If ever the media needed evidence of why the vast majority of Americans despise their profession you only need to look as far as Des Moines Register reporter Brianne Pfannenstiel, and the agenda she displays as she carries out her assignment.

Ms. Pfannenstiel is assigned to cover the campaigns of Donald Trump and Lindsey Graham, and apparently she views part of that responsibility to research and broadcast who is donating to the campaigns.  She then ridicules donors publicly through social media.

Obviously Ms. Pfannenstiel went out of her way to look up the federal election campaign filings for donors to the Donald Trump campaign and then took to social media to highlight the name, address, contribution amount and belittle the $250 contributor.

The latest Fox News national poll on the 2016 election finds that Donald Trump has the edge, as GOP primary voters by wide margins identify him as the best candidate on the economy, as well as the one most likely to beat presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.  The poll also finds Ben Carson remains within striking distance of Trump. As we have stated previously, no-one has ever fully vetted Marco Rubio; which is a problem for the GOPe supporters. Apparently the media are now taking an additional interest. His finances are the least of his historical issues.

FLORIDA – […]  Sen. Rubio’s past is under fresh scrutiny as he emerges as a top presidential prospect. During last week’s debate, he deflected questions about his financial discipline — most recently, he liquidated a retirement account — but those questions will only intensify.

“For years, I’ve been hearing that his credit cards are a disaster,” Donald Trump said Tuesday during a news conference in New York City.

The Tampa Bay Times asked Rubio’s team for the records in June and again in early October.

A top strategist, Todd Harris, said Tuesday they would be released soon, possibly within the month, but declined to answer questions about what they might contain. (more…)

Here’s the latest results from a Quinnipiac National Poll released today (full pdf below).  Unfortunately, yet again, even with all of their resources, the polled sample is intensely small (only 502 republicans).

At this point these large organizations, NYT/CBS (300), NBC/WSJ (400), and now Q-PAC (500), using small samples to present a national narrative – cannot reasonably be considered coincidental.  These quantifying decisions deliberate; they are also sketchy and bear the familiar signatures of media ‘gaslighting’:

(Via Q-PAC) Trump gets 24 percent of Republican votes, with Carson at 23 percent, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida at 14 percent, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas at 13 percent, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 4 percent, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University Poll finds. No other candidate tops 3 percent, with 9 percent undecided, and 63 percent who might change their mind. Folks, the people in “Fly over” country are PISSED, from the guy that guides hunters, to the mayors of towns and cities, to state senators congressmen and Governors who are voting to arrest and imprison federal law enforcement officials for enforcing federal gun laws that don’t agree with state law … The political pendulum has never, in the history of humanity, stayed on one side of a swing. The back lash from over reach has always been proportionate to how far off center it went before coming back … right now we’re staring at a whole hell of a lot of the country (about 80-90% of the land mass, as well as about 50% of the population) that is FED UP.
