Keeping with the football theme this is an awesome story. Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers (and David Gruber) partner for season three of itsAaron.com. This year Aaron and David are highlighting three amazing organizations who are doing big things for a lot of people. In this episode Aaron surprises four amazing kids who have lost their dads serving in the U.S. Military. Their mission is to help even more kids of fallen veterans attend Camp Hometown Heroes.

We have talked about Republican Governor (WI) Scott Walker since 2010 and the Stand With Scott campaign. For all intents and purposes Walker remains very high in favorability because of what he has actually accomplished, not what he has talked about, amid a field of GOP hopefuls.
In my humble opinion Walker is the best candidate to actually unite the GOP. Scott Walker is acceptable to conservatives, Tea Party groups, and increasingly to establishment Republicans. It is good to see him getting the recognition.
(Via Bloomberg) Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is surging, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush is an also-ran and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is dominating in a new poll of Iowans likely to vote in the nation’s first presidential nominating contest.

Eyes Wide Open – This announcement follows with what we previously shared yesterday regarding the current Islamist alignment (President Obama, Hamas, ISIS, Muslim Brotherhood, and Ansar Beit al-Maqdis) in Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Libya.  al-Sisi now viewed as the greatest threat to the fulfillment of the Islamic Jihad.

(Via WFB) The Muslim Brotherhood called for “a long, uncompromising jihad” in Egypt just days after a delegation of the Islamist group’s key leaders and allies met with the State Department, according to an official statement released this week.
Just days after a delegation that included two top Brotherhood leaders was hosted at the State Department, the organization released an official statement calling on its supporters to “prepare” for jihad, according to an independent translation of the statement first posted on Tuesday. (more…)

Paul Revere personally recounts his famous ride – In this undated letter Paul Revere summarizes the activities surrounding his famous ride on 18 April 1775. He recounts how Dr. Joseph Warren urged him to ride to Lexington to warn John Hancock and Samuel Adams of British troop movements. He arranged to signal the direction of the troops with lanterns from Old North Church and then had friends row him across the Charles River, borrowing a horse for his ride.
Revere wrote this letter at the request of Jeremy Belknap, corresponding secretary of the Massachusetts Historical Society. Revere signed his name to the letter but then wrote above it “A Son of Liberty of the year 1775” and beside it “do not print my name.” Nonetheless, the MHS included Revere’s name when it printed the letter in 1798.

Bill Whittle, Scott Walker, Catherine Engelbrecht…. each a wolverine, and all heroes.

Love, love, love, this little insider peek:

[Warner Bros. Distribution President Dan Fellman] joyfully recounted the phone call he placed to Eastwood last weekend, when he said “Clint, this is your biggest [opening] weekend ever.”
How’d he respond? “He’s the coolest dude on the planet, you know,” Fellman said. “He said, ‘Gee, man, that’s great.'”
Warner Bros. has been in business with Eastwood for many years, Fellman added — but “this kind of thing certainly required a phone call to the house.”

CNN MONEY – […] Indeed, it’s commanded the attention of the entire motion picture industry — and that attention is now turning toward this weekend, when the movie expands to 3,705 screens, 150 more than it was on last weekend.
The new record: this is the “widest release ever for an R-rated movie,” according to the definitive industry news site Box Office Mojo. (more…)

Americans love God, are patriotic, love the military, and have been under increasing leftist assault for almost 6 years. This is why Clint Eastwood’s patriotic movie about U.S. hero sniper Chris Kyle has hit at exactly the right time for a confluence of success.
The Box Office Records are being obliterated so fast the predictions of the Hollywood types are having to be revised upward by the hour – and the progressive Left is apoplectic in rage.
They.Just.Can’t.Stand.It !!
Leftist movie types like Michael Moore, and those of similar disposition who hate America, are having meltdowns at the success of American Sniper. They are so wound up with hate, they just don’t know what to do.

My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren't heroes. And invaders r worse

And this one carries a double-whammy that only divinely ironic intervention could deliver.
This is MLK holiday weekend, and the MLK movie “Selma” is also playing in theaters, in empty theaters. The professional left in Hollywood produced Selma to further their political narrative, and they are failing miserably. (more…)

The time capsule was unearthed back in 1855 (160 years ago), and replaced. It is set to be re-opened on January 6th, the feast of the Epiphany.
BOSTON (CBS) — The contents of a more than 200-year-old time capsule sealed in the State House by Sam Adams and Paul Revere will be unveiled on January 6, state officials announced Tuesday.
