Do Not Be Devoid

Justice Served – Texas Father Who Beat Rapist Of Five-Year-Old Daughter To Death With Bare Hands Will Not Be Charged

TEXAS – A Texas father who discovered a man raping  his five-year-old daughter and beat him to death with his bare hands will not be  charged with homicide under state law.
A Lavaca County grand jury decided not to  press charges against the 23-year-old father in the June 9th death of Jesus Mora  Flores, 47, who was killed inside a remote shack after he was caught molesting  the young girl.
Decision: Heather McMinn, district attorney for Guadalupe, Gonzales and Lavaca Counties, speaks at a news conference with Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon, second from right, and V'anne Huger, right, attorney for the father, in June

Heather McMinn, district attorney for Guadalupe, Gonzales and Lavaca Counties,  speaks at a news conference with Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon, second from  right, and V’anne Huger, right, attorney for the father.

Under Texas state law, deadly force is  authorized and indeed, justified in order to stop an aggravated sexual assault  and coupled with the fact that the harrowing 911 calls made by the father back  claims he even tried to save the pedophile’s life led to the grand jury’s  decision. (more…)

Pause For Prayer

Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with President Obama, and his decision to attack Syria as punishment for chemical weapon use, it is prudent, and we are personally requesting, for all of us, regardless of disposition, to pause and pray for the safety of our nation’s soldiers who will be tasked to carry out the command.

Like many, perhaps most, I do not support the approach – Nor do I think it is in our nations best interests. However, regardless of my disposition I am certain that our military will execute their objectives with unparalleled professionalism and respect for duty.

We should not be quiet; yet we should not bitch and moan without purpose.

We should fight like hell to have OUR voices heard by our representatives; and we should demand those who we have elected to hold the Executive Branch to account…..

a-prayer-for-times-like-these…. and then, in the final analysis, if our voice is overruled – regardless of our frustration or angst, we should present ourselves on bended knee and pray for those who ultimately are charged with carrying out the decisions of our national leadership.

It is from the diligence of our brave military we are able to rail, protest, and demand voice.

211 Game Suspension? Pfft…. Maybe A Better Solution….

Watching this cheating baseball player on TV proclaiming his “love of the game“, just gave me a real question to present him:

Instead of the 211 game suspension etc.   How about he be given an option of giving up his earnings, forgo endorsements, and keep a salary of only $250k per year, while giving the rest to the MLB for programs set up toward children’s sports related educational endeavors?

alex rodriquezThen we’d really find out if he “respected” and “loved the game”, or if it was something else….
NEW YORK (AP) — Alex Rodriguez was suspended through 2014 and All-Stars Nelson Cruz, Jhonny Peralta and Everth Cabrera were banned 50 games apiece Monday when Major League Baseball disciplined 13 players in a drug case – the most sweeping punishment since the Black Sox scandal nearly a century ago.
Ryan Braun’s 65-game suspension last month and previous punishments bring to 18 the total number of players disciplined for their relationship to Biogenesis of America, a closed anti-aging clinic in Florida accused of distributing banned performing-enhancing drugs. (more…)

Most Influential Blogger Award

The Right Truth has nominated The Conservative Treehouse for recognition.  That means they are recognizing YOU.  Because, as Jack Cashill rightly described, the Treehouse is a blogging “collective”.   We are not, ‘one person’ – We are, ‘one conversation’.
We have no idea how this stuff works, but are humbled that your efforts are attended.   That said, here is the notation describing the approach:  There is no voting for this award, just a nod from a friend or maybe someone you don’t even know who thinks your work bears merit. Thanks to The Right Truth.  Please visit their blog at the above link.
