Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker – The Anti-Christie ?

All we want for Christmas is a solid semblance of Hope.

Hope that Senator Mitch McConnell will be defeated in the Kentucky primary next May. Beyond that, who knows?….

But Marc Thiessen makes a good case for Scott Walker 2016. Read it HERE
Actually, if you begin with the end in mind, it will take a McConnell defeat to even make the consideration of a Walker nomination possible.

Quote Of The Weekend – George Will: “All Hell Is Going To Break Loose” (When Employers Dump Plans Because Of Obamacare)

…. “Watch the employers, because if they start dumping people into Medicare and into Medicaid, and the doctors then say, ‘The burdens are too high, and the reimbursement is too low, we’re not seeing Medicaid patients,’ then all hell is going to break loose”…

An Outbreak of Lawlessness

Charles Krauthammer discusses recent events in his latest editorial column titledAn Outbreak of Lawlessness“:
King Obama the law is what I say it is(Via WaPo) For all the gnashing of teeth over the lack of comity and civility in Washington, the real problem is not etiquette but the breakdown of political norms, legislative and constitutional.
Such as the one just spectacularly blown up in the Senate. To get three judges onto a coveted circuit court, frustrated Democrats abolished the filibuster for executive appointments and (non-Supreme Court) judicial nominations.
The problem is not the change itself. It’s fine that a president staffing his administration should need 51 votes rather than 60. Doing so for judicial appointments, which are for life, is a bit dicier. Nonetheless, for about 200 years the filibuster was nearly unknown in blocking judicial nominees. So we are really just returning to an earlier norm. (more…)

U.S. Border Security – Flashback to 2007: The Border Guards "Ran Away"….

Border Patrol agentsThe event highlighted yesterday at the U.S. Mexican border reminded me of an event from eight years ago.
(Via V-Dare 2007)  Armed Mexican gunmen advanced to “within yards” of a National Guard observation post on the U.S. Mexican border. The Guardsmen ran away.

Guardsmen overrun at the Border Channel 12 News, Arizon Jan. 4, 2007 02:44 PM
A U.S. Border Patrol entry Identification Team site was overrun Wednesday night along Arizona’s border with Mexico.
According to the Border Patrol, an unknown number of gunmen attacked the site in the state’s West Desert Region around 11 p.m. The site is manned by National Guardsmen. Those guardsmen were forced to retreat.
The Border Patrol will not say whether shots were fired. However, no Guardsmen were injured in the incident.
The Border Patrol says the incident occurred somewhere along the 120 mile section of the border between Nogales and Lukeville. The area is known as a drug corridor. Last year, 124-thousand pounds of illegal drugs were confiscated in this area.
The Border patrol says the attackers quickly retreated back into Mexico.

In Defense of Radel – To Err is Human…

We’ve all seen these press conferences where a politician, or public official, or ( fill in the blank ) are caught doing something generally regarded as wrong.   Their behavior is not inappropriate, it’s not misguided, it is just plain wrong.  We’ve seen too many of them including from President Clinton and numerous others.
Traditionally if it is a male politician, politico, or other, the wife stands next to the husband and he apologizes – then discussions and/or judgmental frenzies ensue driven mostly by the media analysts. The lesser the perceived sincerity, the more manipulative or controlling the apology, the harsher the judgment hammer falls  upon the flawed.
That said, this has to be one of the most raw, honest and sincere admissions of personal flaws I have ever witnessed.   Congressman Tray Radel stood in front of the media, accepted his total and complete ownership of the issue, and never deflected a scintilla of accountability away from himself.

As disappointing as the admitted cocaine use is – I salute his raw honesty and the manner in which he conducted himself in the public square. I also appreciate the decision of his family for his wife to stay home at 10:00pm with their 3 year old son. The healing amid his family is not a matter of, or for, public consumption.
One of the reasons I highlight this video is because the “establishment class” of republicans are seeking to reinstall Republican family legend Connie Mack Jr. to replace Radel. I’d rather have an honestly flawed man in congress than a dishonest Decepticon any day of the week.

Kentucky Senate Candidate Matt Bevin Interview

Breitbart has a great interview and outline available where they interview Mitch McConnell’s primary challenger, Matt Bevin. Here are some excerpts:
matt bevin[…] There is a tug of war going on between ‘We the People’ who still believe at the ballot box that this is a government by and for us. And it’s a battle between us and those who think it’s by and for a handful and that that handful gets to self-select and self-profligate and self-choose who’s next in line.”
[…] We are as a nation, and I don’t care what side of the aisle people are on, seventy-plus percent of Americans strongly believe that we’re on the wrong path financially and I couldn’t agree more,” he stated. “The path we’re on financially is unsustainable. And I look at my children and I think I can leave money to them, I can try to leave businesses to them, but to have in what type of America? What type of a world?” (more…)

Dump Mitch ! – Mitch McConnell "HATES" The Tea Party and Senate Conservative Fund – We Support Both…

Boehner McConnellSenator Mitch McConnell is desperate to retain his seat.   He is doing everything within his considerable power to destroy the Jim DeMint established Senate Conservative Fund who are supporting four solid CONSERVATIVE Candidates.
McConnell’s latest pressure from the establishment class is directed toward staff working inside the SCF.    McConnell is growing more rabid and more intense as the months lead up to the May 2014 Kentucky primary.     He is threatening to destroy anyone who stands against him and the establishment GOP.
In as much as President Obama has ruled by dictatorial fiat against the wishes of the average center-right American, likewise does Mitch McConnell hold a similar view of power.     If McConnell hates the SCF every patriot should support it.   Here’s the latest message from the Senate Conservative Fund about the four current 2014 conservative candidates.
(VIA SCF)  Thanks to your support, our four endorsed candidates for U.S. Senate are making remarkable progress. Here’s a quick update on these critical races. (more…)

DUH ! New CNN Poll Shows Some Sheep Walking…

duh Washington (CNN) – Only four out of 10 Americans believe President Barack Obama can manage the federal government effectively, according to a new national poll.
And a CNN/ORC International survey released Monday morning also indicates that 53% of Americans now believe that Obama is not honest and trustworthy, the first time that a clear majority in CNN polling has felt that way.

Dictatorial Fiat Example #527,633 – President Obama Delays start of Obamacare enrollments from Oct. 15, 2014 to Nov. 15, 2014 (*Note: after the midterm election)…..

You have to give the Democrats credit for the openly visible audacity to call Republicans Obstructionists and Terrorists for their delay tactics –  then openly doing exactly the same when it can be used to serve their political interests.

Meanwhile a nation of slack jaws just stand quietly and watch a spineless Congress do exactly NOTHING about it.

Why Mitch McConnell Supports Harry Reid's Use of The "Nuclear Option" – The Elimination of Minority Consent…

Sometimes the only thing a person can do is to inform others the scope, size and propensity of the opponents armory – the listener can then judge for themselves what the enemy is going to do with it.

EnoughPaul Revere did as much when he spotted The Somerset, a British Man-O-War, resting in the bay of Charlestown – His mounted ride thereafter was written into the history of our Republic.
Today the enemy is more common; yet beholden of a similar stealth and specific intent.   Today the enemy is, as it was well predicted to be, the Washington DC political class.  More specifically the GOP establishment; and more specific still – the head of that class, Mitch McConnell. (more…)
