NEW YORK – Just a day after allegations reemerged that Donald Trump raped his ex-wife, Ivana Trump, the bombastic billionaire’s former spouse played down the controversy, saying that the two are still “the best of friends.”

“I have recently read some comments attributed to me from nearly 30 years ago at a time of very high tension during my divorce from Donald. The story is totally without merit,” Ivana Trump told CNN, referring to a Daily Beast report published Monday night in which Michael Cohen, a lawyer for the Republican candidate, defended his boss from a decades-old allegation that he once forced himself on his ex-wife.

“Donald and I are the best of friends and together have raised three children that we love and are very proud of. I have nothing but fondness for Donald and wish him the best of luck on his campaign,” she said.

“Incidentally, I think he would make an incredible president,” Ivana Trump, who divorced her husband in 1992, added. (read more)

Arrogance thy name is.

The President who has spent 7 years dividing Americans and disparaging everyone who disagrees with his policies, is now declaring himself the arbiter of who should be permitted to replace him.

(@2:10) “Certainly, presidential debates deserve better. In 18 months, I’m turning over the keys — I want to make sure I’m turning over the keys to somebody who is serious about the serious problems the country faces and the world faces.”

Only the politically naïve didn’t see this coming. The liberal outlet “The Daily Beast” begins to attack Donald Trump personally, through a method of hiding behind citations in old books and manipulating content/context delivery to attack their target.

The Daily Beast takes this very specific and very strategic approach because references to the statements/opinions of others  allows them to avoid libel and legal accountability.

For over a decade the political progressive news machine has finely tuned this attack approach. They do this by citing “according to“, such as in this example:

[…] What followed was a “violent assault,” according to Lost Tycoon.

Or they’ll use “the author writes“, and interplay it’s use in the written paragraph:

[…] Then he jams his penis inside her for the first time in more than sixteen months. Ivana is terrified … It is a violent assault,” Hurt writes.

Reading the Associated Press report of Hillary Clinton in Des Moines today you might think she outlined a policy speech on alternate energy to an interested Iowa audience.

Here’s the AP report:

(Via AP) Hillary Rodham Clinton is detailing new energy proposals in Iowa to address climate change. She calls global warming one of the “most urgent threats of our time.”

But she’s still not taking a position on the Keystone XL oil pipeline.

The Democratic presidential contender is proposing that every home in the United States be powered by renewable sources by 2027. Her plan calls for installation of 500 million solar panels over four years.

Clinton laid out clean-energy ideas during a tour of a regional bus station in Des Moines, Iowa, on Monday.

Clinton takes political pandering to new levels of opportunism.  It would appear Hillary is intent on having the insufferable “BLM movement”, and associated activists, become part of her campaign 

(Via Buzzfeed) Hillary Clinton has begun to court leaders in the Black Lives Matter movement — starting at the movement’s biggest gathering ever.

Over the weekend, Clinton’s black outreach director, LaDavia Drane, attended the Movement for Black Lives convention in Cleveland. That visit marked the campaign’s first outreach to the movement, which has seen even wider press coverage in the past week after activists disrupted a presidential forum at Netroots Nation.

That protest has been fresh in the minds of presidential campaigns and many of the at least 1,300 attendees — according to organizers — at the weekend’s convention.

The CNN/ORC Poll is the first publicly-released national telephone poll to be conducted entirely after Trump talked about Senator John McCain’s military record during an Iowa campaign event last weekend, drawing rebukes from Republicans for saying he didn’t think McCain is a war hero.

The majority of those Republicans surveyed that wants Trump to remain in the race includes numbers of those seen as the core of the GOP primary electorate: 58% of white evangelicals, 58% of conservatives, and 57% of tea party supporters. (more…)

A rare Sunday senate session provides a remarkable opportunity for the electorate to understand the deception behind the Republican Professional Political Class, the Decepticons.

As you reference the following Politico article, reflect upon the reality that the current House and Senate have larger Republican majorities than the Democrats held when ObamaCare was constructed in ’09 and passed in ’10.

Following Democrat losses in 2010 and 2012, when Harry Reid was the democrat majority leader, Reid changed the rules within the senate to allow his party agendas’ to pass with lower thresholds than traditional Senate Rules.

You might specifically remember the “reconciliation” maneuver which was used to allow ObamaCare to be created with a simple majority (50% +1) instead of 3/5th’s (60) [because Scott Brown won the special election 1/19/10 to stand as the 41st vote against the Dems].

Every legislative and parliamentary trick and strategy was deployed by Harry Reid to advance the agenda of his party.   President Obama defended the machinations by saying the electorate “doesn’t care about the process, they care about the outcome“. (more…)

The Benghazi Brief <- Will these facts finally be made public?

(Via KTLA) Hillary Clinton will publicly testify before the House Select Committee on Benghazi on Oct. 22, her spokesman said on Saturday.

Clinton was invited to appear before the committee investigating the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack earlier this week, Nick Merrill told CNN, and the former secretary of state and 2016 presidential candidate accepted that invitation on Friday.

Merrill said Clinton was “pleased” to receive the invitation to a public hearing from committee chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy. (more…)

WASHINGTON DC – The Obama administration formally announced that inspectors general will have to get permission from their agency heads to gain access to grand jury, wiretap and fair credit information — an action that severely limits the watchdogs’ oversight capabilities, independence and power to uncover fraud.

An opinion, issued by the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel, says the Inspector General Act of 1978 — which was written by Congress to create the government watchdogs in order to help maintain integrity within their agencies — does not have the authority to override nondisclosure provisions in other laws, most notably in regard to grand jury, wiretap or fair credit information.
