Today President Obama signed the PROMESA (Puerto Rico Bailout) bill created by representative Paul Ryan, and with it the immediate suspension of the Fifth Amendment which was supported by a Senate vote yesterday.

The Fifth Amendment protects U.S. Citizens from federal seizure of property without compensation.
It applies in this instance to Puerto Rico via the general obligation bonds (property) purchased by municipal bond holders (investing citizens), which were supposed to be repaid, and which congress has now determined can be frozen.
In addition, PROMESA suspends legal redress, by blocking bond holders (property owners) from suing the debtor (PR) to recover their property. In essence the Fifth Amendment is suspended, and the rights of those whose property has been confiscated to use the courts has been preemptively denied.
FIFTH AMENDMENT – No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
An unelected, entirely appointed, bureaucratic panel of DC political agents/appointees is now in control of the entire process. (more…)
It does not take a political junkie to begin connecting the globalist dots. And with the brutality of the sunlight upon them, the affiliations become increasingly transparent.
Samantha Power, Ted Cruz, Barack Obama, Mitch McConnell, Heidi Cruz and Paul Ryan UNITED in common cause! Anticipate Glenn Beck and Mark Levin to run the distraction and avoidance campaign.

(Via Bloomberg) At least 15 U.S. companies led by Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Alphabet Inc. have pledged money to help the Obama administration resettle refugees fleeing the Syrian civil war and other international conflicts.
[…] The companies have pledged to fund programs that assist refugees and aid workers directly. Airbnb Inc., for example, will donate credits for relief workers to book housing through its site.
[*note* Bloomberg edits their original article, removing a sentence from paragraph above and notes: “Corrected to remove reference to Chobani yogurt hiring additional refugees in ninth paragraph, which the company has not announced.”]
Goldman Sachs, which has already contributed $4.5 million in response to the crisis, says it will underwrite programs to help refugees learn English and gain employment skills. Alphabet’s Google will provide consulting and technology to nonprofits the company says will help more than 1 million refugees worldwide access information and education this year. (more…)

More evidence for the last several weeks of transparent media agenda polling (poll manipulation) surfaces today with the release of a new Rasmussen Poll.
Overall Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton 43/39. With Independent Voters (no party affiliation) Trump leads Clinton 45/27:

However, perhaps the most stunning internal detail in the poll is this:
[…] Trump how holds a 14-point lead among men, while Clinton leads by six among women. The candidates are tied among those under 40, while Trump leads among older voters.
Clinton continues to hold a wide lead among blacks. Trump leads among whites and other minority voters. (link)
Yes, Trump leads among Hispanic voters.

When you think about “Trade Deals” – even the phrase elicits a myriad of opinions that causes the intellectual class to immediately drag the conversation into the esoteric weeds.
So allow me to give you an example of modern trade discussion using something many will be familiar with: Fig Newtons. Specifically, Nabisco brand Fig Newtons.
How do you make a Fig Newton? Who is involved in the process of making a Fig Newton? And how does that chewy snack reach your market? Understand that process and you understand the fundamental flaw in 2016 Trade deals. Fig Newtons also highlight how to destroy the middle class.
There are three general aspects, and three groups responsible, to making a Fig Newton available to you. The supply chain is known as “field to fork”, but any manufactured product can be viewed in the same three general ways:
So let’s give the Fig Newton supply chain a face: (more…)

The key point from the latest Quinnipiac University Poll (full pdf below) is not so much the result of a statistical neck-and-neck race, but rather how the release proves the prior media polls are transparently biased and constructed to benefit Hillary Clinton.

As we have shared previously, media polls are useless in this election for genuine comparative purposes. There has not been a single Trump / Clinton media poll in the past month that has not been (transparently) an agenda poll.
The Quinnipiac poll methodology (available here) shows it was conducted from June 21 to June 27, and used 1,610 registered voters. Quinnipiac puts out a fully detailed methodology and accepts the MOE (margin of error) is weighted to favor Hillary Clinton due to the increasing reliance on cell phone contacts.
