The Kurds battling for Kobane (Kobani) continue to request resupply and additional weapons from the U.S. and Turkey. However, neither President Obama nor President Erdogan have done anything to provide reinforcements for the Kurdish fighters.
Despite their isolation, and with assistance from airstrikes in the surrounding terrain, Kurdish fighters have been able to recapture strategic locations from ISIS control.

SYRIA – Kurdish fighters have launched an unlikely comeback against Islamic State terrorists besieging the Syrian town of Kobane, amid claims the resistance forces have now reclaimed swathes of the city.
Images this morning showed Kurdish YPG soldiers triumphantly raising their flag above Tel Shair hill in the west of the city, where ISIS’ own black jihadist flag had recently been flying.
Assisted by sustained U.S. and Arab airstrikes, the massively outgunned Kurdish troops have managed to do what looking impossible only a week ago – force ISIS to abandon strategic locations in the west of Kobane and pin them back elsewhere in the city.

The article left me trying to figure out how the witness could be on the passenger side of the SUV, the same distance from the SUV as his opinion of the construction workers location, yet see the entire event from very beginning to end? He also says he was close enough to hear the conversation at the SUV. These statements contradict each other.
I think I know who this “witness” is…..
CLAYTON • A stream of eyewitnesses has been testifying in secret before a grand jury considering whether to indict police officer Darren Wilson in the fatal shooting of Michael Brown near the Canfield Green apartments in Ferguson.
One Canfield resident — who said he saw the killing of Brown from start to finish and talked to the grand jury recently — has given the Post-Dispatch an account with some key differences from previous public statements from other witnesses.
Among the recollections of the witness, who agreed to an interview on the condition that his name not be used, were:
•After an initial scuffle in the car, the officer did not fire until Brown turned back toward him.
•Brown put his arms out to his sides but never raised his hands high.
•Brown staggered toward Wilson despite commands to stop.
•The two were about 20 to 25 feet apart when the last shots were fired.
•He would not detail what he told the grand jury but said the members seemed fair and asked a lot of questions.

This is what happens when you politicize a public health issue. Bureaucrats have to keep the concentric circles of protectionism around the President fully supported. Contradictions then become glaringly obvious.
CBS Reports Ms. Vinson was cleared to fly with a fever by the CDC. Today the CDC says Ms. Vinson should never have flown.
You know…. well,… protocols and such. Yeah…. watch:

The most unfortunate outcome so far is that Ebola has become politicized. Val Jar and McDonough are applying the political prism to every statement, policy, instruction, speech and action. Hence all the inherent contradictions…
EXAMPLE:
Vinson called CDC several times before flying, informed staff she had fever. It allowed her to fly, reports @DrLapook on @CBSEveningNews

WASHINGTON – White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest today reaffirmed that the government doesn’t think a travel ban between the U.S. and countries affected with Ebola is a good idea. Fox News’ Ed Henry asked, “Why is it still appropriate for the U.S. to allow people to fly to America from the hot zone?”

Earnest said, “Quite simply, Ed, because there are –– there’s a multi-layered screening protocol that’s in place to ensure that individuals that may have symptoms consistent with Ebola are not even able to board planes in West Africa.”
He said plenty of people haven’t been allowed on planes for that very reason, and there’s additional screening for any American who flew to that part of the world and wants to reenter the country. (more…)
Yeah, well, we haven’t forgotten this – and apparently the Virginia police have not yet found Hannah Graham.

Honestly, I’ll admit I had to put the research away for a while because it was so disturbing. Yet, every day I’d stare at the white board and kept coming back to the dates. The dates -and- the creepy profile.
What is it about these dates? What it is about this geography? A geography of familiarity because I’ve spent quite a bit of time up and down the Appalachian trail much, much earlier in life. Perhaps that’s what’s so unnerving.
Without going into detail about all the scratched out post-it notes. I think there’s a possibility worth pursuing.
“Summer Camps” in Virginia.
Specifically camps that have summer activities, sleepover camps, for kids. A camp that Jesse Matthew might have familiarity with, or might even have attended. [And or campgrounds that are only seasonally active during the summer.]
Unattended, “off season” summer camps might make a good place for egress and access within distance to the geography. (more…)
The siege of Kobane (Kobani) enters day #29 tomorrow. The Kurdish men, women and entire families continue to hold about two-thirds of the city.
Day #28 saw six suicide car bombs from ISIS aimed at Kobane leadership positions inside the city. Meanwhile in Turkey President Erdogan still refuses to assist the sieged city and will not permit Kurdish citizens from Turkey to cross the border to join their brothers and sisters in arms.

To the contrary today saw Erdogan actually begin to bomb the Kurds inside Turkey in clear violation of a 2 year ceasefire. Erdogan is doing just about everything he can to speed up the collapse of Kobane in Northern Syria. The longer Kobane holds out, the more politically dangerous the elements within Turkey become to the centralized power of Sunni Erdogan.
Simultaneously, pressure, or more aptly put, “optics” and “political pressure” are creating a disconcerting place for President Obama. At his core Sunni Obama wants desperately to support his ideological brother, Erdogan. However, the longer the Kurds in Kobane are able to hold on, the more pressure mounts upon Obama as more people begin to ask the question ‘why is he not helping them’?

Missing Mayo – When is a sandwich not a sandwich? When it’s a stolen 9mm Smith and Wesson in the hands of a convicted felon wearing an ankle monitoring bracelet and shooting at the police !
ST. LOUIS • Gunshot residue tests and ballistics evidence indicate that Vonderitt D. Myers Jr. fired a gun at a police officer before being fatally shot, police and union officials said Tuesday.
Although police officials have already said that Myers fired at least three shots at an off-duty police officer before the officer returned fire, the newly released evidence could further dispel claims by friends and family that Myers was holding a sandwich, not a gun, when he was shot. The officer, who has not been named, was working for a private security company in the Shaw neighborhood.
[…] The Missouri Highway Patrol analysis found gunshot residue on Myers’ hands, on his shirt and inside the waistband and pockets of his jeans. Police said that although gunshot residue can be present on anyone near a shooting, the results show levels consistent with Myers being the shooter, because the police officer was standing too far away. New York – A mob of [black] teenagers in Crown Heights, New York City, vandalized a Jewish-owned business Saturday night, then damaged several nearby cars and buses before shouting “Heil Hitler” and leaving the area, witnesses said. The incident was captured on security camera.
The store, Gourmet Butchers, was likely targeted because it was owned by Jews, the owner, Yanki Klein, told the local ABC News affiliate. The group, which various media sources described as consisting of 30 to 70 youths, primarily African-American, started “to scream and make noise” and then “everything happened in seconds,” Klein said.
