First we must remember the immortal words of Hank “tippy guam” Johnson as he described his perspective on what happened to Trayvon Martin:
Meet 32-year-old Ebony Steward, who attacked two white people because they just shouldn’t be allowed to exist in a black neighborhood.Perhaps Saint Louis could underwrite a safety tax. A fee payable by citizens to insure their ability to remain alive. http://t.co/f5HP9M5RZe

The mayor has not fully identified the amount of allowable violence he will permit, which leaves Saint Louis citizens to wonder what will be the allowable quota for businesses to be looted, torched, and/or individuals to be attacked? Will murder be discouraged, or frowned upon?… so many questions.
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay has requested 400 members of the National Guard to help in the city after the grand jury’s decision is announced in the Michael Brown case.

He has also agreed to some of the Don’t Shoot Coalition’s proposed rules of engagement. (more…)
Perhaps Mike Brown’s mom, Lesley McSpadden, is too busy coordinating the next T-Shirt promotion. Or perhaps Mike Brown Senior is too busy scheduling the next private jet trip to Europe while meeting with celebrities to grift more money from his death. Regardless of reasoning, Mike Brown’s body remains in unmarked grave three months after his death.

A CNN writer visited the cemetery and takes note:
[…] I follow the footprints to a small bouquet of plastic flowers, red and purple, planted in the ground.
There is not yet a headstone at Brown’s grave. I stand where Brown’s parents wailed as their son’s casket was lowered on August 25 into a copper vault. Sixteen days before, he had been shot dead by Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson.
One minute, the 18-year-old stood 6 feet 4. The next, he fell to the ground on Canfield Drive. His blood colored the dull asphalt.
The White House strategy to leak a far reaching executive office proposal (Fox News) appears to have been deliberately done to initiate angst in advance of a somewhat lesser, but still stretching, objective. By leaking an extreme case scenario the lesser proposal usurpation becomes diluted/moderated. President Obama is scheduled to give a prime time speech tomorrow night at 8pm with details saved for Friday in Las Vegas.

(Washington Post) President Obama will announce Thursday that he will use his executive authority to expand temporary protections to millions of undocumented immigrants, according to several individuals who have been briefed on the decision. Obama will travel to Las Vegas on the heels of that announcement to rally support for his initiative on Friday.
Congress will receive official details on the move Thursday, according to a senior Democratic Party official.
Even before final confirmation of the president’s plans, outside advocates began readying events to promote the administration’s immigration policy. (more…)
It was only a few days ago when we pondered the question “Where’s Jamal Bryant and the Baltimore AME Church network”? As if on cue, Jamal Bryant surfaces:
Pastor Bryant has sired five children from three different women, one child came to light as the result of a lawsuit for failing to provide child support. He acknowledged this one, a daughter, for the first time from the pulpit only after the court battle over child support payments surfaced. His trophy wife, model, and mother to three of his children, Gizelle Bryant, divorced him in 2008.• Officer Darren Wilson pushed into vehicle by Mike Brown. • A Struggle ensued. • Two shots fired inside vehicle. • One bullet striking the hand of Mike Brown. • Blood from right arm wound on interior door, uniform and officers weapon. • Gun powder residue also on hands of Mike Brown. • Attorney for Dorian Johnson admits DJ lied to media.
