polling and OAN/Gravis Polling have each announced and updated Presidential Polling for the GOP race 2016. The results are exceptionally similar. Both polling outcomes reflect Donald Trump with a massive lead amid the rest of the field.
Gravis Polling has Trump with 35% support. Reuters shows an almost identical 34% outcome. The downstream alignments with the remainder of the field are also very similar. Here’s the OAN/Gravis result:

[…] Gravis Marketing, a nonpartisan research firm, conducted the random survey of 2,665 registered voters across the U.S. regarding the presidential election. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 1.9%. The polls were conducted on September 30 through October 1, 2015 (link) Below is the graphic result from Reuters (more…)
A rather extensive poll was conducted by Pew Research and People Press. The results are devastating for Jeb Bush. Donald Trump carries a solid 25% support amid a crowded field with Jeb Bush only garnering 4% support.
The total support within the “Splitter Team” is a weak 22% (Bush, Rubio, Fiorina, Huckabee) and only rises to 24% if you add Rand Paul.
Yes, Donald Trump is supported by a bigger margin than Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee and Rand Paul combined.

- Trump, Carson and Cruz together = 47%.
- Bush, Rubio, Fiorina, Huckabee, Paul = 24%
YouGov has published another national poll of 450 Republican Voters (full pdf below). One of the more interesting aspects to this specific poll is the inability of the Fiorina Campaign to capitalize on the beneficial media.
Thanks in part to Operation Hummingbird, Carly Fiorina was given 15% of total political airtime as measured by Newsbusters. However, it would appear the larger electorate is well aware of Fiorina’s deceptive intention to portray herself as an “outsider”.

The full 155 page poll pdf is below. However, we are also pulling out some of the key data pages so you can see the specifics of where this poll result is coming from. (more…)
