On page 338 of Eric Metaxas’ biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, he comments on Bonhoeffer’s observations of America when he was in New York City during the summer of 1939.

Parents of a fourth grade student at Cedar Hills Elementary school found a disturbing note in their child’s backpack:  A crayon crafted pledge that stated:

“I am willing to give up some of my constitution rights in order to be safer or more secure.”

The note was part of a “civics lesson” based on materials provided in part, by an outside group of local attorneys known as “Justice Teaching”.  https://www.justiceteaching.org/

The lesson plan, in part, directs the teacher to compel the children to:

“ask all students to place their sticky post it notes on the appropriate chart papers labelled for that right.  Then ask all students to be seated. This provides a visual of which rights in the First Amendment are most valued and least valued by the group. Reference how many of the votes each right received.”:

While the Justice Teaching exercise is designed to open up a dialog about the sanctity and interconnectedness of “all” Rights, it has the potential to be – and apparently is – exploited to promote the agenda that “some” Rights are expendable in the pursuit of collective safety and security. Progs, and liberals, democrats, fabian-socialists, and to a lesser extent other political interests, but for the sake of exhaustive definition “progs”, are hell-bent on controlling the optical narrative of all things according to an agenda they define.

Now – This really happened (obviously because it’s on tape), and yet “Progs” (that means you progressives) will look around saying: “wha, what… so what, it doesn’t mean anything”?

Here’s the issue being debated.    If black men, or Muslim men, commit violence against women, should the media:

a) ….report the violence because the victim is female, and this supports our agenda

OR

b) ….. censor the violence because the perp is a racial minority, and that does not support our agenda.

Fabian Socialists = Modern Day Progressives. Modern Day Progressives are the Democrat Party. The Saul Alinsky approach is their preferred method of ideological advancement, and MSNBC is the primary professional media outlet for their messaging and optic systems.

Last week MSNBC ran a commercial for their network featuring Melissa Harris Perry.  The commercial was discussed in multiple forums because the message being delivered was “All your children are belong to us”.    Perry is a Tulane University professor and MSNBC host.

What is more interesting is the follow up commercial, the latest version.   This too outlines the Fabian Doctrine;  Only this one is about socialist economic models, the ideology of the economy the modern progressive movement are pushing right now:

MELISSA HARRIS-PERRY: Americans will always want some level of inequality because it’s a representation of a meritocracy.  People who work hard and sacrifice and save their money and make major contributions: we think that they should earn a little more. And they should have more resources. And that’s fine.

But we also however have to have a floor under which nobody falls. And if you’re below that, especially if you’re a child and you’re below that, we are not going to accept that. You do have the right to health care, and to education, and to decent housing and to quality food at all times.

This is EXACTLY the descriptive of Socialism.   AND it’s also the reason why this approach has been tried, and tried again, and always fails. (more…)

Get ready for another lavish display of love and respect for womanhood tonight.  The party of free love, free birth control, and all-you-handle free abortion, will again be paying homage to American women by giving them their most vaunted serial womanizer, Bill Clinton, as tonight’s keynote speaker.  (What’s the matter….was Larry Flint busy?)

Clinton’s obviously been chosen to put a fresh face on the 90’s good vibes, then peer straight into the camera and coo….”Hey baby, stick with Obama and things can be just the way they used to be.”  Yeah, old Bill must have been psychic when a while back he told Ted Kennedy, “A few years ago, this guy would have been carrying our bags.”  Because, that’s exactly what Obama will be doing tonight.

(NYPost)…Christiane Amanpour may soon be giving up the anchor chair on ABC News’ “This Week.” Sources say network honchos are mulling who might replace the award-winning journalist, who has struggled in the ratings since she jumped from CNN to take the reins of the public affairs show in August 2010. “There are discussions of Amanpour’s role changing to that of a global affairs anchor,” a source said. Possible names to fill her seat include ABC’s Jonathan Karl, Terry Moran, Matthew Dowd and Jake Tapper.   (more…)
