Media Matters has spent years promoting “Card Check” unionization rules and liberal positions on the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).   However, when the SEIU move to unionize the Media Matters workers they quickly jump to the NIMBY Ship.

(Washington Free Beacon) Leftwing lapdog Media Matters for America is taking advantage of the Republican’s “anti-union” agenda to stonewall the SEIU’s attempt to unionize its staff.
MMFA is forcing its employees to conduct a secret ballot election that will determine whether or not they can join SEIU Local 500, a Maryland union, according to papers filed with the National Labor Relations Board.
The liberal organization, which is headed by Hillary Clinton cheerleader David Brock, has hired management-side labor attorneys at Perkins Coie, a firm that has represented dozens of Democratic candidates and liberal PACs, to oversee the process. (more…)

Earlier in the day today the State Department was questioned about sending U.S. support to Ukraine.    In response State Dept. Spokewoman said:  “we are not going to get into a proxy war with Russia” [ergo we are not going to send arms or weaponry to the Ukraine government]  Yet Russia is acting specifically and intentionally with a proxy war mentality toward us.

(Via Moonbattery) For the liberal agenda to succeed, individual conscience must be eliminated, so that only the State and its affiliates determine what is right and wrong. That won’t happen so long as Christianity exists in a meaningful form.
Unfortunately for our liberal rulers, they do not yet have the political leverage to repeal the First Amendment, which explicitly prohibits restrictions on the free exercise of religion.
No worries; they simply twist the establishment clause of this same amendment to mean there can be no Christianity where there is government. In a country where government has bloated to the point of crowding out almost everything that is not coercion-based, that is virtually the same as a ban.
For example, colleges are heavily subsidized by the government; therefore, Christianity can be purged from college football teams. (more…)

REMEMBER THE BIGGER BROTHER? – If we had unlimited resources I would love to put a research team together to research all of the information data-mining that’s currently going on.   After some research on my own I was astounded to read the “business models” of quasi-private businesses who are currently engaged in analysis for the legality of various information sharing concepts with governmental agencies.
It looks like THIS
APLR collections and various registration/information hubs are evolving rapidly and there is no currently proposed legislation to allow people to “opt out”.   I’m not even sure if there ever will be a technological way to opt out.
WASHINGTON DC – As if many Americans needed another reason to dislike the post office, word now comes that it wants to begin mining and selling private data gathered from the personal mail of Americans.
USPS chief marketing and sales officer Nagisa Manabe recently told the PostalVision 2020 conference that the post office is “actively looking for ways to build new business lines around what not long ago might have been considered science fiction.”

(Via Daily Caller) Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage.
“What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.”
“I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, “I was stunned by the attacks.” (read more)

SOUTH HUNTINGTON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Two Long Island high school students have been suspended for allegedly bringing a Confederate flag to school.
Brother Gary Cregan, principal of St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, said the two seniors walked in with a Confederate flag draped around their shoulders during an after-hours sporting event at the school.
As CBS 2′s Kathryn Brown reported, there is outrage and disgust on Long Island.

“The African-American students who immediately saw it really exercised heroic restraint and fortunately a teacher immediately confiscated the flag and took the students out of the gym,” Cregan said.

You might remember the murder of Australian college baseball player and exchange student Chris Lane last year in Oklahoma.
A normally quiet weekend in the small southwestern Oklahoma town of Duncan was horribly interrupted last year, when a car carrying three teenagers pulled up behind a lone white male jogger.  The teens in the car fired on the jogger, Chris Lane, with a .22 caliber revolver, striking him in the back.  As horrified witnesses looked on, the jogger staggered and dropped to his knees as the car sped away.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.
James Francis Edwards Jr., 15, and Chancey Allen Luna, 16, were charged with murder in the first degree.  The oldest member of the group, 17 year old Michael Jones, believed to be the driver of the vehicle, gave Duncan police a mind-boggling explanation for the crime: “We were bored and didn’t have anything to do, so we decided to kill somebody.“

Five years ago many of us were talking about why the White House would take Census Polling responsibility away from the Dept. of Commerce.  At the time we did not know specifically why they were doing it – but we sensed it was nefarious.    We predicted it was a typical Chicago Politics strategy to mold comparative data that directly would show consequences to long-term policy.  We were right. 
WASHINGTON DC – In 2009, in the earliest weeks of President Barack Obama‘s administration, the White House made the controversial decision to take the unprecedented step of moving the Census Bureau from control of the commerce secretary over to the White House ahead of the decennial 2010 census.
Conservatives sounded alarm bells. “It takes something that is supposedly apolitical like the census, and gives it to a guy who is infamously political,” said Rep. Rob Bishop (R-UT) of then White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. […]
